Forcednduckshn's Lounge - Clean Spec Racing

Hi Guys,

At the suggestion of the immaculately concieved Son of Stig, I have created a seperate thread to give details and provide general discussion on the open race lobby that I host (nearly daily) as another option for GT Academy drivers. If you are looking for some tight, clean (no punting in the first corner), FAST spec racing with some great drivers and cool people, you've come to the right place. Bring a laid back fun attitude and your A+ driving game!

All are welcome and I look forward to having you!

Here is a link to my original thread in the online racing section:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=145384

The description inside pretty much says it all:
Just wanted to let you clean, fast racers that like spec racing know that I host lobbies at least 3-4 times a week. My lobby is called "CLEAN SPEC RACING" in all caps. Race are run typically in the 7:30 PM- 1:00 AM Eastern Standard Time range (East Coast United States.) High Quality Races on a good host connection. I run "spec" races, in the sense that I only use the "included" cars in the game so that everyone has a 100% equal playing field (no tuned cars), making it solely a driver's battle. I run everything from a CRZ on comfort hard tires to a NASCAR on Racing Super Softs and everything in between (big fan of the JGTC500 cars), with a new track (everything from Autumn Ring Mini to Nurburgring) every other race with 10 minute qualifying sessions before hand. If you are a CLEAN, FAST racer that wants pure spec races in a constantly changing environment of cars and tracks and great racecraft battles, you won't find a better lobby to do it in. If anyone is being a jerk, they will be booted immediately. Bring a laid back fun attitude and your A+ driving game!

The regulations that I always run in my lobbies are:
Specified Car (or in some cases 2 cars of equal performance)
Specified Tire
Grip Reduction Off Line - Real
Skid Recovery Force - NO
NO DRIVER AIDS/ASM/STEERING - (except for ABS)
FALSE START CHECK
Mechanical Damage - Low
PENALTY - Weak or Strong Depending on Situation, NEVER OFF
BOOST OFF
GRID ORDER - FASTEST FIRST

MY PSN ID is: Forcednduckshn

I am located in Northeast United States.

Thanks,

I'm joining you :)

Great racing last night guys. And special shout out to Blindside for some great battles. Coming back well rested clearly allowed me to get back on the top pace. Snatching a good win at London, and likely snatching a good win at Laguna Seca and Rome if not for some unintentional punts from other players in the first lap, while qualifying 1,2 or 3 all night was good for confidence. Had a great pace battle with Dolf-Lundgren on Madrid, who was on a level of his own there and walked away with the win, and then a great battle at the Nurburgring with Glenn, Round and Blindside, starting 6th and working my way up the field, including a quick loop lap 1 to try and take a shot at Blindside going in to the final straightaway, but Blindside driving very well to break the tractor beam and take no chances in bringing home a great "Green Hell" win. Was a great way to end the night.

BTW - Blindside that was a ridiculous pass you made in the middle sector there, passing us all on the wide open section following the downhill right under the tree. Awesome.

I've adjusted my technique with the still "weirdly operational" DFGT and it's working well. Look forward to running this weekend.

And definitely would like to run with diff cars as people suggested -

The Outlaw
Any tips on where one can obtain the Tuned Z??? :sly:

Sounds good to me 👍 Even though the comfort softs suck on this car IMO (I'd prefer ~S2), it's probably best off if we get as much seat time as possible with these tires.

Hope to see you guys tonight

A friend gifted me the car after making it to the finals....needless to say I haven't had any interest in driving it until now. I have a sub account where I duped the car so theoretically I can send out two a night without any need for people to return it. If I send the cars to folks who know how to dupe we can get them to all the finalists pretty quick.

You guys can send friend requests to my second account which is Spec_Miata . I know...it's not the most creative name. If you want one let me know.

Cheers!

Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me...I don't know to dupe and I'm not a finalist but I'd be willing to help :D

Forced, great to have you back 👍

Don't forget about the ridiculous finish at Monza. That's probably where we traded positions the most...without trading a spec of paint. 👍👍

As for that pass at the ring...I actually had a minor off about a minute earlier trying to do something similar. It was a little lucky. I think it was you and Stig that were side by side, and even though that section is WOT - you had to bleed speed by not taking the ideal lines. I was able to stay smoother and faster by myself in the back, and I took advantage of the tractor beam to gain a bunch of speed. I'm lucky no one so much as flinched or I would have been in the grass/wall nearly instantly.

