Nepalii, I just want to be able to race under fair circumstances. The gtplanet OLR rules are great for that. I don't want to practice all week, and get Nepalii'd.

No, I do not "love" "messing with you." I would be so much happier if I didn't have to waste any of my time discussing this. It would be great if you just followed the OLR rules. Then I wouldn't ever have to "mess" with you.

It would also be awesome if I didn't have to read another thread where you are bashing the series organizer. I give you props for pm'ing Jason to apologize. I am hopeful that pm was more successful than ours.

Hah, Mr. Perfect. I wish.

I guess I overreact too easily, oh well. :(. I follow the rules, you know I dont like dirty driving. I just take things too seriously. Next week is Madrid, so that should test me quite well.

Not to sound like a noob, but I had no clue about an old or a new one, if someone could please point me in the right direction.
I was about to ask the same question.
I'll look for the post, but it's really not important. You don't know about the new one because I resisted spilling the beans until now.
Sign me up now, I want to be in on it from the start 👍.

*under table* I have cars, lots of them, could be yours for a early sign up, and I get to hand pick the competitors ;)

I'd actually like to run it separate from FMSC, so people have to choose which one they want to do. (Can't do both)

Why, I would run both if I could.

FMSC - Sunday /*/ HDCS - Saturday

And... So... no deal on the cars?

Guys I'm going over the replays now. Unfortunately the races I did not actually compete in, it won't let me skip forward. So I'm having to watch them lap by lap. 👎

Edit: Most passes in one single lap goes to Wardez for starting 11th and crossing the line in 4th place at the end of the first lap.

After reviewing the replays, the following actions are being taken:

Division 1:
  • 666 Z06 - Disqualification for cutting corners.
  • joshua1994 - Disqualification for cutting corners.
  • Infinital-NG - 5 point penalty for lap 1 incident.

Division 2:
  • None?

Division 3:
  • TheMinion - Relinquishes win for four-off pass on last lap.

Lastly, I'm shocked that people would even think about cutting corners to gain time in my series. Not only that, but while I was in the room! This is never okay, and if the above offenders are caught doing it again, they will booted from the series. Cutting corners is definitely NOT okay with me.

In the D1 race, OwensRacing and I were punted off by InfinitalNG early in the first lap, putting me far behind in last place. Owens disconnected and I thought about doing the same but decided to keep going. Frustrated, I thought "why not, I'm in last place anyway" so I cut corners for my own entertainment, never expecting to catch up. Then I caught InfinitalNG so I decided to race him. I passed him, but he cut the Les Combes chicane on the final lap but I won the position back, cleanly, at Bus Stop. I ended up finishing in the same spot I started.

People are understandably sensitive about cutting corners and I won't do it again. If I hadn't I would at least have a few points for my efforts. Owens Racing would have as well, had he kept on. InfinitalNG should have given our positions back after punting Owens and I. If he had, the outcome would have been much different for both of us.

As Turbo said, this isn't real life. I don't have any hard feelings, its all in good fun. Still beats racing the AI drivers.

End of January.

Was holding out on this, but if you want to drive a stock car then you'll have to drive in the Hard Dog Challenge series. (Bone stock '07 MX-5's on sport hards)

;)

Now that sounds interesting :D

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread for news on this 👍

I'm sorry 666, but i think you need to watch the replay again.

Lap one yeah I did it, and apologized for it after the race.

Good attitude. 👍

Yes it may have been in good fun, but it's not okay and now you know. ;)

Hmmm...

