I have to say I'm rather pleased with my qualification this week even tho I qualified in 5th last week im now a lot closer to the front runners somehow!! I have no idea how or where the pace suddenly came from as all week and after many hours I could not for the life of me get below 57!! Ask @richroo lol...
I'm excited for the race tmr especially seeing as the weather could play a vital role in the final end result for tmr so gl guys and enjoy a gd race tmr

Same for me, I was hitting mid 56 in practice, but then in the quali I found like 8 tenths out of nowhere.
I'm very pleased with that, I mean when I saw @DannyB013 's time I thought that 2'nd was the best I could get. And that is what I got:P

Although, after the qualifying I realized I had mixed my cars up again, and I was running with a hybrid setup from the race at grand valley!:dunce: I had increased the rear downforce, other than that it was the same setup I used in the race at GRV. Somehow that worked:lol: Now I'm not sure whether to keep it this way or to alter it for the race...

Grab your self a pen and paper and write it down lol I almost never do this or forget to do this and end up loosing a good tune and have to start all over again or I don't loose the tune find myself changing it over and over again and before I know it I've messed it up quicker than u can say bob's ur uncle lol
 
Couldnt make in time for Q yesterday, hopefully we have a chaotic race so I can make something happen from last row.
 
Just a little teaser - Me, Erazer, Dan13 and Guev ran a 90 min race sim last night with full race settings.

The random nature of it means it wont be the same weather tonight but i thought i would give a heads up.

Pace lap dry
at 25 minutes started to light rain
at 33 minutes track went wet and
from 37 min to 41 minutes 0% to 100% wet track
at 68 to 71 minutes track dried quickly down to 0%
at 80 minutes light rain track stayed dry
at 83 minutes rain stopped track dry
Dry to the end of the race.

I was doing mid-high 53s full fuel and accidentally filled up the tank at the end so didn't do any low fuel running. I know Erazer quicker than that, since his fastest lap kept on updating at the bottom

Yes - I just wanted to be sure as much faster times were set at 10% wet at the N'ring round last season as there was a lot more grip.

I was hoping that the better dry setup I have would give me a chance tonight, but I'm just well, well off in all conditions, so I might as well skip this week otherwise I'll just be a nuisance in the race. I've spent enough time trying all sorts of things this week, but to no avail. Plus I keep going off the road at Turn 1, Degner and Spoon every lap when pushing, which is annoying as the car is capable of taking them no problem. I have no interest in taking them more carefully just to stay on the track.

I dont get your reasoning, its a long race, and it will be wet, very slippery. Everyone will be making misstakes and strategy will be key, not outright speed. :)

We're starting in last row together Mir, we should at least give it a try, you never know what can happen in this conditions.

I'm slow in all conditions when compared to the GTR users, and extra extra slow when compared to the Lexus users this week :). With a hybrid (or combo) setup I'm 2 seconds per lap slower than you at both 30% wet and 100% dry.

I've spent a lot of time trying lots of things (even have a dedicated car for this round!) but combined with not getting a good hybrid setup for all conditions that suits me in particular and the fact I keep going off the track where the huge amounts of time are gained or lost, there isn't much point. In the whole time Suzuka has been in GT and the thousands of laps I've done, I've never been able to take the three most crucial corners at 100% without going off....Laguna Seca was different however.

We're starting in last row together Mir, we should at least give it a try, you never know what can happen in this conditions.

As much as I'd like to if I was doing good practice times, I'm afraid the race will most likely be a disaster.....as you've seen in many of the GTF races where I was nuisance. I even thought I was racing Tony once when in fact I was being lapped :lol:

I've made other arrangements for tonight anyway, but hopefully Apricot Hill and others will be much better as I'm very slowly arming myself with really good setups from other tracks that can be used. The trouble is I'll not be armed with any excuses either if or when it goes wrong :D

Guys I have to apologises to you all. I really should have stepped out last night tiredness got the better of me and inter's all the way didn't work. But my stubbornness push me on to finish the race as I needed the wet practice.

@DrAug I had managed to let everyone before you past by ghosting but when it came to your turn I hit the button twice by mistake, Je desole

@nissman , I tried to slow down and give room for you to come back on track but unfortunately I still hit you, sorry about that.

@Daniel199025 I'm not sure if it was you our not, I think after ghosting to let some others through I un-ghosted and then I got hit by you. You where right to think I would stay ghosted, my apologies for un-ghosting just as you came up to me I didn't even notice you coming.

Right, now my grovelling is over - I can't make next week on night shift that night. So I'm going to be running a full wet practice on inter's at suzuka with the same set up for more experience in the wet in preparation for monza later in the week. Come join me if any of you can. Today I'm going to be giving this weeks wrs TT a go. I'll see you all again next week for more fun at the redbull ring

No need to apologise to me mate it was @DannyB013 i think but unless ur good in wet conditions then then it's hard to stay on track let alone try let people unlap or lap u like ur a lorry limited to 55mph lol
