Definitely not. Sometimes happens at level flight, sometimes banking normally. Seldom climbing or descending, but maybe I just didn't notice.

Just flying along and then boom, the 'you've crashed' screen.

I even thought there might be unrendered mountains, but it's happened a couple times in locations I know there isn't anything there.

My issues on Xbox, right now, are associated with low flights over urban areas. More specifically,

Constant stuttering:

Textures loading / pop-up / shimmering:

It was OK before the last Sim Update, so I'm guessing this might be fixable. And hopefully soon.

Yes, exact same here. Flying low over London is guaranteed stutter then CTD.

Yep same here too, kinda bummed as this was the main reason I bought a series X. Hopefully they can sort it out soon because when it all works it's brilliant.

Really sorry to hear you guys are having so many problems and hope it gets sorted for you soon, it’s running perfectly on PC for me at the momen.

The new F-16 released yesterday is absolutely stunning, flies like a dream and I can see it becoming my new favourite

Just don't forget that regular high altitude flights are still stunning and working fine.
I've just shifted my gameplay more to these kind of flights and I've been having as much fun as ever.

Actually, because of this, I've just unlocked the Flights of Fancy achievement, which is was a nice surprise.

At least with Xbox its pretty much known that there arent many variables, i.e. in PC land someone can blame the persons system or a mod etc (not to say those things don't have a reason for issues).

I'm imagine that the devs will want this fixing for the Christmas period as that is when many old and new players will spike with time to play.

Its not a good look currently if that is how Xbox is behaving.

I’ve just picked up Flight Simulator, and I’ve spent an hour or two just doing training flights. The conclusion I’ve reached is that I still have a LONG way to go. I’ve got my hands full just maintaining a steady speed and altitude, and landing is a very rough process for me…

Just stick with it, it’ll soon become second nature

The 150 is great for learning, I’m so happy msfs decided to do what they did with the training flights. I enjoyed them when I first got it just to get a feel for the flight model after having flown in a 150 a few times. I found it to climb a little bit fast but other than that alright. Pretty accurate once you use the community mod too performance and ground handling wise.

My biggest piece of advice is if you’re on PC especially, and want to explore flying more, get you a trackir set (I’ve tried the cheaper and free options and they’re okay but have teething issues with keeping a forward and locked look without glitches). Definitely will immerse yourself a lot better with practicing the basics. But is definitely not necessary. The 150 is all about managing what little speed you can gain and trading it for altitude. You don’t want to climb based on vertical speed but your airspeed. Hold it around 65-70 knots and you’ll get decent performance without going too far away from where you started.

And if you find it all a bit too bouncy, the 172 is definitely more tame, but the larger motor can get you into a bit more of a sticky situation quicker especially on base and final. Both are fantastic trainers.

So over the holidays I had the opportunity to see the game running on the Series S over several hours in various complex sceneries. It did not stutter once, unlike the highly unstable experience on my Series X.

Surely the game must be fixable on the Series X then. The developers just need to figure out which areas they may be pushing too hard while still retaining an edge over the Series S.

I suppose I'll have to make a trip sometime to Mexico City and several other fun stops. But for now enjoy my Hilton Head red eye trip this morning.

edit: best to view this with a dark background. The white completely underexposes your eyes and you can't make out the taxiway light post :)

For me this is my greatest experience in gaming ever, the whole thing excites me just when i see the splash screen.
I've been gaming since i was 10, 35 years later, best game for me.

When you start realising the amount of places you will most likley never even see, even though you pick a country and see a whole new game...
I've not even flown in China yet!

Its insane.
The scale and ambition is madness.

Ive gone back to the game, flew low over London and didnt experience any stutters on series x, will try a few more to see if its been fixed. Is it any better for other series x users too ?

Has there been an update for the game?
