Mercedes is the last garage. He'd have been held in the pitbox because literally every other car would have been released and back up to pitlane speed limit before him, and releasing him into their path would have been an unsafe release.He wouldn't have been last though, he'd have passed many of them whilst they were stopped in their pit boxes and it was the reverse, other cars holding for HAM. Well, unless you're Alfa.
There's a mild chance he would have been able to get out into the slow lane and gone two-wide through pit exit, though that would have been... a risk. Either way, Mercedes has yet again screwed up its strategies.
The one I missed is Giovinazzi. He started the first start by diving in for slicks. Did he then dive in for inters or switch to inters under the red flag - and if he switched for inters under the red flag, how come no-one switched to slicks upon seeing the rain stop and the track start to dry under the red flag and they all had to pit to do it?
