Forcednduckshn's CLEAN, FAST, SPEC RACING LOBBY - "SPA TUESDAY 25TH!"

It's funny, I've been hanging on to a 3 month free pass I have to iRacing in anticipation of 2.0, so it sounds like we're on the same page Dapper.

I'm pretty excited to give iRacing a try as I'm getting very annoyed with the tire model and especially draft in GT5. It's just stupid and unrealistic.

Sure thing, Spec! The difference in racers from GT is amazing. People will actually move over during qualifying or if they're being lapped. The physics, graphics, cars, tracks etc, are all negligible in my opinion. Having people who race as if they are in real cars is worth the price of admission, all the other great things are just extra awesomeness.
 
Anyone hosting this lobby tonight? I'd love to get some Spec racing in before my iRacing hiatus. :)

I'm about to do a Miata race now. I did one earlier, started last and worked my way to 6th! White knuckles for 25 laps.

All: Please review the other thread in the Seasonal Events> US GT Academy forum for the list of cars we purcased outside of the recomended garage to use for racing. There is absolutely no tuning adjustments allowed to the car (must leave suspension, transmission, aero etc. all completely on default.) Just buy the car, change the oil and wash it if you want to and run it AS IS. This is all on the honor system. See you tonight!

EDIT: Guys - Please purchase the following cars, do an oil change and car wash if you wish, and do NOTHING else to them. We'll try to do some races with these bad boys for some added fun:

Dolf-Alfa 8C
Stig - Mazda Roadster RS 07
GTP_Egghead - Ferrari 512BB
GTP_timeattack - Honda NSX Type-R/ S2's
SpecMiata-JSW - Nissan 370Z Tuned GT Academy
Forcednduckshn - Honda s2000 06/S2's

I thought it was only available for the competition - which I wasn't in - GO Canada!!!
Can't find it in the game.. I'll poke around the GTP site a bit to see.

Had a trade ready to go, but I got in the car (ruf CTR2) by mistake - instead of just hitting "give...", now it's got 1 "switch". - Blew the trade! :ouch:

Not sure I get the whole 0/0 car thing, but it was his choice...

I was just (rightly - I think) mad at Srrd...
all Qualifier laps all he does is chat, etc., and 1/2 a lap in, I'm in the sand because of an inside rear fender tap. Lame.
And for the record... "pitt manouver" kept coming up ******. :dunce:

Great battles last night as usual gents, great fun;) Lot's of good saved replays...

To all that join, please buy the list of cars on the first post, do an oil change and car wash. This will allow us to have spec battles in the future with cars outside of the recommended garage.

Also please be reminded, there are no brake bias adjustments allowed in the lobby.

Also, please use your best judgement on certain tracks regarding going off course to gain an advantage. Nurburgring GP/F Turn 2 allows for liberal driving off course to drivers right to gain exit speed, turn 4 allows for liberal driving off course to drivers left. If you make a mistake, or are battling and forced to go off line to avoid collision, please do so. However, these lines should not be taken with regularity or under normal conditions. The exit to turn 4 is less of a big deal...then entry to turn 2 is a much bigger deal and I will be a stickler and offer serious warnings if it is abused. Also, when in a battle, use of these lines to gain an advantage when passing someone is also illegal. You'll be warned only once for such an act. It was nominal last night, but just wanted to make people aware. The racing was generally amazing last night (as usual) - so just doing some preventative maintenance for the future 👍

An epic battle to end the night on nurburgring. Nepal, Ghoast, you guys are HILARIOUS!
 
I think we should only be allowed to go two wheels out of the track edge. All wheels will be illegal. Like in real racing.

Haha!! Don't worry, named changed to protect the innocent, my little pwny etc... HAHA! ;) :)

Totally agreed on the two wheels on at all times- that's the GTP OLR rules, the rules of the lobby, it's always how it should be and how I always drive (or aim to drive) and so all should follow this. This is why I always run with penalties on, so that cutting is caught as much as possible. The grey area, where sometimes the penalty system does not enforce, is running wide at corners. So yeah, everyone, always shoot for 2 wheels on (rumble strips are part of track) at all times. Thanks!!! :)👍

Did I mention - buy the cars I mentioned! :) Oil Change, Car wash, that's IT. No tuning or suspension adjustments, no tuning of any kind across the whole car. We're on the honor system here. The recommended garage is fantastic; just trying to mix the cars up a little.

Also for tonight, expect a lot of unique tracks, i.e. the reverse variants of many popular tracks. See you later!

I'm no Bryan Heitkotter, just an average Joe who likes to lose himself nightly in virtual battle. :)

After one night of iRacing it's a totally different experience. I see myself hopping back and forth a lot. If I get time to hop on the rig and see there is a"Forced" lobby open I'll hop in. I do have a date at the Ring this Sunday to finish up a league thing I was in, so I'll need to sharpen up for that, but after Sunday I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread.

If anyone wants that Academy Z shoot me a pm and I'll get you one. Thanks.

Do whatever you want. I'll set up the hp and weight restrictions so that noone gains an advantage. I.e. we'll all be at the exact same weight, and max power. Some guys might make a few hp more in the midrange depending on the "break in" status of the engine but it's really not a big deal. The biggest thing is no modification of the suspension settings, transmission etc. There is literally 2-3 seconds worth of pace found in suspension and transmission doing that would be a big no-no...

I came across him randomly in the online lobby for shuffle racing. He was a great driver and I recognized his name at once. I'm checking this out and looking forward to racing!
