What's the weather forecast like for tomorrow? Could be a very interesting sprint if it stays damp. But potentially exciting if dry as well as there has been so little dry running, could be all over the place in terms of pace and order. Don't count Leclerc out from P2 and KMag can be very punchy off the line too.

BTW is it just my streams I'm watching or has the commentary been ahead of the footage marginally for the three events this year? So many times they react to something a little bit before we actually see it.

None of the speech/interview footage seems out of sync so I have to imagine it's not a me issue?
Oh good, I’m not going crazy then. But yeah, it’s a bit off putting. It was much more noticiable in Melbourne, like NICKname said.

Weird session, though. The drivers were constantly blue balling us by causing red flags every time it felt like we were building up to something good.

The weight saving with paint is getting crazy. Williams is almost now more naked CF than painted.

McLaren not far behind.

Maybe they're sponsored by Anish Kapoor.

Halfway through I didn't think Max could take it back. Looks like the Ferrari is quite a bit faster on the straight, DRS didn't look as overpowered during those moves

Enjoyable Sprint. Hopefully that hasn't spoiled tomorrow's action, looking forward to the P1 fight.

I bet Charles gets T1 again tomorrow. I think it was mainly better tire management from Max today. When pitstops are involved, it may be easier for Charles to defend

Agreed. Also with the top 10 now being able to pick their starting tyre, I wonder if Charles may consider starting on the medium given the graining he got quite early on the soft.

They should starting to weaken it now. We wouldn't have seen one overtake in Melbourne without DRS.
Looked very OP today on Max but the RB has a very high topspeed compared to the Ferrari even without DRS. The hybrid power is just superb from Ferrari beeing much quicker on the first 1/3 of the straight(s) but still lacking topspeed from the ICU.

I agree that so far this year the drs looks way too strong . While decreasing its effect seems like a better idea than just removing it , is that even legal once the season has started given that the teams have put so much time energy and money into it ?

Pretty good sprint. I thought Charles had it locked down until his graining. Max did well to capitalize on it.

McLaren third row gooooooooo!

I looked at the onboards for the overtake of Max on Charles.
I noticed two things:
1. The purpoising of the Ferrari is insane. Deep respect for Charles to have the ability to see where he is going. It also lowers the top end speed for the Ferrari. Which means that at the final stage of a straight, he could be a sitting duck. Especially with DRS.
2. The RedBull showed more top end speed at all tracks. It seems as the design team took the track layouts into account and aimed for that as design principle.
Last season, RB struggled with top end speed compared to Mercedes.
With the trend to have more long straights and faster corners (Miami, Abu Dhabi, Australia) this could be a clever choice.

I would rather see qualy and the sprint race back to back on Saturday, keep practice for Friday when most people are at work or school.
