You guys made us pay for our poor form in the 1st half, no doubt.

At least our players are tenacious, but god it'd be nice to see a full match of top effort and concentration from the USA side sometime this WC.

The USA should have won against Slovenia. The Ref sucked hardcore. But the main blame goes on the US team. For some reason they keep conceding early and have to fight back late.

Just seen Graham "three-card trick" Poll saying that no matter how many times he watches the replay of the disallowed goal, and as much as he wants to side with the referee here, he can't actually see anything at all wrong with that goal, and that he could only see fouls on US players in the buildup to the kick.

I guess we'll have to wait for the referee's report after the game.
As Graham well knows, referees sometimes make high-profile mistakes.

It was in Spain 1982. After Hrubesch scored at the begining of the match the teams stopped trying to attack as the result suited them both. Live broadcast was even stopped here in Portugal when nothing changed in the second half. Terrible stuff but I don't think teams wouldn't get away with it these days...

It will be interesting to see what happens when Uruguay play Mexico.
