I think down the straight it applies the same "it's my corner" mentality, no? It's the person behinds responsibility to clear it, no?

Max didn't really give a lot of space to let him past, but did drive slowly. Lewis didn't even try to get past.

Very weird incident

They really need to stop airing these communications, it’s not a good look for the series.

This is what you get when your "straights" are all aching curves. It does make it harder to gauge where to do things like that, especially on a new track.

On the one hand: Hamilton slowed down as well, not passing when he could have. Thought it was a VSC or something?
On the other hand: Stupid place to try and give a place back, wonky straight or not. And still not having done so.

Omnishambles. This track is awful and the racing is terrible.

This year I've been following the race here and watching the youtube highlights later on. I'm getting the vibes that a lot of people are fed up with the "it's my line, my corner, so I will go where I want to and it's the other guys fault that he can't pass me" style of driving.

At the moment, I'm happy it's not been what I was worried it was going to be.

Nonetheless, this is what you get when you mix a **** track, **** and ineffectual officials, and a driver continually excused from dangerous driving by his team.

And Verstappen just did what the FIA invented a rule for in 2008 to punish Hamilton.
