@Otaliema what does this mean? "1 tuner picked tune setting change (optional)"

Do we build one tune and only tires change between tracks? Or are we building two tunes, one for each track?

1 tune for 2 tracks, however, you can change 1 tuning setting. Example, front dampers for each track different or rear dampers different for each track. Or LSD, final drive, etc......if I read it correctly anyway.

@Otaliema Am I correct that twin plate clutch is ok for Spec Class or is it standard clutch only? And I checked out several cars tinoight and have to say you are an evil genious, and that is NOT meant to be an insult. Hard choices coming in manufacturer selection.:drool::crazy:

This is a two track one tune challenge. Meaning you have to provide one tune for the car that will be used on two tracks. You are allowed to make one change to the provided tune for each of the tracks if desired. A setting anyplace in the tune. As an example you want to change the Dampers, you can change one of the two dampers options Compression or Extension, the setting may be changed for the front -OR- rear setting, on the car.
It would be one tune but for the dirt/wet track, you can change one setting on the car to make it better on the "new" surface. The center differential would be another example that may be more helpful.

I believe that only one of the settings can be changed for dampeners, not both. @Otaliema feel free to correct us if we have something wrong though.

That is why I said or.

I was referring to what I have now bolded and underlined in both your post and the OP. What I read from this is a gray area about if I can change both comp and ext dampeners. I was just helping clarify what you said. :sly:

@Motor City Hami @Bowtie-muscle @DaBomm4 sorry for the long delay on answer, was making dinner, coffee crusted pork tenderloin with crispy potatoes yum hehe.

Yes it's one setting option in the tune front or rear of any setting you wish.

Bowtie yes the twin clutch is allowed.

And that was the idea. Make the cars as close as they could be. :mischievous:

The evil face from Hami has me worried/intrigued :scared::lol:

@DolHaus done tuner post updated

 Built five cars already. Really looking forward to building a dirt tune for GT6. I have not driven on dirt yet in GT6.

Here is a link to the FITT Rally competition that we did in GT5. It was game update 2.0 so the physics changed quite a bit after these tunes were built. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/f-i-t-t-rally-and-street-tuner-challenge-by-mch.260406/

This is also my tuning notes from that competition for the rally car. Tuners might be able to pick up a tip or two looking at the things that I tested. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/rally-car-tune-build-process-by-mch.271160/

Sign me up as a tune for the Pro Rally Cross class, please.

At first I was disappointed that the tarmac track was Willow, a track I can't stand for some reason. My Aspergers just goes wild when I'm on it. Major headack. But then it occurred to me I could tune on an alternate track and refine it on Willow. 👍 Problem solved.

@Ronald6 added. It's it the track it's self that bugs you or is the lighting? If it's the lighting try the glare reduction I suggested. It helps a ton makes the track drivable for long periods.

I played on dirt tonight with the Pro Spec Rally Cars. I am within less than one tenth of a second between the two tunes right now on dirt. Curious to see if either of these dirt tunes handle on tarmac? Having fun so far.

Is there a dirt event anywhere in A-Spec? It would be fun to test and earn some coin.

Edit: answering my own question

So, the shootout looks pretty awesome and very well thought out @Otaliema 👍. Time wise I don't know if I will be able to do much for this challenge. If I tune I'll probably be a late entry and go with whatever make I'm assigned. I'm hoping I can at least to do some testing but I don't know which group(s) I can commit to. I'm really interested to see what the dirt/tarmac tunes end up looking like.
I do have a idea about @Motor City Hami and his car make preference too.... could it be related to a particular tune in your garage???:P

can i get in for street racers and spec ?
Done tuners post updated.

want me to put ya down as tentative for a particular group?

I'm always getting voluntold into these things. I kid. :D

Looks good and I am excited to see what happens with the weather being a factor here. I suppose I will get in on the Pro Spec. Hopefully my luck on dirt will hold up.

@Slender_Man good to see you here! Look forward to seeing what you can do with either one of these. I remember your GT5 WRX togue tunes being nigh untouchable in LotS.

Has anyone done any testing in the wet yet? I think we need to have it raining in order to stop the track drying out, after 4 laps at Tsukuba the track felt bone dry and by lap 6 on Silverstone there was definitely less water on the track than when I started. I also think the standing water needs increasing on Tsukuba as there is barely any grip reduction at 40%

 yeah I've continued on from them WRX tunes and continued to evolve it too. I have a few WRX's floating around in my garage all set ready to go, will look forward to seeing which one I have to tune...

Hmm didn't releize the track dried out on us. I'll run 10 laps see what happens with the track.
As for Tsubkua the 40% is just enough to mess with the car not make it slide all over the track.

Are you sure you have weather changeability set to 0? I just tested Tsukuba and I did not have an issue unless I had weather changeability on 1.

Edit: Also, are you testing online or in arcade? Arcade defaults to 0 while online defaults to 1.

@Otaliema what are the required wet weather tyres? I can`t see it listed, only up to sports hards for spec and up to sports mediums for street.
The tires would stay the same, unlike the pro-spec that requires dirt tires for dirt tracks. Also, sports tires are more of an all weather tire, compared to racing slicks, which is why there are racing rain tires.
