R1600, if u need a person to be a filler for the championship race to keep randoms from coming in, I am putting my hat in to fill the spot in to keep the room full FYI

Good racing in D1 last night, just unlucky Paul couldn't join us.

The grid has never been messed up in one of my rooms. I've pitted before, and it's worked. I semi-exited to kick a random last night and it worked. I had to quit track to kick 2 randoms at GVS Reverse and it still worked. I don't actually think I've ever experienced it go wrong.

Btw, I'm assuming you don't need the results, fastest laps etc posted RT if you have the replay?

Yeah, I've also pitted before during qualifying and no problems at all on the grid. I dont know what happened yesterday, its still puzzling me, specially my disconnection as I had double checked everything before the race. I didnt even get kicked out of PSN just GT5. Something wasnt right yesterday with D3, but what it was I have no idea.

Then I saw that brosif and RT must have had a mix up, leaving brosif in the sand and RT on the side of the track waiting for him. These next events were kind of a blur but brosif came on to the track, and I clipped him, sending me into RT, which then sent me into the sand. Needless to say I was a bit flustered with a race I had such high hopes for just slipping away.

That was partly my fault for sitting in the middle of the track. After our lag spike that sent Brosif spinning, I was a bit confused about what to do. I was hoping that everyone would have waited for him to get going so that we could resume our battle. Didn't work out the way I had hoped. :ill:

Want me to say I told you so? ;)

Point Standings

Outlaw has a round of 8 dropped instead of the DNQ.
72 points, FTW.

Oops. :P

Edit: Fixed

IDK, he said that was an issue because people would still be on track, and we've certainly got a way to get the grid proper without anyone leaving the track, so that may be the difference, and not the auto-start itself.

Correct, it's nothing with the auto-start itself but it's the fact that using that method means random people are at random places around the track which can cause the game to get confused. Calling everyone back to the pits is the closest to a sure-fire way of avoiding screwed up grids and it also helps reduce the black screen of death while waiting for the race to start. It does require a little bit more involvement from the host, but nothing outrageous. 👍

hmm, i'm only 3 points out of the wildcard, and the last race is at Madrid

Was either that or Monaco. Problem with city courses is that they are all the same pretty much, they don't have much room for passing.

Edit: I did receive everyone's PM's about concerns during the races. I will look over them tonight and make a decision.

Tokyo is a city course, and those races we had there with outlaw were there most fun I've had in this car. :D

Brosif did wait for me, so I still had a chance. I was just so flustered after this, I lost all of my rhythm and wasn't able to keep in brosifs draft.

I don't think you clipped me. I think I jacked you.

After my Miata finished its spin cycle I righted the car and b-lined it across the sleeping policemen. I rejoined the track thinking Turbo was the only car in the same vicinity since he was the only one I saw through the windshield. I don't have "look right" mapped to my wheel and I turned the map off before the race started and forgot to turn it back on.

Thanks for trying to work the bump-draft with me. I hoped I would be able to pull us back up to the front but when I saw you drop out of draft distance I figured your rhythm was kaput.

Sorry again, and to Turbo!

wow i forgot why FMSC is so fun, really enjoyed the race till i spun, when i lead i thought i was being disconnected or caused a lag crash but im relieved that neither happened.

I saw you off in Les Combes and didn't know if you made a mistake or if you were helped in the grass. I checked the replay and it seems your rear brakes got the best of you. It was good to have you there, bromigo! Hopefully you make it to Madrid for the next race.

