What tracks are under used in FITT competitions? I am looking for something that we haven't seen in a while that would make this car choice interesting.
Yeah its a struggle, the only other regular (not 5+ mins) tracks that I don't think have been used are Tokyo R246, Indianapolis/Daytona road course

Being a Toyota, I'm thinking a Japanese circuit.
Full versions of Fuji, Motegi or Suzuka. I haven't seen them used before. Is Tsukuba too short?

Tokyo R246 is a contender. I will check that out and see what lap times I manage.

Tsukuba has been used quite recently in FITT. It is also a very short track. I would imagine a 1 min lap at 500PP in this car. As for suzuka, might be a little too long for 500PP cars, I would say that track needs 550PP - 600PP cars to make that one feasible. Fuji and Motegi have been used in FITT events during the past year as well.

Madrid, London (forward), Short track versions.
Madrid... I recall this being used in FITT but I think it was for the BMW Concept challenge only.. This could also be a good track choice.

I am thinking Madrid or Tokya R246.. Preferences?

Daytona Road Has also been used ;)

Maybe one from Cape Ring?
What ran at Daytona? I'm not surprised I don't remember as I hate that place with a passion (screw that 1st corner  :banghead: )

I'd estimate lap times of around 2:10 ish at R246

Hami's Ford GT40 car ran there. :) I remember it because it was in the dark and I kept missing corners and going into the kitty litter.
It's one of the only World Circuits that doesn't have braking markers so you have to create your own & remember them well.
First corner is brutal and stupid, but the rest flows nicely. @Motor City Hami did the Ford GTs at night there.

Edit: treed by @shaunm80
The concrete wall on the outside of turn 1 isn't there in real life. There's no way they'd allow that on safety grounds.
They've also realigned the chicane on the back straight since it was scanned for our pleasure.

Yeah I remember now, I was in the Focus and Mustangs at London and Willow Springs 👍

Indianapolis RC is fun, not sure what the lap times would be, maybe around the 2min mark
I am trying to avoid tracks that have been used recently. Give us tuners a bit of variety in where we tune/test.

Based on the quick conversation we have had, R246 and Madrid seem like the top track choices available for this particular car. What would you guys like to race on? Japanese on home ground or running riot around madrid?

If I had to choose between those two, I vote for home ground.
I think Madrid suits a lower PP myself. All those slow corners would make it fun to give a low PP car a hiding.

Should be under in that car. I can do upper 1:39 in a slow Mustang GT 05, but on SS. Should be mid 1:40s I would think.
I haven't run it in a long time, I remember taking a touring car victory there when I was running a team ages ago. 👍

I love R246, my favourite street circuit, Madrid I can take or leave 👍

I like a new track.. :) 500PP around R246 should be a perfect fit really.

This is the event I propose then.

Toyota FT-86 Concept '09 at 500PP on SH tyres at Tokyo R246.

If everyone is happy for this event, I could put a thread together within a few days notice.. I will leave you all to decide what format you want to go with as I know a few have been put forward already for the next event.

Maybe 550pp? Check how the car deals with the main straight as its quite long, I'd only change it if the car was running out of puff well before the kink though, if its seems to be pulling ok then leave it as it is 👍

Here are my current car specs on a tune I made for a seasonal event.

500PP
330 BHP
880kgs
51:49 weight dist

Power limiter at 99.1%
ET stage 3
sports computer
racing exhaust
iso exhaust mani
cat converter sports
intake tuning
(no turbo or supercharger available)

weight reduction stage 3
window weight reduction
no ballast installed.

These are all the tuning options available.. I see a level playing field with this car :)

No FC transmission?

Of course. I didn't put it down because it doesn't affect the PP. It has everything ticked that makes the car better and tuneable. :)
Oh that's a relief.
It's also another car that wants to rev to the redline no problem so has no penalty for those using AT.
I think that's important in the name of fairness & a level playing field if we're all using the same car.

My lap time with a non-optimsed tune and a very scrappy lap. 1.55 around R246. Transmission/top speed on the straight is not an issue for this car either. With an optimised tune and no errors sub 1.50s laps are easily manageable around this track.

I'll give it a run this afternoon and see where I end up, either way its not an unreasonable lap length

Correct, it has been more than a year from last use.
But R246 sounds like fun 👍
Now if only the track editor allowed us to adjust track side width and type, so we could say make a no shoulder section or have a city track.

We have to consider those unlucky souls @Pete05 who have no internet and no access to track creator/downloading of tracks though, so it would have to be a in game track at all times. It is unfortunate but hey ho..

Thanks Shaun for thinking of me & others in my situation :) 👍
Not only am I not online, I don't have a PC or a tablet :indiff: I could live with how it's launched if it was a simple game update. I just have to visit my brother & bribe him with a few  For it to require a tablet, app & online all together has left me pretty  to be honest.
