@xande1959 Suggested having a Scirocco Base Model in the next tuning challenge (Euro Hot Hatches), thinking of maybe a Megane Trophy Base Model instead......Have Spec class, FF Hot Hatch, and 4wd Hot Hatch just about worked out. Base Model would add a 4th class, any thoughts? I will also take suggestions on tracks, Euro or Original only.

Yes, I think the Scirocco would be lonely without the Megane Base Model. Definitely a good idea to have those two in a BM class.

Also having FF's separate from 4WD in their respective classes would be great too.

As for tracks, I recommend Brands Hatch - Indy or GP - it just screams inclusion in this because BTCC . . .

AS for the Base models, I was thinking of doing just 1, both might be interesting too.

Wavy Navy for the C64 was the most realistic 8bit naval combat sim I've ever played, and I've played at least 2 8bit naval combat sims!

I remember a game with boats going up a river. My dad played it constantly on cassette and I used to watch him.

The Scirocco alone would be fine, but I think the two go together really well - at similar PP ranges they can be quite competitive.

@DolHaus & @Otaliema, you two make me feel really old, when I was studying computer programming in college there were no screens, floppy disks, we ran programs on punch cards, you always prayed you didn't mix up any cards when you put them in the feeder, ... ah those good ole days, ..... really glad there over.
Is this you at work?

Was thinking London Rev for Spec, not settled on others yet although I have ideas, Brands GP seems a good fit for Base Model. One of the Nurb GP courses would also fit don't you think? Sorry, double post:banghead:

Ahh right, now it makes sense.

*Stares longingly at a black and white photo of a horse and cart*

You kids and your crazy acronyms, when I was a lad there were words as far as the eye could see. Back then you could buy a Supra for 2 and sixpence and it took three full days to download an amusing picture of a cat, that was only if you were lucky and the modem didn't run out of coal.

*Sighs*

Better days, better days
Your such an oldie @DolHaus .
Wait, I'm older than you. I only learnt about sending an email a few years ago :banghead:.
That's what you get growing up in the pen & paper generation

On second thought, London Rev might not be a good idea for spec, but Nurb GP/D sounds like a possibility. What about Autumn Ring for FF and Reverse for 4wd.......2 classes 1 track? Still thinking.

I'd vote for Nurburgring GP/D. At least that exists in the real world.

For the BM class I would personally go with a technical track like what MCH did for the miatias with the tc.
For the FF cars and the 4wd classes use a track that plays to the strength of each in different directions, 4wd likes sharper corners and up hills FF likes sweeping corners and downhills. IMO anyways. But I can't think of track like that off hand...I'll look in a bit for a rec. What about the one FR hatch? It's it going to get told no or run with the 4wd's, I think the handling difference from ff to fr gives it an unfair advantage in the ff class.

@DigitalBaka : May I suggest FR Gran Touring class with over 300HP and 1500+kg weight when stock at Big Willow using 550PP limit on SM tire ( lots of stock FR car in this range ), Super FF with 160+HP when stock at Tsukuba using 450PP limit on CS tire and 4WD Japanese Classic Battle Lancer vs Impreza vs Legacy vs Celica 80's-90's theme ( no 2000+ year model ) at Cape Ring South using 500PP limit and SH tire.

I need to stop out thinking this:ouch:, MiTo spec at London(can be personalized for good photos I think!), FF Hatch @500pp SH(still undecided on track tho), 4wd(12 cars plus 2 FR ninjas) 500pp SH and was thinking Eiger. For the Base Model I have been going back and forth between the 2 cars but I think both will go at it around 535pp RH, Was thinking of a Nurb GP course. FF has 20 cars so there is alot of variety and some rules to make interesting. Wanted feedback on tracks to maybe convince me to use something other than where I've been heading. @Otaliema Only 2 FR cars, the rest are told to move on and look for another racing series;)

Looks good, although Brands Hatch is not a great circuit for FF cars, its an FR track really. I've tuned 300bhp cars on there for the BTCC 7 championship and FRs were definitely faster. Bathurst is a surprisingly good track for FFs

Won't be using Brands Hatch, never thought of Bathurst......maybe

I've spent countless laps at Brands Hatch GP and Tsukuba tuning FF cars , both tracks definitely good for FF, most of my 450PP FF cars on comfort soft posted on my garage tested at Brands Hatch GP, and if it corners well there, you can bet the FF will drive quick on most tracks.

Might have a look, my original thought was Madrid but that went out the window with the current challenge.

Oh whoops, I misread your original statement ("FF Hatch @500pp SH(still undecided on track tho"), I thought hatch was reffering to Brands Hatch but it refers to Hatch Backs. My bad!
I ran a Focus ST 13' up Bathurst and it was really fast and a great drive, the inherent stability means you can really blast down the mountain

I just did the Red Bull challenges. The Red Bull X Jr. is THE most fun car that I have used in a Gran Turismo game. Why can't PD program the A-spec and seasonal A-spec events to have AI like this one. The AI stayed pretty well grouped together at the front. They were not super easy to pass, they passed each other a few times and even made mistakes. I did notice that once you passed an AI, his pace would slow a bit. Fun, fun, fun event and a nice event to use to grind for funds.

An AI difficulty dial would be one of the best additions PD could make if you ask me.
There's something wrong when you can pass a car in a straightline when your 200bhp down :odd:

They have it, just not in career mode, go-to arcade you can select AI skill level.

Also a scale of 1-10 in Options > Arcade Mode - this is about how aggressive you want them to be.

I want that slider in career mode.
Uh just realised we are inn the FITT thread, so let's steer this back on track shall we?

In regards to the challenge @Bowtie-muscle is planning. For tune posting, do we use the new resource from gtp or have standard form? That we all must use even in our own garage?
The spreadsheet that @DigitalBaka and I are working on has been stalled due to real life getting in the way on both our ends so the chances of it being ready in time for this challenge are slim to none and slim is halfway to Antarctica.

In regards to the challenge I am currently get set up, Spec class open to all? Seems it would be close competition similar to Spec Miata so why not leave it open to any and all until points system or "Pro Tag" gets sorted. Will give more details soon and get everyones feedback, if good will finalize and post. Would 10 days to tune and 10 to test work? Alot of questions this early in the morning(here anyway) I know, but as a community event, community should help with some of the decisions right? Looking at starting either April 10 or 13.