I appreciate honesty. But a 5 second penalty is nothing for somebody who cut that chicane and other corners several times, allowing him to 'catch' up to the main pack and affect each driver in that group. I'd go as far as to say that if it wasn't for him, Longbow wouldn't have ended up taking me off, because there would have been less drivers going through there. I wish I could just drop it and forget what happened. But I feel like I'm the one who has been getting punished every race. Three races I have been punted off, messing up my race as a result. First race Josh cut the chicane on the last lap, but I let him have that position out of goodwill. I know someone will be just itching to weigh in with a comment like "But you've managed to keep finishing 5th/6th every race, be happy with what you've got or whatever", but why should I when I have had the pace and the ability to take a podium spot several times, especially yesterday. People will say "Oh, at least you've got to race, Wardez has missed a lot of races against his will", but I'd say he is the lucky one, I'd rather not race than endure the same frustration each week. Even worse, I'm put in a position where I can't have a go at anyone for it, because each person has said they couldn't do anything about it, but where does it end? Am I just to accept being punted off every week and let everyone else race? Now, I'm too far off in points to make it to the Top 5 next week, as it is a given the current Top 6 will finish in the top 6. Unless I go ahead with a report on Longbow for the tap that threw me off track and he gets penalised for it, pulling him closer, which would just be unfair if I did finish ahead of him because he has had some bad races himself.

I feel thoroughly ****** over.

I feel thoroughly ****** over.

Sorry you feel that way, but what else do you expect me to do? A 5-second penalty makes him finish behind you, which also gives him a point penalty to boot since he finished lower. I have yet to look at any replays as it's Monday morning and I'm back to my M-F boring life with creditors calling and asking for money. Let me tell you that's a great way to start off the week.

I hate to say it but racing incidents happen, people get penalized if needed, and everyone moves on.

Edit: Regarding Brosif's post below this one, if he in fact cut the bus stop on purpose then I'll put the hammer down. I just urge you to sit put and wait it out until I have a chance to examine replays.

Just looked at some of the stuff Biffy was complaining about from our Div1 room (cutting corners), and yeah, that's low 👎 - didn't look at the contact on the last lap, but around Lap 15-19 was some pretty low driving going on at the Bus Stop from a pretty quick driver. Would expect to see that in an open lobby but not here, we're above that surely.

If it's possible, I'd like to receive no points for today's race Turbo.

It's completely unfair and sly what I did, and to be completely honest, since Biffy went into the sand on the last lap or whatever it was, I've felt real stingy since.

I could sit here for about 30 minutes and write excuses down to why I did that, but I wont, as there's no excuse.

Anyway, I hope that I can receive 0 points today, that nobody has any hard feelings, and that we can just move on from this.

How many times did you cut the bus stop?

Can someone PM me a video? I need to physically see this with my eyes, can't just go off of what people are saying.

I have it on the ps3, i am unable to stream or anything. sorry R1600

Just thought I'd mention that's how DC's work, at least how all of mine have.
I've only DC'd 1-2 times since August or September (knocks on wood) but all it does it go "beep" and bring up "you have been disconnected from the server", makes you press circle and takes you back to the GT Life screen.

To be disconnected from PSN would either require a PSN issue, or your internet doing something really extreme. I've never heard of you DC'ing, so it's certainly a rare occurrence, but 🤬 happens. :banghead:

I'm not sure why you've done either, but we really need to make sure we enable these features so we have maximum visibility for this exact reason.

Anyone start practicing Madrid yet? What is a good lap time?

I remember racing there with a few people a few weeks back I think the pace was around low 1'32. Not 100% on that but :P.

Also about the replays has no one in division 1 got a decent phone to record all these incidents. Thats what I did record with phone upload to laptop put on youtube post link.

Nepalii you got me in trouble .

Apparently saying you should punch Jezza is bad .

Funny how you're using proper grammar now and I can actually read your posts. :D

Only joking Paul :P I was going to link a post where you did pretty well in some race once and you wrote like 6 lines without a full stop because of your excitement .:D

Yes I got a warning.

And yes Aderrrm I can remember that it was after WSGTC Daytona or Monza :P.

But it sure is fun with the right people!
Fun, yes but the draft effects puts me in a disadvantage no one else seems to get so I don't like being in those type of races unless it's on a oval.

I want to say 1:32s but I don't remember. Will be back behind the wheel tonight and find out.

What disadvantage does a drafting track put you at that it doesn't to others?

Yes, Mid-32's were the best Me, you, Nepalli, and Lapierre ran before the season started. (32.6 I think)
I expect we'll go a bit lower now though, we always seem to.
