I think they have a mazdaspeed Atenza in the game. I don't know if they have a turbo on it, though. Maybe Brosif could comments?

Yeah i have the speed atenza in game. Same as the speed 6 in the USA. The newer model atenza is different overseas - the american model is about 15% bigger (I.E. heavier)
I like the speed atenza in game, it's pretty fun.

Also... is PSN gonna be up for our race this weekend?

No idea. Their press release today said something about them being in the final testing stages of the new system.

Even if it is up, we should wait another week so we can all get some practice in on Autumn Ring, dontcha think?

Haven't been able to find a Speed Atenza in the UCD as of yet. I have a few other 1st gen Atenzas but have never driven them.

That sucks then since that roughly translates to any car that gets a tuning shop turbo put on it just gets free hp. =/

If they had a MS3 I could probably comment on how similar it feels to real life.

Hey, are you part of TM3? TorontoMazda3.com? Your name is a bit familiar to me.

Nope. I'm part of MSF, M3F, and M247 but I don't post nearly as often as I would like in the Mazda3 world. Mostly because the forums are full of tools though,

Poll added to the thread. The way I see it, we can do one of three things:

1) Cancel the Autumn Ring race and skip straight to Laguna Seca. Run the race as a super enduro for 70 to 80 laps with two required pit stops.

2) Keep as-is but postpone all racing until after Silverstone, racing starting June 12th.

3) Keep everything as it is and hope PSN is back up this week.

If we waited could we reinstate tsukuba?

I am not for #1. A few of us can't possibly devote roughly 140mins of racing in to their schedules when we were already having trouble with the 40 or so minutes of not-so-super endurance racing.

^This. If we do a super enduro, I'll have to take a DNF. :(

I say we just wait until after Silverstone.

I agree with the two posts above and voted for after Silverstone as well.

Didn't really think about the GT cars. If we waited until after Silverstone then we could possibly re-instate Tsukuba and finish the season the way it should have been.

I voted for after silverstone, and would like to add that I'd be more than willing to host unofficial races at the same time for those of us who aren't leaving the country :) They would be on other tracks than those remaining obviously, but just an idea :)

We should definitely do an 80 lap Spec race followed by a 100 lap GT race.

I vote for after Silverstone and to have unofficial races until we restart the series, mainly for selfish reasons.

Edit: And I would like to race the GT cars on Suzuka for $hits and giggles!

I just enjoy getting to race with all of you. I am down for elongating the season. I like the idea of doing some "for fun" races in the meantime. Lets run whatever season races we can before you go, and then finish them up after Silverstone. It will be fun to finish the season with a real race car driver sponsored by a large automotive company.:)

I am just itching for us all to be able to get some online races going again. Stig, I miss the nightly room you use to run during the GT Academy days. Hopefully we can get those going again too.

Oh and just so everyone knows, I won big money ($35 gross, $5 net) betting on the PONIES today at the track! I am thinking about quitting my gig with the Government and taking up pony betting as my main source of income.

Jeez. According to all these new stories coming up on the PSN outage thread we're looking at PSN not being up till the end of May. I understand that could just be that we'll get core functionality back but not the extra stuff like the store and such. That would be awesome, but reading all these different things just gets me frustrated.

I'M ALMOST LVL. 40! That's how bad it's gotten.

Every week this goes on just adds another level of significance. This is one of the bigger stories in gaming history and it's messing with our series!

...so, I ask, in the event that it goes as it seems it will [till June] then what - what I say - shall we do?

Lol, so dramatic. All we can do is wait (and watch F1, yay)

Oh and btw Brosif, I just got that Giulla car in GT5 that you posted pictures of. 'tis cool.

im for waiting until sony gets their sh together. its finally spring we should all be outside for the next few weekends anyway.

I went ahead and postponed the entire series until after I get back from Silverstone. Because of that I may bring Tsukuba back, but we'll have to wait and see.

More like summer here already. :scared: Although I went hiking yesterday in 95+ degree heat, then a breeze comes though today and the high is only supposed to be 82. Now I'm stuck at work. :yuck:
