Detroit is known both as the Motor City and as Hockey Town. I am sure that the title Hockey Town totally pisses off our neighbors to the North.
Not really,
Stanley Cup Wins
Montreal = 23
Toronto = 13
Detroit = 11
Boston = 6
Edmonton = 5
New York = 4
all cities can call themselves what they want but there is only one that can call itself the city of Champions, ah home sweet home :lol: .

The Montreal Canadians have been a bit dry since 1993. And the Maple Leafs since 1967. So were do we draw the line for the modern era? :)

Since 1992 with 30 teams in the league, the count looks a bit different.

Red Wings 4
Chicago 2
Colorado 2
Los Angeles 2
New Jersey 2
Pittsburgh 2
Anaheim 1
Boston 1
Carolina 1
Dallas 1
Montreal 1
New York 1
Tampa 1

Dry you say :banghead:, we've never went so long without winning a cup, though not as bad as the Rangers and the shameful Leafs :eek:, but things are getting better, another couple of years and we'll be back competing. It's a lot harder now to rack up those cups, I think Anaheim & Chicago in the west and NY in the east are the contenders, but we never know, as for our local team, I think they're still missing a few key players to go through. BTW I checked out that Bud Red Light, $150 + transport, also this thing may only work one year, you need to use the Bud app, and the day they drop the idea your stuck with an expensive bulb. I use to work in electrical supplies and most off those parts are not that expensive to get a make one :cool:. Never would have thought you were a hockey fan 👍.

1940, 1994, MAYBE 2015??? Rangers are not the best sports team to come out of New York, THAT belongs to my beloved Big Blue, the Giants. But right now the Mets and Rangers have New York and North Jersey all a buzz. Let's see how long it lasts this year.

Of course, historically the Yankee's are easily New York's most successful team. ;)

Huge hockey fan! Hockey and racing. This maybe your year. Montreal looks pretty good right now.
There's a good bunch of young guys, just need another goal scorer to go to the end. If the Rangers fall, the Red Wings would be a good choice.

But the Rangers are doing great now for 2 years in a row, and they do have a good chance. Haven't followed baseball since the Expos died so I figure from what you're saying that the Mets are having a good start of year, I remember Tom Seaver but that was like light years ago :lol:. Football is my 4th favorite sport after hockey, car racing, women tennis ;), I like both NFL & CFL :D.

I'm not American but I've been told (especially by people in New England) that they are the most hated team outside New York :P, that could make a good off topic survey while we wait for Hami to start the new challenge.

Yankees, Cowboys, Lakers....
Most loved and most loved to hate. I'm a Mets fan since the late '70s. But, historically, @CSLACR is correct. Yankees are the most popular North American franchise. Sad to say i went to the old stadium more than yo Shea. Football is number one for me, followed by racing as I grew up going to all the North East dirt tracks. Then baseball, played in high school. Really only a casual Ranger fan but playoff hockey is great. Kind of like FITT Shootouts!

Let's Go Red Wings!!!

If there is no event to follow the current being hosted by @Motor City Hami, I have an idea for a FITT event which I would like joint host.

Without giving too much away as it is still in early planning stages, I am planning a FITT M Power Challenge.

It is easy to guess which make of cars will be included and I have found 5 cars which are similar and offer a diverse choice for tuners.

I envisage this event to begin after the current one has concluded and should last for 4 weeks (2 weeks tuning, 2 weeks testing).

If anyone has any thoughts on this, let me know.

FITT Old Vs. New Hatchback Challenge posted. I will post the performance class next week Sunday.
I asked @Motor City Hami last night about the performance class and he said that he's planning on postponing a couple weeks. It sounds like a great idea for a challenge though.
