Tomorrow's practice race will be 22 laps @ Eiger NordWand Short track/ Reverse.

Race starts @ 8pm EDT

6pm EDT - 8pm EDT Live Qualifying Format (Room is open practice when not qualifying):

Btw, if you have a wing or different exhaust or anything not to spec at all, you will not be allowed to qualify or race so make sure you read the first post.
One or two (depending on room size) chosen drivers go out one at a time (to give eachother room). When the qualifying session begins on track, one driver will be chosen to start their out lap first and the second driver will be told to hold on the line for 20 seconds until they can start.

All other visitors in the room will be watching the driver(s) to make sure their laps are clean. The room will be set to a 4 lap race. Only laps 2 and 3 will count as qualifying "flying lap" times.

We're gonna be focusing on racing clean, not fast. OLR rules apply but there are no points or positions to be awarded for the regular season, thanks.

Regard to this post in this thread if you plan on attending.

Not to steal your thunder, but if anyone wants to start before 10 pm:

1472-6118-3830-2747-7523

Sorry but I don't get off work until 6:00 my time, so the earliest I can get a room going is about 45 minutes after that.

well I was in (kinda) and now i cant find it. my nat is type 3 so i cant search either so ill keep refreshing the race list. either way it was fun while it lasted.

Awesome racing with you tonight, Entroper. We couldn't have run closer together or more clean. Each of us only made a couple of small mistakes that scrubed corner speed. Lost count of how many times we passed each other in 5 laps.

Too fun.

Turbo's lap times make me feel not just second rate, but rookie slow. You are fast, fast fast and smooth, smooth, smooth.

Great racing tonight everyone. Sorry about the griefer, but everyone else was running super clean and real close. :D

EDIT:

Exactly! I juuu-uuuust had enough momentum from the turn right after the tunnel, to barely end up making it past you just before the last sweeper (halfway around the course!). I think that's the most places I've ever traded in 5 laps.

I feel like if I could neaten up turn 1, the rest would be OK. But I just don't know how the pros find the apex there lap after lap. I either end up on the road and slow, or sideways in the grass if I try to push any harder.

If I'm not mistaken, Brian's car is Supercharged correct?

Edit: Doesn't matter, just asking.

Brian's silver NC is cosworth supercharged making less than his NA car with the associated cooling issues any fast forced induction would have.

The scremin' banana has a 2.3 MZR over bored to a 2.5 liter. If I recall it was a former Mazda 6 touring race car that blew it's engine. Luckily the repair cost was much less than building an engine of similar caliber.

Is a room still open?

Yes. Just left and one more person in there.

Uhmm, quick question to all the guys who practiced today. What track did you guys like most that isn't on the season's track list and isn't GVE reverse?

I'm kind of glad I'm missing the practice race tonight, we ran Eiger Reverse and I don't like it at all. :P

Well that's what I'm trying to figure out...

I'm still on the fence about Eiger... I'll need to decide soon but I'm trying to get some suggestions.

Nice racing with you all last night. My best on GVER was 1:21.9, so hopefully I'm not too far behind the pace. I need a lot of practice though, because I wasn't consistent at all.

Also, I repainted:

Triumph001 (Triumph001) - '89 - Brilliant Black / Gold

I noticed a couple people last night were using the '91 when we were at Tsukuba. Make sure you have the '89 model, as it's the faster one of the two.

@ wardez, I would like to run suzuka east tonight as the practice race or rome reverse. That would be my 1a 1b.

Eiger nordwand wasnt pleasant in any way in my eyes. Haha

Changing my car... sorry for the extra work.

HandofGod25 (HandofGod25) - '04 - HEMI Orange / Silver

Drive an NB IRL so.. was obligated.

Last nights practice at Grand Valley was fun! had some pretty good finishes! i couldnt for the like of me get a good lap time. STUPID CONTROLLER!

I seriously flipped a coin and Suzuka East it is. See you guys in Japan.

I'm 'bout to take a nap. Honk your horns for me @ 6 EDT

That works for me. Either of the two would have been a great track to setup what should be a competitive race. Ill be out racing Sodi gt5 karts today from 3-5 and be home for qualifying. Ill see you guys in Japan
