Final Quick Match Races 2-7-18

It's funny, I often think that you write your posts with a Glaswegian accent - can almost hear it as I read them

I spent 1 day per month up there in the last few years before I retired, so am well acquainted with the accent!

Aw buggeration! Whit gave it away?

Aye, a Weegie.
Wiz I reekin' of Irn Bru?

Or tryin' tae give the gixxers the full malky? :banghead:

Got me bang tae rights Bonester. Oor resident Taggert. 👍👍👍

So ... you want me to post in Swabian some time soon :D ???

Looks like you could have an interesting time with curlygurlxD if she's the one that comes up on the only post listed on Google!

Are talking about the fabulous CurlygurlxD ?

Being not exactly the lucky guy, I'm sure my curlygurlxD is this :

Some of the phrasing gave me a clue! Great city, lovely people - only problem I ever had was trying to make out what they said when talking to each other, the accent was softened somewhat when they spoke to me

:)
I definitely never heard of 'Weegie'. Is it a Scottish dialect ?
Pforzheim is about 60 km from my hometown - if you'd travel around midnight ignoring the speed limits on the Autobahn,
it wouldn't take more than 25 minutes in the Mazda Roadster.
Glaub au, so isch's ! = I think so too, you're right !
:)

Whoops. Hope yer no fae Newcastle...eek.

I live near Cambridge now, was born in Northampton.

@bone_tone ... reply to him. Easier for you to find the right words :sly: !
I'm going back on topic right now.

Going to give Monaco a go again soon, see if I can get a lap without being given a penalty!

Also, couldn't believe the difference between the 'standard' version of the Megane, and the Base version. Bought the Base version yesterday, so I could add a bit of colour, specced it up with the exact same @Kim Nielsen tune I had on my original car.

I tested it offline, and found it was 0.5 seconds faster, ran it online last night and ran a PB lap1second faster than I'd managed with the old car!

I'd assumed that the two cars would be identical, but that's obviously not the case (or perhaps I'm just imagining it?) ;)

^^I think I need better subtitles for the last few replies. I don't speak Swahili.:lol:

The anniversary edition has its own quirks and foibles too. Only two tuning options for the power with engine and exhaust but a racing exhaust takes it to 412hp and 100% limiter. Had an edgy tune on it that I thought I could tame a little with rigidity improvement but it turned it into an uncontrollable monster. No way of getting a fresh one without making a new account. If only you could remove it...

(or perhaps I'm just imagining it?) ;)

That aimed at me? I said I was sorry!

I assume you don't use the AE car anymore ...

Wondered whether you'd spot it!

Races this afternoon were the wrong way round - lots of clean runs and a few wins at Monaco, got bounced off all the walls at Bathurst instead!

I hate to say this but I can't tell any difference. I put the same tune on both cars and tried them off-line for about half an hour, swapping from one to the other. I was gradually improving my times as I went on but in the end there was less than a tenth between them. Both 2:07.2xx.

My best with the standard car was 2:06.950, ran 2:05.868 with the Base model today.

Definite difference for me.

That's weird. I'm sure I would have noticed if one was a whole second quicker. I assume you've checked for chassis deterioration.

Yep, full and restored rigidity on both cars. Just run both offline again, and got down to 2:05.009 on the Base car, best time in the other one was 2:06.118

Also, got my wife to load the cars, which means that with bumpercam I don't know which car I'm driving (thought that would be easier than trying to drive with a blindfold on )

Weird isn't it that you can't replicate it.

I think I rest my Anniversary DLC ny accident once or twice. Upgrading my PS3 to an SSD and reinstalling the games was one time. Even with my save games backed up before on USB stick and restored back onto the PS3. I had to enter the codes from the leaflet in the disc box.

I was always wondering if you bought the 15th anniversary game from the playstation store but already had the stock game & HUGE updates would you have to go through all that pallivaha again of dowmloading? As far as I know it's already there but just needs a code & a small update & ready to rock. Any idea?
