I've had mixed results. I did a low flight over Manhattan and it was definitely better than before. Still not a rock solid frame rate but more bearable to play. The trade off seems to be more crashes to the Xbox home screen, that's happened three or four times this week which is more than usual. These crashes are during general flight and even on the menu, not just when flying over busy areas.Ive gone back to the game, flew low over London and didnt experience any stutters on series x, will try a few more to see if its been fixed. Is it any better for other series x users too ?
Yes, buy a pc because they seem to have a working game..Hey guys, new to this sub-forum.
Love Flight Sim to bits. Playing on Series X pretty heavily assisted.
Ever since the last update on touchdown I lose all rudder control and the plane steers aggressively to the left off the runway.
Any ideas?
Very helpful. Thanks.Yes, buy a pc because they seem to have a working game..
Iam actually serious, the issues just are not getting resolved on xbox, its very frustrating and they have had long time now to get them ironed out. Games still pretty much unplayable iam afraidVery helpful. Thanks.
I´m honestly having a good time - and I had an even better time before the last patch that somehow took away rudder control on touchdown.Iam actually serious, the issues just are not getting resolved on xbox, its very frustrating and they have had long time now to get them ironed out. Check your assist settings again (especially rudder assist). With the last update(s) many users experienced issues with assist settings resetting/changing.Hey guys, new to this sub-forum.

OH GOD. I Finally managed to launch this game! The solution was... weird and came up with this with total luck.Still nobody has solution for game not starting up? Just crashing to desktop before Main Menu without any notification?
I just reinstalled all Windows and it is still the case.

So i find random solution on the internet which involves installing English (United State) speech pack for Microsoft Windows. Without it game won't start it's download after launching it. Yes it is weird but it worked.
Surprisingly, the game has been working OK for me lately.
Earlier today I installed the update and flew around Sydney and it looks and runs great:
That's a shame. Just let me know if there's anything I can do or check, that you think might help.Hmm interesting, mine looks like that it's just the stuttering which is unbearable. I wonder if we have some different settings somewhere, possibly the internet settings.
I'd love to get to the bottom of it as when it runs fine I love the game.
Thanks, and will do if needed. 👍That's a shame. Just let me know if there's anything I can do or check, that you think might help.
Ok then mate taking you up on that offer. That's a shame. Just let me know if there's anything I can do or check, that you think might help.
It's ironic that you bring this up because just yesterday I fired up the game and it was all stuttery and with huge freezes. It even crashed. And it wasn't even on a demanding scenario.Ok then mate taking you up on that offer.
Being isolated at home with Covid in the house has given me some time I normally wouldn't have (every cloud has a silver lining and that) to play around with some settings.
I think I've stumbled on the fix somehow and just if you could let me know what you DATA settings are in game and also your network connection/speed.
Here's what I"ve changed in the DATA settings in game.
- Upped the Rolling Cache limit to 20gb, I think it was 8gb as standard.
- Changed to Bandwidth to 20gb/s
The bandwidth was on 40gb/s which I think is the highest setting, my internet is good for 50gb/s but what I'm thinking is while the kids are also streaming etc my bandwidth would be below the 40gb/s.
Not sure which or both of those setting changes have made the difference but right now the game is as smooth as I've ever seen it and a joy to play.
So ultimately I was wondering if you (or anyone else on Series X) has made any changes in the DATA settings?
I presume the first option on that page is "online functionality"? Have you tried switching that off?
Thanks mate and as per the rest of your post I'll address that tomorrow as just about to go to bedEdit: wishing you and all the family a swift recovery.
I tried that and it made no difference. I was hoping this meant a larger local storage file without the need to use a constant internet connection would make the difference but for me it didn't change the stuttering.I presume the first option on that page is "online functionality"? Have you tried switching that off?
