I'd rather avoid Deep Forest, after having run a bunch of laps there last night, it's far too easy to touch the rumble strip and void your lap, before the first tunnel.

Obviously, if nobody else cares, I'll tow the part line...

Made an edit above. I could go either way. I think it should be one set or the other.

525 @ Deep Forest and 450 @ Top Gear
or
525 @ SSR5 and 450 @ CSR5

I like the idea of both classes at the same circuit. That's kind of cool and we haven't done that in a FITT challenge yet. On the other hand, Deep Forest is timely because of the Iowa find on the news page. Plus, I love Top Gear with lower PP cars.

Will continue to take opinions today then will just make a decision and post this challenge tonight.

Top Gear is like a desolate airfield, driving many laps on it feels like a chore and boredom inducing :yuck: even Kart Space is more interesting. How about Motegi East Course ?

Another idea I mentioned which didn't gain a lot of traction was having two separate categories of winner. One based solely on lap times and one based solely on DC points. If you separate the two, there's no weighting to worry about.

Yeah, I've run my two shootouts that way :grumpy:... I do prefer it this way, but mixing the two together is okay too (maybe a little more for drivers choice though...85/15 - 80/20?)

I'm OK with the list there, Hami. Lots of stuff I haven't tried. Looks like I have to give up one of my Audis but I'll live. :D Maybe I'll invade Outlaw/Clueless territory and go SUV!.

Welcome to the dark side :D

The former sounds better than the latter, but mainly because I hate SSR5.

Me too ...:yuck:

Couldn't have said it better... well maybe, but the adjectives I would use are not allowed :dopey:

With the Iowa/Deep Forest find, perhaps that's more deserving of it's own shootout? Maybe something to do with 1960's cars since that's when the track was used last.

Don't lie, we all stalk it on a Friday to see who's tune has got Tune of the Week...

We don't have to stalk it. We all know that it will be Praiano. He is the prom king. This assumes that you all have a thing called prom in your country. Prom is a place to lose your virginity <-- comment for Onboy.

This time i've tried to chose a random heavy car with the Honda Odyssey because i liked the way it drive. For my surprise it's still 3 seconds faster than IS300 on TGTT :ouch: and swing like a rally car :scared:. I would like to make lucky choices like this in the real life. :):tup

Good sausage...!!!!

As Onboy's seniors, we should be encouraging him to get a nice, honest woman. Not the village bicycle. :P

As opposed to when she begins working and graduates into the company bicycle..:scared:

How can I join or become I test driver?

There are no joining instructions, as such. Keep an eye on this thread, particularly the front page, which should have a calendar for upcoming events. Once an event has started, you'll see a thread posted in this forum, usually prefixed with "FITT Shootout". Once an event has been posted, simply register your interest as a tuner or tester 👍

Look forward to hopefully seeing you at the imminent Wagon Shootout
