It's coming home baby.

I'm in Vegas, it's gonna be so fun to have everyone come to me haha. Home field advantage!! Got my email today, so yes, we can confirm that A+ are allowed in.

It's going to be here during SEMA as well which is going to just be incredible. PD is killing it!!

Why you from Aussies go there, make some noise to PD to solve the latency problem.

At least on par with us from Malaysia / Singapore at 4 bars.
Something definitely should be done.

Latency problem is due to very crappy Australian internet
Many in Australia have pretty reasonable connections these days but that can't overcome the distance to the server.

PD have no control over tectonic plates, so it would just be noise complaining to them
As above, it's the distance to the server. If PD put their server in a more centralized location it would be far better, and a more even playing field, for everyone in our region. No need to rearrange the world

Congratulations on the invite. Las Vegas is a pretty cool place to have a live event.

Would it be possible to get a schedule/calendar for all the upcoming events in the first comment?

I'm in Vegas,

I've been in Vegas in 06/2014 (stayed in Riviera), what a crazy place!

After I did bet 20$ on black and won, my goal to be able to call myself "the only guy who leaves Vegas with a plus" was reached and I didn't gamble further :)

I'm sure even the driver most disappointed with his race will not regret a single minute to have been there.

I'm probably one of the few people that kinda wished America regionals was somewhere else. See, I've lived in Vegas for quite a while and so I was hoping to visit a new locale.

Still, it'll be great to see even more drivers. I'm sure @Wardez and I can be mini-tour guides of sorts. I'll see if I can bring my stuff so we can actually play the original Gran Turismo. Assuming my original Playstation still works.

It's easy to think Vegas is all about gambling but there's a lot more than that. So many great eating options (that's not the buffet) and I like to buy stuff there since you can get great deals if you know where to look. Really hoping to have enough time to do a round of karting as well.

I weirdly got an email as well. Probably for back up purposes?
Exactly. There can be many reasons why someone that has qualified may not be able to make it and so next driver up will get to go in their place. They may even bring in a reserve driver so it's worth filing out the form just in case.

27th in Japan is competing this weekend in Asia, so you may be competing after all (Guys just out the country limit in EMEA didn't get an email). Guys ahead of you in the standings may not be of age, unavailable on those dates or potentially excluded for breaking rules.

Yeah from what I understand if you receive an invite this time around you WILL be competing, they didn't send any extra invites out this time

If you get invited when you were outside of your country limit, it essentially means someone ahead of you has been a bit naughty or refused the invite.

I might be spending my 21st birthday in Vegas then...

If that’s the case... I better get the T-GT...

Really interesting format...

Some will have time to practice a bit if they're clever haha.

The block system is good keeping to tracks in each nation. Means Americans for our block are gonna have to get good at Willow Springs

I know so many of the guys hate that track. It's either that or Blue Moon Bay infields haha

It's good that 6 out of the 10 Japanese players go through to the final. They recognise that is where there is a higher talent pool generally than the other nations in the region and hence more final slots available. Hopefully they do something similar for the other 2 Regionals.

It's actually the Top 2 from each block (Japan, Australia, Rest of Asia/Oceania) plus the Top 2 from each of the Consolation Races (i.e. an N300 race around Tsukuba for those who are in 3rd to 8th from each block, which is then separated into Race A and Race B) that will go into the Asia/Oceania Final and qualify for the World Final. Those who finished 9th and 10th from each of those 3 blocks are instantly knocked out.
