I voted just in case, but like I said, I don't think I'll be able to make the "International time" until mid/late November. So have fun this Sunday, everyone! I'll still be up for the mock races and stuff.

--AHHH, sorry to hear Thermite. You will be missed! I know we might of had a good battle if the course is Panorama! but im sure we will have many more battles!:cheers::cheers:. As far as points go I think ur 'sittin' pretty', with three 2nd place finishes to enter! Excellent consistency!!👍👍👍. I know ur prolly itching 4 a win tho! LOL, being that close I know one will come soon! Cya @ the 'mock' races!:cool::cool:

This is my racing rig, I built it out of tubing. The I ordered the seat from Jegs online and its a DFGT wheel.

Thermite your Crew Chief is doing a hell of job I see your #1 overall in this series, great job. I think you're Crew Chief needs
a really good treat. Lol

Haha thanks. And yes the crew chief is getting plenty of praise for doing a good job. It's not over till it's over though! I'm not sure what everyone else's finishes are, but with it being best of three, I'm just worried there's going to be some big points shakeups after Sunday! Like if someone has a 6th, 7th, 1st, 2nd, he'd currently be behind me in points (because I have three 2nd's), but if he wins Sunday, he would jump ahead :nervous:

Hey guys,
Havent practised yet. What time you guys do in panorama? Will know how close to the walls i need to get :)

EDIT: 2:02,679 was my best. Bit slower during race.
Average of 2:04 I would guess.
Saw gurizzi often with 2:02,xxx, but he might be even faster

Hello, zilva---

Id say, turning around 2:04.000 consistently is a good range for race pace.

-- When you are practicing, make sure to open an online lobby so your times are accurate. If you don't want any random people joining while your practicing, you can set the lobby to 'friends only'.

-- You can view race-day lobby settings on post/report #1. This Sundays weather/time progression settings @ Panorama are as follows....

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mt. Panorama weather settings
  • Weather: 40%
  • Surface water @ start: 0%
  • Weather changeability: 45
  • Time @ start: 10:00
  • Time progression: 25
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah I'd say a 2:04-2:06 average is good. I also predict you're definitely going to need to pay attention to the weather for this one. Surface water has gone up in at least 50% of the mock races we've done, and you do NOT want to be caught out at the other end of the track with 40%+ surface water haha.

Dammit. Is this race on Sunday at 4pm Eastern Standard time? I thought it was earlier....probably going to miss this one if I'm converting the time zones properly.

Hello, ALL! ---

- Mt. Panorama is easily my favorite track in GT6!, so I'm a little excited about Sundays race!. GT3 Club has held many events @ this course since the club was started but this will be the first 1hour event. I have turned MANY laps here & I want to give a few experience tips, opinions & race procedures to ensure everyone has the best race experience as possible!!! 👍👍👍. If you have a question about ANYTHING concerning this race/course, plz ask & I will update this post with your question & answer, thnx! I will keep adding info as it comes to me so plz keep an eye here.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-- Here is a nice 'intro' video for everyone to check out. You can get a good & quick idea of how to approach each section of the course!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mt. Panorama Race Procedure:
  • Pit-entry & Exit procedure:
  • on pit entry, you must commit across line while paint is 'broken-stripe'.
  • on pit entry, you must stay to LEFT on approach.
  • on pit exit, you must stay to LEFT while merging.
  • Lapped car procedure:
  • lapped car must yield/lower pace or pullover when leaders approaching.(safe manner/race etiquette)
  • lapped cars battling for position DO NOT yield to leaders.(race etiquette)
  • lapped cars who exercise poor race etiquette will receive a 1 race suspension.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mt. Panorama experience tips & Q/A-

--- Make sure to practice the pit-entry road! its extremely easy to over drive & lose a good amount of time.
--- Surface water %. Keep an eye on this during the race. You will be able to make decisions based on how wet it is or is not. More importantly you can see witch way its going & how fast. This might help you make an important decision before a pit-stop. (the course can still build up rain puddles even if the surface is 0%)
--- Choosing rain tires; it depends on how much the weather is changing & how fast. When the weather changes quickly its basically luck, but if the surface % is staying around 25% I go IM tires, if staying 50%+ I go W tires.
-- Most of all, on a course like Panorama the cars that keep moving will do the best! This means you want to have a very consistent race. Race management is key! Complete as many laps as possible without damage & you will find yourself in a good position @ the end!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hope my opinions help!, I will post more as they come & plz ask ANY questions you have!

I think one thing I've found out about this course is that you have to be cautiously aggressive. You can't be intimidated by the mountain sections or you'll lose time, but you also can't think you're Superman, because then you'll smash into something. So it's calculated risk management. The same goes for passing people. When the chance is there, take it! But don't put anyone in dangerous positions.

*** Attention European Players ***
So just to confirm, race starts; Sunday @ 6pm London, UK -- 7pm Munich, Germany -- up-date to sign-up sheet on post/report #330, #1.

It's correct. While in the US it's November 2nd, we move the clock one hour back tonight.
For us European players race will start 1 hour earlier.

Question about mods. I know some people boost their engine's horsepower way way up and then restrict it down to the race hp limit. I don't do that, unless everyone else is. So are people just restricting the "stock" hp levels down to 552, or are people boosting their engines up to 700-800hp and then restricting, creating an artificial power curve?

and I'll be using the SLS

You can run it stock or add all mods and use power limiter, its up to you!
