Thanks Wardez, I appreciate your response. I'll keep my eyes peeled here to see what's happening, but I'm guessing we're going to have to be quick to sign up in the top 16 for this one! :)

Entry spots for the races will be determined by qualifying times.

On the bright side, I was able to assimilate some of xAmilli0n's lines on Tsukuba and dropped my personal best with the Spec NA from 1.08.48x to 1.07.490! I can now consistently maintain WOT through turns 5 and 6, but I'm still giving away time on turn 8

:nervous: Just as I was getting comfortable with my lines in Tsukuba...now I gotta find another 0.5 seconds lol.

More testing

As you can see the NB is clearly faster, but also much easier to blow a lap -- especially if you drop 2 tires off and/or have cold tires.

Edit: Disregard... offline practice mode is very different from online

Nice, thank for sharing. The average are close, but it seems like the NB does have the slight edge.

And I do realize that. I know myself and a couple of the other fast drivers will be sticking with the '89 model. I'm hoping that some of the guys running towards the back will choose the NB model, so it'll bring the field a bit closer together. As I said before, testing with a single driver says one thing, but actually running a race with the car might tell us something different. Right now we know the car is faster, but that might not be the case during race.

Yeah, makes perfect sense. I currently don't have an NB, don't know if anyone would be willing to share one to see how I do with it.

I just purchased/set up an '89 Eunos Roadster, but after all said and done, including the oil change, I'm only at 385pp, 864kg, 134hp. Is this correct? I could have sworn when I read through this thread yesterday it said the car would be around 139hp before the "break in".

after break-in and I haven't got there yet to confirm (still at 137 with ~200 miles on the NA).

xAmill -- I'm checking the UCD religiously, if I see another NR-A I'll let you know

Eh, I'm afraid the gap is too big at Laguna Seca. It isn't my best track though, so if someone else could test that would be swell.

@sp
It may be faster for you but someone else could get it around just as fast in a the, lighter, NA.

edit: Wow online "real" grip is much slicker than practice mode "real" grip -- it may be close afterall

I think I might stick with the NB throughout if I get to find one in the UCD. the power:weight ratio is similar enough but the courses for this season mostly seem to benefit from the higher hp.

Don't know if spud4ea's room is still open, but I will be on, doing some practicing a little later.

Will open a room if necessary.

I won't be able to join you guys tonight, sorry. But when I get back from Orlando I'll get the thread set up for entries, etc.

Noo, finally got 5 people in there and my connection died. I'm done for a few hours, hope someone else hosts.

As for NA vs NB -- online its very close and should be a really fun series with weight and handling differences

Best of luck 👍

I'll open a room...got a few things to do tonight (dividing myself in 3 series), but I will post here when I do.

Some good testing out there spdu4ea, thanks for hosting while you could. Might get back on later myself, so I'll check the thread for an open room. I think I'll stick with the 'na', she's a fun little car! :)

Since I finally got my PS3 fixed, and never got to finish season 1, I definitely want to join this season

I'd be interested in getting in on this season, but I need actual times for when qualifying is being hosted. I'm pretty busy with running my own thing every other Saturday around 4PM EST, but my Sundays are freeing up in the afternoon. It already looks like it's gonna be tight to qualify for top 16, and while I'm a clean driver, I can't really say I'm fast yet. So, if anything I think it will be a nice learning experience for me with spec tuning.
