Caffeine Karen has already moaned that Ferrari has been working on its car for longer, because they were focussing on last year's.

The camera angles being employed today are not great. Super wide shots that are not doing a good job of showing how fast these cars are going. They looked like they were crawling on the first lap.

Thanks to 2021, I can't be arsed watching or listening to any of this rubbish - it's not worth getting invested at all because the sport habitually doesn't follow its own rules and changes stuff on a whim (and yeah, 2021 was just the most recent and most obvious example of it) - but I caught up with qualifying because I was bored of "mechanically replaying" GT7 events and it popped up on my YT dashboard...


... but these cars look awful in corners. They look so heavy, cumbersome, and sluggish.

I've seen this before. He should run license test S10. You have to brake in a straight line and be careful with the throttle application.

So lucky. I wish I had that option here in Australia. Still I'm not likely to watch the whole season, I'm finding these cars slow and sluggish. Maybe I lost all my interest after last year's farce but I'm really struggling to get excited. Even the engine notes sound off.

I really hope Haas can keep this up. And Schumacher is a bit of a disappointment with the difference between him and Magnussen. Mclaren needs to think about a new livery as it goes as it looks.

Schumacher had contact in the first lap and was sent around. It would've been interesting to see how he got on without that.
