It absolutely doesn't look like an all-new Fiesta, but with how good the MK7 looked in both iterations, I don't think they needed to do much to improve things. The nips and tucks on the front end make it look less like something entirely different was grafted onto the front, and I'd hope the back received a similar treatment.

I'm interested to see what they do with the interior and how they shake things up with the powertrains. A little more space for the driver would be great, as would making the 1.0T standard. Not that the old 1.6L isn't fun, but, the extra torque would be nice for most folks here in the States. Oh, and maybe a 6th gear finally? Bump that highway MPG up just a little bit more...

These are the four key Fiesta variants at launch; Active (crossover inspired), ST-Line (features sportier styling), Vignale (luxury variant) and Titanium (base model)

Figured the base styling would be toned down some but it does appear that the Kinetic Design has reached maturity here. Also can't imagine the Active looking so good if it'd started life as part of the outgoing generation.

The front seems to be morphing into a Corsa E which is not a good thing IMO.

As for the touchscreen when will manufacturers learn to stop making them look like iPad's crudely bolted to the dashboard!

Is this a whole new car or just a facelift? We run a fleet of Fiestas at work and this, slight details aside, looks almost exactly the same. I'd be hard pushed to tell this apart from the Mk7.

Whole new car. It may not look new, but it is.

I like it, can't wait to see what the ST version looks like. I do like the interior especially, except that awful touchscreen. I hated it in the previous version, but you couldn't buy it (the ST) without it.

I think the styling looks fine, though I'm also not a fan of that creasing around the foglights. I don't know why Ford thought that was a good idea. I also think the touchscreen looks out of place on that dashboard.

Looks alright.

Oh god, there's a Vignale version? Who ordered that?!

If you squint, the Fiat Punto Evo (India-Spec) turns into a red Fiesta Vignale.

At last, a Punto facelift that's not totally dreadful. Seriously, the Punto Evo update with the slabs of unpainted bumper was a howler.

Unfortunately the only Punto sold in the UK is this version, which basically the old Evo minus the unpainted plastic. It's probably the only B-Segment car to outlive the Fiesta! :scared:

Generally pleased by what Ford is doing here. Although I'm a little disappointed that it is only a "re-engineered" version of what we already have underneath, the improvements in the interior and exterior are going to keep the car relevant for quite a long time. I really dig what they've done with the Vingale and the Active, but it is a shame that we may very well not see them here in the US. Still, as far as the Titanium goes it is what the Titanium already is - A pretty damn good car for not a whole lot of money. Curious to know how the cylinder deactivation works on the EcoBoost three pot, though.

Dear Ford Motor Company US: Just bring the 3-door variant of this here, and I'll buy the ST when prices come down.
