Well, I guess, that since not *everyone* runs 1:36s, sign me up.

Nvm, I checked OP again... Anyways, Independent vs. not...?

Finally, colours "Velocity Red/white (BBS) rims" please. ;)

The "Velocity Red" I'm talking about is the stock red on the Atenza, but it matches my Autox car.

The Golf is not easy to handle ^^ it spins the front wheels sooo easily and after just a few laps the tires are gone.

Will have to spend some time tuning this car..

Jake, theres something you're doing on the 7th July, which means we cant race that.............:P

Tyre wear is off AFAIK, don't worry.

After spending loads of hours on tuning the different aspects of my golf i have accomplished absolutely nothing! :P I couldn't even do as fast lap times as before but i will probably be able to do it if i hit it properly.. but how could anyone get a 1:36 on this track? ^^ 1:39 is still the very best i can do.

Finally getting the Clio there, this isn't really it's best track...

Probably the slowest car in the series but I have managed a 1.37.4 with my new tune.

Have you got tyre and fuel usage off? :boggled:

I'll post my basic FF tune for you if you or anyone would like to use, its good on this track (I use DFGT) tail happy, dont cut the curbs to much or it will spin. I'll leave the transmission up to you.

Can't join right now but thanks for the tune, i'll give it a try.. after i tried without tirewear ^^

Edit: Spending half the night on testing, the set up was good, put me down to 1:38.5 but after reaching that i'm just stuck.. i can get half a tenth here and there but I really doubt that i will ever go under 1:38 in this car.

Edit2: Anyone else in the Golf who've gotten better times? would like to know what i'm doing wrong.

1:38's a good time. :( I'm much slower still, since I haven't had enough time to practice yet, nor have I tuned my car. I am getting 1:39s on good laps.

Not good compared to those in the top.. I might not be counting on getting first or anything but at least getting within a second would be nice.

At least you don't stryggle to get 1:39s. I'm doubtung these BS 1:36s people are mentioning. SOMEONE POST A VIDEO.

I'm Top 1000 for GT Academy at least 6+ times... Yet I'm 3 seconds off pace?? You 1:36 people read the OP about sports softs...?

Probably shouldn't come to a new series and start accusing people for cheating, just saying ;) These guys are trustworthy, i've raced with them many times before.. maybe your car isn't set up in a good way.. GT academy won't help you in that department.

Edit: Just realised that Hasselmoff is using the Golf, was it with that basic tune you gave me that you got a 1:36? that's incredible.. i really have to practise more. :P

I don't know. How much tuning could account for three seconds??

Also, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating... I'm verifying that the tire rule's still in place and effective... It seems like it's not, but even with racing tires I can only get 1:38s. Someone should help me figure this out, SOON please...

What car are you using? with racing tires you should be much faster, have you driven this track much? because it really is a b*tch to get right. Can lose seconds without knowing it.

Edit: Tried the Mazda, that's your car right? Anyway with hasslemoffs basic tune i managed 1:38.5 with that as well.. so probably a bit set up and a bit track knowledge that is lacking...

Three main things 1. Are you driving on fuel/tyre wear off? 2. Have you got a decent tune like hasslemoffs? 3. Are you using all the track? (Inside wheel on the exit kerbs)

I personally got 1:37.2-1:37.5 in all the Fwds but struggled to get 37s in the stupid Clio.

Also I believe the 36s being talked about are high 36s. (36.8-36.9 ish)

I'm done practising for the week now, will probably improve a bit once i use the wheel instead of ds3 on saturday. With the golfs turbo kicking in i need better throttle control and this track really feels like a track that fit driving with wheel. :)
