But England has 2 draws and 0 losses, whereas each of those teams have lost. So they really are not quite losers correct? Just sayin'.
I'm sure England got beat 1 - 1 by the USA.

Trying to find some bright side to this odd day, at least in the final matches of our group we don't have to worry about one team or another laying down and ruining possible advancement for someone else.

Sure but after it's Slovevie and Slovenie has 4 points, Usa play against Algeria and have 2 points. Slovenia it's not Algeria.
And USA has qualifiaction in they'r hands too.
It will be hard for England if they'r playing like tonight.

I really like this World cup.
The "littles" disturbe the rich and arrogant players it's cool.👍

You know it's really nothing compare World cup 2006 referer mistake against lot of little team at beging world cup, to 1/4 final.
Best exemple is for Australia against Italia. BIG LOL.

This WC edition was the most worst referer law of ever. Especialy agaisnt tiny African team. I think it was Cameroun or Nigeria they have all against them, referer, and badluck in 2 matchs. Big stolen every where.

That is the worst England performance I have ever seen. Can't say much more than that.

Few things:

1) Rooney must be injured or not on form. Just drop him now if that's the case.
2) Don't start the next game with Heskey up front.
3) Don't start Gerard on the left wing.
4) Play Joe Cole, Crouch, Defoe.
5) Change the formation.

Anyone else relieved that Carragher got another yellow? I think he was a real liability tonight. Having said that, Terry also had some very shakey moments, a really really bad performance.

I don't know if I'm more disappointed by the performance or by the fact that Capello didn't even attempt to change the formation or tactics in that game even though it obviously wasn't working. Either way, both of those things are hugely concerning.

So what if we luckily qualify? To advance in the knockout stages you have to WIN, something England do not seem capable of.

I believe that Capello is partly to blame. The players look miserable, in fact the staff look miserable. I want to see a manager who compares to Terry Venables or Bobby Robson in terms of personality and passion. Capello looks and acts miserable, no real conviction and passion when it matters.

Waiting until the 84th minute to being on Crouch when the current strike force has done literally nothing is disgraceful. The best player to start on Wednesday is Joe Cole. He has flair, skill and the ability to go forward and motivate the team. There should have been changes at half time.

I was hoping for England to win the game! Argelia really surprised me and the English for sure ;)! Nice football with a good strategy but a good attack with a poor completion.

Dont know whats wrong with the English... they sure look tired... maybe what the players really want is some vacations ;)!

damn, I could not watch the game but judging by the comments, it was pretty damn bad...

*looks for it*

Imagine the complete opposite of Mexico's last performance.

Why ruin an otherwise good day?
Spare yourself the boredom. Turn off your screen and stare at it for 90 minutes and you'll have had twice the excitement and only half as much life drained from you than those of us who watched the game!

What was the German keeper thinking on that goal
Why didn't he come out? the player waited for the ball set up and round kicked it...:indiff:

At this stage I'm seriously worried about playing Slovenia. Even if we manage to weasel our way through I can't see us proceeding any further.

Unless we see a real tactical change and a real mix of truly motivated players this England side is not going any further.

Lot's of weird results for this tournament.
It seems like the smaller ones are giving some trouble to the big ones.

I think and hope tomorrows Japan vs. the Netherlands will be a pretty interesting match. Mechanical Oranges vs. Quick Samurais sounds good to me. :P

I think Capello will be ask some help to Domenech

Did anyone see Drogba's comment on the USA match?

"IT'S A DISGRACE!"

Oh dear, what a waste of time the England game was - I still don't understand why Heskey is being given 70-75 minutes, and Defoe and Crouch are brought on with minutes each...

Anyway, if Slovenia play as they have been, and England play as they have been, England won't win the last game and they will be on the first plane home - and I don't envy them if that happens :ill:

edit: I should have said, "If England don't beat Slovenia, they'll be on the first plane to Australia"

Also, if England can only manage a draw with Slovenia, then Rob Green's blunder will have effectively put England out of the tournament - I hope for his sake that it doesn't come to that...

Whilst I'm trying to find the positives, the England performance last night certainly asked more questions of 'our' credentials rather than answer them.

The one thing I was most disappointed about was Rooney's outburst at the end of the game. I am always resentful of the attitudes of pro' footballers who, lets face it, are in a wacky world of their own. I am in envy of the supporters who spend their hard earned cash to travel half way around the world to watch an event that, for most, is a once in a life time occurrence. When you make that kind of commitment to the 'beautiful game' you expect to see a 'beautiful game'. These are the same fans who, week-in and week-out, pay these players wages by watching them at club level.

Personally, if I was paid £150,000 a week, I'd want to prove I was worth it, if I pulled on a jersey with the national emblem on it I would want to prove I deserved it, what 'our' team did last night was a disgrace.

I'm surprised that only one fan broke into the dressing room last night, perhaps after the next game a few more will and offer up a fans perspective to the players - physically.

Part of me thinks this team should just pack up right now and part of me obviously want to see them prove everyone wrong. One thing is for sure, they will not be welcomed home next week.

today's predictions:
Holland 1 - 0 Japan
Ghana 1 - 2 Australia
Cameroon 2 - 2 Denmark

This match proofs there are no easy Teams in this W.C.
The "favourites" NEED to show their value on the pitch.:)

Except Australia. And South Africa :D

It's worth noting that the group stages normally see oddness, before normality is restored in the later stages. There's usually an odd team in the semi-finals (1982 - Poland; 1986 - Belgium, 1990 - England :D; 1994 - Bulgaria and Sweden; 1998 - Croatia; 2002 - South Korea and Turkey; 2006 - Portugal; Prior to '82 there was commonly no knockout phase before the semi-final stage, but there were still oddities in the mix, like the Soviet Union, Poland (again) and Chile) and the Final is between two of the usual suspects - only seven countries have been in the Final since 1966 (11 Finals), and only ten in total (18 Finals). And if you remember that three of those countries have only been in 5 Finals between them (England: 1, 1 win; France: 2, 1 win; Netherlands: 2, 0 wins), the Final is usually even less of a surprise...

Yeah I guess You're right(You are most of the times:P:D ) there shouldn't be great surprises in the teams that reach the semi-finals and Final, probably the usual suspects(Argentina,Germany,Brazil,Italy) will go trought...:indiff:
