I really want more customization options for the hud. I can’t stand having a driver list and track map on my screen.
Whats weird is when you play the music rally that HUD would be perfect for me no damn red brake indicator.

It annoys there's no option to remove the rear-view mirror hud in the bumper cam. Can't even remove it by moving the camera with the right thumbstick like in GTsport.

I feel disappointed, been playing the game at a friend's house.

-The starters are the most boring cars ever, I like nuggets but c'mon, at least put some petrol powered versions.
-Cars can't be sold or at least we couldn't find the way.
-It takes you by the hand like some Pokémon game, there isn't any freedom like there was in older games.
-Do all races start with the cars in motion already?
-I feel robbed by how widebodies turnt out to be.
-No new circuits.
-Some cars like the '17 Swift shine way too much, guess it will be fixed later.
-Where are the engine swaps!?
-Not every track can be ""rainy""/night time, was that too much to ask for?
-Cars barely get damaged, but I no longer care about that.

This feels like an Apple product, the package is great, the interface is great, the actual product? meh...

I was surprised by the graphics and I like that you have to go unblocking things, although it may be a bummer for those who wanted to play with friends from the get go.

I was only able to evaluate graphics, physics and sound so far. I think the physics is the biggest, and probably best change. Keeping cars on the road is not as straightforward, but very possible and rewarding, even with a DualSense. I have all the Golds in Nationals and a few on Intermediate B so far, thus it's doable with a controller. Got a juicy GTO (one of my favorite JDM).

Graphics are photorealistic with none of the LOD transitions from Sport, a clear improvement. Sounds seem the same, but better (higher quality samples maybe?). I liked the returning F430's sound.

Speaking of DualSense, the support is incredible. Clearly a lot of love went into it, and it's the best implementation of the haptic features on PS5 so far. They made the triggers have the same resistance your car's pedals do. It might hurt my speed, but man, that's just so cool. Manual cars also make the controller "kick" as on a real car. Even the menu selections have some sort of haptic feedback in them.

FINALLY!!!

Been playing for a couple of hours now, National B and A licenses acquired, 7 or 8 cafe menus completed, most "Pavillions" are opened as far as I can tell. Driven approx 110 miles so far, loved every second of it. Just using control pad at the minute and probably gonna stick to it. Cars feel nice and heavy, handing is good, graphics are G O R G E O U S and I expected no less. Sound is awesome (Onkyo/Kef Dolby Digital Home theatre setup), tracks look incredible - returning classics especially.

AI isn't as tragic as I expected. I've lost a few races so far where I just couldn't get past the cars in P1 and 2 for love nor money.

Minor complaint -
The whole "holding my hand" thing is kind of annoying. I feel like Ron Swanson in Home Depot (I know more than you) throughout a lot of it, and at the moment the game still feels a bit linear. I hope the cafe menus stop soon and I can be free to find my own way. That's really my only complaint.

I'm 15 hours in and loving it - haven't even got the wheel out yet its so good on dualsense. That first time some rain rolled in and I went from a dry track to some drops on the windshield to full on wet conditions as INCREDIBLE. Everything about it was utterly convincing.

I think the physics are good - not crazy good but really good. Graphics for the most part are excellent - some track side stuff is a bit pants still but... whatever.

The customisation and tuning is really good and nice to have back.

License tests so far have maybe been too easy to gold but I'm starting S license tomorrow so we will see.

The actual game is a bit weird so far but I can't sat I'm not enjoying it anyway.

The cars sound great to me super happy with that.

Can't wait to get online with my mates.

Only big downsides so far for me was the download took an age, and I have a physical copy. Seemed like the server took a hammering. And Trial Mountain... what have they done to you!? I hope OG Trial Mountain returns.

