Definately some other people who have noticed slight degredation with SU7. (avisim and offical forum)
I am heavily under powering my system as i've outlined before, no CPU boost and under volting GPU etc.
But it was all dandy up until SU7.
Just played for hour or so now and it is fine, just annoying it was better before i updated.
I'll play around and as i'd upped to ULTRA I can scale back a bit here and there and know it'll still look great.

My goal is CPU under 60c (prefer 55c or less) and GPU under 65c under full load playing MSFS.

So yeah i don't plan on pushing it so I should expect a bit of a kick back from that.
More fiddling.

Well fiddled a bit and seems ok now, knocked back a bit on some ULTRAS.
If i run with no VSYNC i can get about 60-70fps on the bora bora discovery test.
So frames are there, just that capping seemed less smooth at 30fps.
But seem to have sorted that.
Anyway, hopefully all good.
I did notice that there is more road traffic (or it looks better), so knocked that back a tad.

I did not enjoy my brief experience yesterday as well.

Had some settings reset to its original values (which is a pain in a game this complex and with so many options), had some bugs with the HUD, options greyed out...
Also, the flying experience was not smooth at all - stuttering, shimmering, etc.

Hoping it will all be sorted in the next few days.

Yes its affecting some, there is a lot saying it still fine.
For me it is dead simple, night before i had it spot on, after update, felt different in visuals and frame timing...
But like i say it seems about back to normal.
I think i preferred the weather before though but hey ho.
My weather doesn't say 'metar' on it but have seen screen shots with that word, i find that odd.

What i did do was reset a few settings even though they were not changed..
Just hoping it triggered something and it does seem to of cleared up the bad frame time.
Not even tried DX12.

Xbox X is still very jumpy, stutters alot. Many landing challenges it wont let you actually control the plane. Still very unplayable.

The Series X version is running worse than ever after Sim Update 7. I really don’t feel like playing it because of this. I also had my personal settings reset to default for the second time.

I have it back to how it was in SU6 now, I do wonder if after each update there is loads of people heading to the new areas to take a look, people who have not played in a while load up and have a fly.
Maybe the servers take hit?
I don't know, but could explain the performance drop then over few days it settles down again?

Spit balling, I haven't a clue how it all works.
But I am good again.
The fact there are people with killer systems on the forums saying they get like 10fps now, its bizzare.
Then some will be saying its better than ever.
But then so many variables.

Tempted by the RENO planes, seems only real viable deal is the full pack of them at 49.99 uk.
If i use them its a deal, if i don't, then waste of cash.
That is FH5 money.

I bought the Reno pack for £49 too and it’s great fun as it upsets the sim snobs who say the simulator should only be about flying tubeliners on 12 hour flights plus the multiplayer is a blast, having shortish races against fellow simmers is absolutely brilliant, plus the planes are a joy to fly too and not restricted to just the races

Yeah found it funny how some are saying its 'gamey', when the reno air races are real.
Having said that i have no interest in racing, just like having nw planes to play with.
I went for the base pack, 4 planes only.
I have accumulated 115 aircraft already so didn't want another 40.

Something i'd like to see is planes like the Junker not have 4 different slots for the skis and floats etc.
Just have a drop down per plane if it has floats or whatever....

In case anyone else is wondering, I've just found out that the HUD settings are now under the Assistance options.
Options > Assistance Options > User Experience

The weird part - and this was the reason I thought it was a bug - is that the option is also still present under the Camera settings as well. Except it won't work anymore (i.e. the HUD is still visible when the option is set to OFF).

Also, I had another go at the game today and I'm struggling to enjoy it. The background is constantly shimmering (looks like a living being) and suffers from major stuttering every other minute.
What a shame. It was running so nicely previously, on my Series X.

Series X is still a dreadful experience with the stuttering etc. Iam so pleased I didn’t drop £350 on the Turtle beach velocity one. Iam still not understanding why series S owners are not affected, just series X..... Surely MS will get it right but its been 5 months now.

The lighting since the last update is a revelation, my settings are pretty much ultra and it is so smooth it’s wonderful.. pics here don’t do it justice due to the downgrade in quality, currently taking AF1 from a very busy in multiplayer Heathrow to Barcelona 🙌

Well, while flying low-ish over big urban areas is still messy on the Series X, I've found out that at least flying high over open terrain is fine and looks amazing as ever.

Sounded like a good opportunity to try out the Super Hornet.

And those sonic booms...

It’s a fantastic plane to fly, the fact it’s free just sweetens the deal, got a cracking Blue Angels livery for it too

Dumbed down for X-Box they say…graphics are way worse now…clouds look ridiculously fake..I’ll just leave this here and say again that this is THE greatest leap in gaming/simming, call it what you want in all my 40 odd years of gaming..

It is, but thankfully there are people wiling to call out the bugs and flaws with it, as there will be an update shortly to address some of SU7's failings.
It is fantastic and its pretty much all I play these days, but happy to see more fixes and updates.

So I did my now traditional one month attempt to see if it's improved for me...

Nope. Still crashing into invisible buildings 2000m above ground, landing strips with big divots in them, simply cannot download WU6...

See you all in 2022 hahaha

Christ, what on xbox?

Indeed.
But it's not alone in the corner; Forza Horizon 5 is also broken hahaha
