FINAL GT6 2016 STORAGETRUNKS GT500 BASE SERIES-Monday Nights 18:30UKFinished

Im totally agree with @RodeRuner1967 . I hate races under rain and i was planing to be out of the race too, but I love Suzuka and yesterday I had some practice. The result was good sensations and fun. The Inter tyres works perfect under 30% water and does not make many difference with RH without water.

If you dont like the car sliding about Javi, just move the toe to
PLUS 0.20 front
PLUS 0.80 rear

The car will almost feel like you are driving in the dry.
This makes the Q easy.

It still works ok in the dry, but you may want to adjust it to get a better dry/wet setting.

I am sure we will get a fair bit of rain at Suzuka.
I will be running those toe settings, or almost those to ensure
that if it gets to 100% wet, i dont make stupid errors and slither off pathetically as i normally would.

That toe setting always wants the car to correct itself if it gets sideways.

Just a note Javi, i really don't like the rain - especially when it gets to over 60%, but i try to go into survival mode once it gets above that, and forget about racing.
What i do love is the excitement of the changeability.
We have had some great races in very changeable weather, dry/wet/dry/wet/dry all in 90 minutes, it makes it so exciting.
If can create some unusual results if you get it right with tyre changes at the right time.
Of course, its random - it could stay dry or wet-but with x15 it normally cycles through a few changes.

So wich one is it, 20% or 30%?

I'd like to know if those setting the very quick times are doing them with a dry setup, wet or just tweaked dry setup.

I'm not one for forcing the car to slide to get more grip at extreme slip angles, so I found more bite at lower angles by running max RH all round and soft springs/ stiff roll bars/ minimum damping. I can see why increasing toe all round works as it seems to generate more grip just by increased tyre scrub which generates more friction in these conditions specifically. The tyres would be shot after a handful of laps in reality however!

Would like to do some running with the fast lapper a in full wet to see how much at fault I am (or not!).

I'll be on tomorrow for quite a while, getting the car set up to work in all conditions and seeing which lines are best in the wet etc.
Anyway, if anyone needs to q tomorrow and there isn't another official, message me and I'll join the lobby :)