So am I getting the right impression here?
Tests and missions are good, look reasonably hard so I will struggle with golds. All good
Races are more old school, skill can be overridden by tuning. Not the best, but workable
Sports mode is a tunefest waste of time unless you spend ages learning to tune or use Google. Great for some, but totally pointless if you just want to grab a race.
Overall it just looks OK, worth getting but not worth rushing out to get.

Anyone else can’t find an option for come markets like in GTS? I found those really helpful. Also, do we have seriously have to spend 25k on rain tires for every single car?

Has it got proper fov adjustment?
It has a fov adustment called "offset", which I think i might prefer over the normal "head against the door window" view. One thing that is knocking me out is a new camera "wobble" setting which mimics the movement of a driver's head from gravity and g-forces. It's hilariously addictive.

Graphics wise, I‘ve read other posts describing them as a mixed bag & I agree. As far as I’m concerned, on PS4 Pro they are a reasonably big step back from GT Sport which was just gorgeous. I’ve paid for the PS5 upgrade so I’m hoping for a big improvement when I am able to purchase one. I’m hoping on PS5 it will look at least as good as GT Sport does on the Pro. Alot of people with a PS5 are saying how great the graphics are so I’m thinking the PS4 Pro had to take a hit for other things such as the far superior physics to work. It’s a much bigger game content wise so I guess something had to be sacrificed. It’s still a really good looking game though and I will continue to enjoy it along with the other improvements over GTS such as better physics, dynamic weather and time of day and much more content. My experience with the graphics -

-Lower Resolution
-Poor anti aliasing
-Frame Rate Drops
-Pop in
-The game is darker and less detailed.

I just finished cafe list 39 and it's already over.
There are no races with ib, IA and S licences.
Races are all the same, you start last and you have to catch up. No big championship either(max combined races are 5, not 15 like GT4 for example). No big endurances race either. No races with pp>800.
Serious lack of content.

GT Sport seems more polish and puristic to me.

GT7 feels like a beta for GT Sport...

Especially graphic- and image-quality-wise
Ngl, bro. Your takes are always terrible. Are you on PS4? Based on digital foundry's tech review the game is native 4k with TAA on PS5. If that's not enough to produce a crisp image quality, I don't know what will.

On PS4 pro, where GT Sport looked better in my opinion.
The lighting looks just more natural.

Also FOV is super wide in GT7. Cars are to small in comparison with most of the tracks. Seem like toy cars.

I really hope we get more classic GT tracks in the future. Having Trial Mountain and Deep Forest back is awesome but I'd love to see Midfield, Grand Valley and Special Stage Route 11 come back.....

You can't remove stuff from the screen. I like to race with as little on screen as possible. This will probably be a year 3 update. Once it starts to annoy me I'll stop playing.
Agree 100% I really don't care about the AI made up driver names. Just tell me my placement. Surely the option to remove some HUD can't be too hard. The stupid driver list covers up my rearview mirror which I need..

Wow, loving it (but only had about an hour available so far - got up real early!)
What do you think?
To be honest GT7 seems like a rehash gt sport adding a cafe mode which is just campaign. Same licensed test. Only 3 new tracks? The game looks great, so did gt sport. Cars have always look great, only difference now is the scenary is nicer. It's a great game but I was hoping to see more I can smell a wave of DLC coming .. for $99 ps5 I expect more from base game.

Online lobbys are not working well ....

Played the game for 14h straight. Physics are tricky on rwd. Real challenge to drive fast with my crappy wheel, hard to catch slides, goes more on intuition than ffb feel... But yeh, online is just trash. Hope they fix it. Game feels pretty flawed and half finished. The story mode is just as good as previous titles, a crap AI to chase around. Im not impressed tbh. The list of bugs is soooo long. Car selection and track list is just as dissapointing as on paper prerelease. The physics feel like a twitchy version of gt6.

Considering the amount of bugs it gets 5/10. With some fixes might get to 7-8/10 mostly because nostalgia, but im just convinced a proper sim on pc will do the trick for me in the future. Rbr, iracing, acc and so on. Sad.
