Incidentally, this is the first match of the Finals so far that a team can be eliminated.

If Cameroon lose to Denmark, they will be 3pt behind both Denmark and Japan, who play each other next (with Netherlands top).

Bye-bye, Cameroon.

How the hell did Rommedahl lose Man of the Match to Daniel Agger?

Incredible comeback by the danes.

Me happy with the win Holland over Japan today!!!....We are going to be very strong in the next rounds mates...

Be aware of the Dutch..... :)

Don't be I write mistakes all the time...not our native language:tup:
Just thought the pun was funny:)

No he is right, because I know the two words and their meaning, it was just a careless mistake.

I write very quickly to the keyboard and sometimes I forget to or confuse some words.

Good luck for Japan against Danemark each that team can have a place for 1/8. Allez le Japon !!!

I m for Portugal not because they'r Ronaldo and his 3000 abdominal performance :ouch: (I really hate this player) but for Deco.
Deco is for me the best player in Portugal team, far...👍

Ronaldo's photo should be next to the term "simulation" in the FIFA dictionary. The guy falls down so much that even when he trips over his own feet he draws the foul . Too bad a man with such immense talent has the foundation of a tumbleweed. Kinda liking that now as a new nickname for him, Cristiano "Tumbleweed" Ronaldo.

I guess You're kind of right there...

but...he draws them because after he can do this:

:sly:

He's like a toddler on ice. :P

A very skilled and talented toddler on ice. :sly:

I can support that metaphor as well 👍. Ha.

Right. But there are better ways to exhibit other worldly talent AND combine it with admirable toughness IMHO. My favorite example, albeit from a completely different sport:

One of our very best for sure;)

Maybe your right, but its common nowadays in Football! And its a very inteligent thing to do, especially next to goal! Its not the best fairplay thing, but... thats just football, and sometimes games are decided that way:sly:!

Ronaldo for free kick is not the best, just normal.
Juninho this is the man for free kick (the best for me), like Platini or roberto carlos. this 3 mens'r free kick skill players.
I really dont know why Brazil dont use more Juninho durring last WC.

Sorry but Ronaldo is a good player, but not a star (my opinion) and he's unpleasant, you see my, imbued itself.

We never used Juninho in the national team because of his "syndrome", he just disappears in the pitch while wearing the almighty yellow shirt, simple as that, he never deserved any chances since he screwed all the chances he had during his career.

Nice win by denmark, Cameroon was very unorganized, they scored in a dumb move of the dansk defense and then allowed them to tie the game, Cameroon could have take the victory, but now they're out. Many lost chances, bye bye lions. Denmark on the otherside wasn't brilliant, but was effective and played really looking forward to win, one of the best games I watched so far in this cup, nice stuff and congrats to both teams. Special kudos to Rommedahl. 👍

Now, tomorrow games, Paraguai and Slovakia, judging from what I've seen of Paraguai so far, they'll win in a close match. Italy and NZ, I would bet in an easy win by Italy, but this cup is so given to surprises that 1-0 seems to be a likely result. Regarding Brazil and Ivory Coast, 1-0 in a close game, we already saw what the Elephants can do, and we can't repeat the same weak game this time. Let's show 'em the power of our yellow shirt. :mischievous:

My hunches for tomorrow:

Paraguay 1 - Slovakia 2
Italy 2 - NZ 1
And Brazil 1 - Ivory Coast 1 :)

For me, its easily the worst part of his game. The fact that it is common in football, is not a defence, it doesn't justify it. It's not a matter of intelligence, only a matter of standards, everyone knows it might be beneficial to fall in the box, only some take it upon themselves to do so and gain an advantage from it. If players decide to stoop that low it's their call, but lets not beat around the bush, its cheating plain and simple, you can try and spin it anyway you like but its still cheating.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a cheat, the fact that he is not the only cheat in the game doesn't make it right. Of course almost everyone at some point in their career will take it upon themselves to 'cheat', but some do it more than others, and some cheat habitually. Cristiano Ronaldo is an excellent player, there is no doubt about it, his antics don't earn him my respect though, there are far more players in the Portugal team deserving of my respect than him.

I can support that metaphor as well 👍. Ha.

[nitpick]Technically it is a simile and not a metaphor.[/nitpick] :P

👎 You've just pretty much summed up what's wrong with Portugal. In football and elsewhere.

I just knew someone was gonna catch me on that :guilty:. Then I thought about editing in the correction, then forgot about it... and now busted .

I would say that is a little bit beyond toughness:sly:

That's probably the only thing writen here about C.R. I can't agree with...

Check this out to see if You catch my drift:

and I could go on but I think thats enought to make my point:sly: ...starting to feel nauseate:yuck:
He is A STAR like other showbizz stars and in Football only Beckham(and now maybe Mourinho) have that kind of global projection-the fact that the few last post were about him, loving or hating him, proofs it.

You've just pretty much summed up what's wrong with Portugal. In football and elsewhere.
Unfortunately You are soooooo right:indiff:

I didnt said it was ok, but its reality nowadays in modern football mostly in Europe! I say if you cant beat those wrong actions... join them ;)! Its bad, its wrong, its stupid, its unhetic, but... its reality:indiff:!

Today New Zealand will get a historic win over Italy with a scrappy early goal.. Italy will have the ball for the rest of the game and will create alot of chance but won't score..

New Zealand 1-0 Italy
Slovakia 2-1 Paraguay (Slovakia come from behind)
Brazil 1-0 Ivory Coast (Questionable goal in a cheeky victory)

I believe it will be a very hard game for New Zealand. Italy's football is very tactical and defensive one. In normal conditions Italy would win for certain, but since the oddity of results, I wouldn't be surprised if they draw or New Zealand wins. Still my guess is for a 1-0 win from Italy.

For obvious reasons, I really hope Brazil wins.

Paraguay is winning right now, though, it's being a poor game from both ends.

Has for the comments above about Cristiano Ronaldo, I really think that if he didn't play, we would have a better chance at winning games. I don't doubt he has some skills, but he never contributed that much for the National Team. I don't think as well that is such a phenomenal player that could make the difference in a team. He is more like a media product than everything else. Oh and Deco? He had his time. He is too out of shape now to bring something to the team.