Good times. I should be on very briefly tonight if I get out on time. I'm not going to make any promises because last night I didn't get out of work until an hour and a half later than expected...

Sure thing man. Shoot my other account a friend request and I'll shoot one your way when I log on. Also if you hosts have the Academy Z in your garage can you make that the "required" car like you've been doing with the PD cars we've been using for the spec races? I've never really hosted so I don't know how the car regulation works.

You flew past us. Forced and I stayed 2 wide all the way through that section - and then i dipped a tire off and had to bleed even more speed. Spectacular pass on one of the narrowest parts of the course (due to speed and crappy tires :D )

Unfortunately no.... but once we discern the proper pp level or weight/power distribution we'll be fine. Also as long as we're in a lounge we don't have to worry about the general public jumpin in a random car.

Yea the racing in these rooms with you guys is just phenomenal, and ive pretty much raced with all of the guys going to orlando and i must say, everyone that i have met and raced with def deserves to be going, and you all have a shot at winning, its great to see everyone getting together and racing. It seems as though everyone gets along great!!!! Which should make for a really fun time for all of you going.

I mean really guys, who woulda thought that everyone in this "competition" would get along, and help each other out? It shows great character, and sportsmanship. I have nothing but respect for you guys.

Now, as for the racing and cars and such. LETS DO IT!!! We could make different days for different events too. (not sure if everyone wants to get this serious or not). But say, spec racing on mon/fri, ferrari stuff on wed, maybee throw in some rally on a thurs, I dont know.... sounds kinda cool to me.

Hell yeah brother, that was awesome. I remember thinking in the race "yup, that's a racer right there - that's how you do it." You gave me room and I did the same for you. Fantastic battle. And the finish...unbelievable!!! Forced going right up the gut!!!! lol!!! :)

I do have to say, I hope that I can (in some fashion) keep pushing you guys to get better for Orlando, while you do the same for me! I'll be happy to know that when many, if not all, of you guys make it through to Silverstone, that perhaps I had a small impact on preparing you guys for the finals...

....And I'll be able to say "Haha!!! I kicked that guys ass in a race before!!!!!" :) :) No but seriously, I know everyone participating is going to be better prepared in Orlando because of it and looking forward to seeing how it all shakes down in Florida. With me not going, at least I can relax and have more sexy-time with my girlfriend as a result (trying to look on the brightside of things)

gman - lol...top 10?!...you are being unserious

Alright everyone, I'm leaving work. I should be online in about 20 minutes. I'll keep the lobby open until about 7:30, and then I'll have to shut down.

I will purchace a 370 stock and do oil change. Can some one gift me a tuned 370 maybe stig can dupe me one .

If I had one I would :( Unfortunately mine got lost in the great data corruption of round 3....
On a happier note G27 coming next week :dopey:

Great racing tonight - we got in a jam packed 2 hours of driving before I had to hop off. Driving the stock 370z around on those comfort softs is going to be great practice for Orlando.

We had a good group going, including TimeAttack, z06fun (aka ***** in the lobby...), Stig, Gravy, Cheef, Chief, Glenn, Dolf, Pierre, and Forced, who joined as I was hopping off...sorry if I missed anyone. I'm disappointed I had to drop off, but I'll try to get on periodically throughout the weekend.

Honestly, I think this group of drivers is really improving and it's making for some very competitive racing. I hope to not see ANY of you in Orlando (virtually, that is - we should drink beers IRL)...everyone is getting too fast.

hahahaaaa

OK, I will start this list off tonight, just quote and fill in name and car. It will be much easier with a list, lets try to keep them premiums as well. Give the cars oil changes, and you might want to buy all the tires you can for them as well.

Dolf-Alfa 8C

damn, i have never raced online, or really even played the game besides the academy, and im not going to have time to play at all before orlando. I kind of want to not even go to orlando so I can spend the time putting my car back together so I can take it to school for spring quarter. Does anyone know if we get out the first day if we can change our flight?