My opinion about the last lap mess that resulted in Wardez and SAM going off was that the car on the inside (TnJF?) shouldn't have been there. However, it's nice that he pulled over and let everyone by. 👍

Yeah, every lap I'd been taking that corner faster than everyone in the group so when I saw sam and wardez get into eachother out on the kerb i figured rather than pile into the back or mash the brake I'd try and go under.
The tires didn't hold, I slid up into them as they were turning down and it was all over. It felt like it was at least 50% my fault so I pulled off then half-heartedly trundled down the track to the finish. I was pretty off-throttle expecting wardez to go around too and was rather surprised to see sam park it at the bus stop.
Good fun for most of that run though. And I'm happy to get anything out of this race after going first-to-worst in blanchemont on lap1. (still have to watch the replay to figure out wtf happened there... probably just me sucking on cold tires like usual).

oh, and my recollection of the grid situation is that someone (turned out to be nep) put up a 38.0 which I was sweating to try and catch up to and ended up on my hottest flyer being +.1 in s1, +.4 at s2, and +.7 at the finish but the game put me on the top of the tree. So I was confused as to who set the 38.0 and why they weren't in front of me but I thought the grid was 'ok' when I was on pole since that's what the tree said. (I would have bounced the race had nep spoke up since I knew that wasn't my 38.0).
I swear the autostart has to have something to do with it. I'd never used it until I saw Wardez do it at nurF and figured that's just how we were going to roll for the season. I generally just watch the total timer in the top corner since it goes to 0 on a track reset I just make a mental note that at xx min Q is over when I box.

See you all at the wild-card race... as I expect to be in the back at Madrid. I'm bloody awful at that track so no christmas miracle is going to get me into 5th. :ouch:

Yeah, the only way around it is to finish the race yourself. :grumpy:
I hadn't thought of it before, but if you do have incidents to review, I can always post up D3 replays for races I finish (I don't want to jinx myself by saying always  )

No idea what happened, just saying, if you knock somebody off track, it's imperative to give the spot back. To me this also includes waiting for the person that went off until their tires get cleaned up too. I've had times where people waited for me, but then when I got back on track they started racing me like I had full grip, which you don't for x amount of time/distance.

Nothing worse then being punted and the guy driving away though.
Just saying.:)

What it looked like to me is that the car got upset when you went wide and got into the green slippery stuff, and that's all she wrote. When the car swerved to the right, you bounced off Nepalii and that shot you back across the track and into the wall.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if I used auto start at Twin Cities and that is why our grid was screwed there? I very rarely use the autostart and have never had an issue until last week at Twin Cities. I started it manually at Spa and we started fine. Hmm...

I want to say yes but I'm not certain.

I used auto start for Div3 start at Twin Cities and there were no grid issues that I am aware of.

It just gets deeper and deeper.

Well, we do have the surefire way of everyone staying on track, and there will be 2 full-blown tests of StigHero's method done in 3D3 on Wednesday, so we should have 1-2 proven methods.

Of course, I do think we should avoid using auto-start in the future. Simply pressing "start race" once the room timer reaches 16 (1 min to get on track) minutes should do nicely imo.

Awesome i moved up one place who was hit with penalties?

Edit shouldnt i have more points for finishing in 6th place then if i finished in 7th?? Regardless of people who was hit penalties?

well, I thought I was out of the wildcard, but they pull me back in. Need 3 points and I could make it or not. Wow .... good times.

yeah, I used it at GVr as well without issue and when Wardez used it at nurF it went off ok... Using it seems to be a crap-shoot though. I've used it twice now and it's failed 50% of the time. Over the whole season we've got a 25% failure rate... which isn't very reassuring.

Thanks, hopefully you saw why I was not happy with a 5-second penalty being given out. Nevertheless, looks like I'm destined for the Wildcard race, I'd have to place 6 points higher than Longbow, and that is quite unlikely to happen, especially considering my luck in past races. Going to be some tougher competition there..

Biffy I would check the standings m8, your 5th I don't think your allowed to drop a DQ their for Joshua is below you. So it actually joshua that needs to finish 10points ahead of you. Unless turbo has not changed the dropped scores your looking pretty safe in 5th to me. 👍

DQ's are not dropped.

That depends on how people have their forum options setup, I have mine setup to show 40 posts per page and this was not the first post on my page, it was in the middle of the page.

Here's a direct link to the post with penalties, hope that's helpful. 👍

You're 10 points ahead of joshua now, who is the first one in the wildcard race. I think you'll be just fine. ;)

Looking forward to that, mike. Looking hopeful for a wildcard myself. More than I expected!
