My replay would be PAL which I guess is a problem. There were more north americans and canadians in the room than europeans last night so you should be able to get hold of a NTSC.

EDIT: changed Inf's lap time.

EDIT2: Pahahaha vvv when I was typing it I put americans and canadians, then decided to put north americans, and didn't delete the canadians. Sorry :nervous:

God I miss that argument ;) any recommendations for a table to mount my wheel on fellas?

An un-used kitchen cabinet unit resting on it's side with a hole cut through it? Damn I've gota get some pics up of mine.

The cheapest solution is a coffee table from Wal-Mart and two five pound weights on top of it. That's what I have. 👍

Most of the bad feelings I had from last night are gone so my ten minute retirement is over.

I'll open up a room later and test my new network settings. If there's enough people, I want to run a 10 Lap race at Nurb F before switching to GVR, just so I can put yesterday's disaster behind me once and for all.

Had a pretty boring race until the end thanks to a lagging car in front of me screwing me up in the early laps, then me screwing myself up later. Thanks to catching a little draft from the cars that were lapping me I was able to catch back up to the couple of cars in front of me, then capitalize on their mistakes (and one of them not realizing I was racing him for position). All in all it was a typical race for me although I hoped I could do better. Looking forward to next week.

Thanks to everyone for the race yesterday. Looked like the other divisions went well which is good. 👍

A 13.2 isn't that good from my perspective. Did a 13.4 in practice, and a 13.5 on my only flying lap during free run before the race. I was 4 tenths up on that 13.4 during the week after the first 2 sectors. So a 12 is definitely possible with full fuel. To say I did a 13.2 with about 75% fuel, isn't that good at all. :ouch:

You're welcome. Any time. :)

Hey I forgot we were racing between divisions. :P Yeah pretty boring race... was just messing around on track drifting a bit sometimes, went in the gravel twice, and went to toilet during my pit stop. :dopey:

Oh, thanks, way to make me and everyone else feel like we suck! :dunce: :) And maybe you didn't get the memo on the inter-division bench racing? hahaha ;) Is it really possible to use the toilet that quick in between stops? i'll have to try that....hehe

Any general advice you care to share specific to Nurb GP/F, this miata, or GT5 as a whole? Would you mind posting a video of your 13.2? I really just want to see a video of that "crappy" 13.2 and compare. I can actually see how a 12 is possible on my line right now, but it would have to be absolute perfection. Also, are you adjusting brake bias at all?

Haha I like it, at my old place I had stacked cardboard boxes with a shelf over top of it. this time I'm living in someone elses house so rummaging thru their shelving units might be a bad idea :P

Same with grabbin a coffe table that's theirs ;) hmm it might be custom setup time :P

Go to homedepot, pickup some thick PVC tubing and use templates that are available out there on the interwebz. It will be well short of decent rig, but much better than coffee table thingy.

Problem with that is its gotta fit in a dorm room half the year :/

Yeah that guy was lagging bad. It's extremely difficult to avoid contact with a car that's skipping all over the place. I managed to get by him once, but I slipped up a bit allowing him to pass me, then when I tried to pass him again, he warped right into my line and sent me flying into the sand, dropping me all the way to last. Not that I would've been able to keep up anyway, but this put a huge gap between the bottom four and the rest of the pack. Fortunately by the time I was close to catching up to him again, it was time for me to pit, then I got ahead of him while he was pitting.

Haha nice jason. So dsg what ur sayin is I should use google already and quit bein lazy ;) I'm gonna drop by home depot on the way home, I should be on tonight to at least purchase the dlc and get some practice in :)

I was a second slower all day too. It was mystifying. CSL wasn't up to his practice pace either. I think something was funky with the room. Seemed to hurt everyone pretty equally though.
It seemed extra slippery at times, particularly heading into that weird off-right hander just before the T1 split, repeatedly slung me outside, whether I tried feathering, letting off, etc, quite a few times I found myself wide there not really sure why. Which of course meant letting off throttle and yanking back to track. :grumpy:
I saw many people going wide there, not sure if everyone was trying to get back on track as hard as I was, but it wouldn't surprise me. It seemed maybe the draft physics were really hurting the following car through that turn.

IDK, maybe I was just taking a slightly different line and didn't realize, really not sure.

Thank you sir. Not a huge deal on the replay, just want it for making video highlights. 👍

Edit: I'm using a slightly modified version of DAVE.

:D

That could work for me too 👍

I'm looking for a wheel and wheel stand. So far, the best option seems to be a DFGT and an Xlerator.

If I could get a cheap stand I could spend more on the wheel and pedals.

Any better ideas (DFGT and an Xlerator or sub 200USD combo)?

I use an old school/computer desk as a wheel stand, works great.👍
Depends on your space requirements, if you have space, something like a desk works good enough, if you need room, the Xelerator should work nicely.

I've got a dfgt that's only a year old if u want it :)

I only saw him once.....when he spun right in front of me coming out of Schumacher, and he didn't seem to be lagging. The on-board view from the replay on his car wasn't jumpy either. His and your connection must not have been getting along.

For real? I maybe interested. Looking to save if I can.

And, yes space is an issue.

Totally, got my g27 months ago and just held onto the dfgt cuz I was livin at home on the weekends :P I'll look and see what they're goin for tonight and I'll pm yah an offer :)

In the laps I got it, the room felt a little sluggish to me. Even as forced and I pulled away, my lap times never went below a 2:15 when I was breaking 2:14s easily during practice.

On a side note, I really should have waited for all the cars to go out before qualifying. The traffic slowed down my pace and I barely missed the pole by a hundredth. Of course, it didn't matter in the end but still...

Turbo:

I'd get the Diamond capture card.

Wheel Stands.

I used this:

http://www.staples.com/Iceberg-26-R...gId=-1&storeId=10001&ddkey=http:StaplesSearch

Wasn't stable to start, but with some weight on the front legs, it proved to be quite stable enough for me. My weights I used a 20lb bag of dog food.

Regretfully my wife hated the noise of the wheel at night while she was sleeping and the bedroom had the best setup for using a wheel. Therefore the DFGT went away. :( I did hate the pedals it came with though, and if I get a wheel again i'll get something better.

welcome back pony boy.

meh... I messed about with some serious ghetto engineering (two stools, a sheet of plexi glass and C-clamps worked for years). Then I said eff-it and got a rennsport stand.

works quite well once you get used to having a bar between yer twigs. and the wife doesn't mind it in the living room since it folds up and looks cool.
