I like the Abu Dhabi track. I first played it on F1 2011 and I could just imagine how great it would be from a drifters point of view, the amount of extra roads going off in all directions :P

Don't forget Gran Turismo 5 sponsored the 24 Hours of Dubai last week. Most of the cars that raced last week, had a giant GT5 & PS3 sign on their car. So I think Dubai will be the first/next Track in a DLC-pack. Maybe along with original GT-tracks, but I bet Dubai is the first real-world track we can expect in the near future !

And don't forget Fuji Speedway ! The only F1 track from Tilke would be Malaysia, or Austin Texas, the USGP track for this year !

I'd like to see Circuit de Catalunya and Magny Cours added ( yes I know it's no longer on the calendar). Out of the current tracks Singapore and Silverstone are the only ones Id want.

Silverstone, Canada and Hockenheim would be great additions to GT5, but other tracks like Shanghai, Valencia, Korea or Bahrain are rubbish.

I think one of Kaz's long term goal is to get the F1 license IIRC. That is why I think quite a lot of the real world tracks added recently have been F1 tracks (The tracks with more history seem to be added first so might see Silverstone soon). I think maybe something like GT8, we will get to the stage of thinking about full F1. Hopefully by then, it will be on PS4 and we will have awesome physics .

The problem is, most of them are made by the same designer (Hermann Tilke, the only ones that are not designed by him is the Australian, Canadian, British and the Brazilian GPs) and most of his said tracks are excruciatingly boring, mundane and with little to no flow in their design.
Besides, there is also the potential copyright and licensing issues with the track owners, and the FIA that pretty much regulate how tracks are used with licenses.

That can be solved by adding the old versions of classic tracks before Tilke modified them, which are absurdly dangerous therefore way funnier to play and watch. Good examples are monaco, spa and hockenheim.

Also those 4 tracks (melbourne, montreal, silverstone and interlagos) are among the very best current ones.

As for the tracks made by him, some of them are great videogame material, such as singapore, yas marina and new jersey/new york (which the OP forgot to add).

and about licensing issues, Stephen220378 is right, and if there are any problems getting the licenses most probably there's still some way around that for some of the classic tracks, for example former F1 circuits such as Imola and san marino (hopefully with the old layout as well).

edit: if I could choose just one current track, I'd pick either interlagos (simply perfect), silverstone (layout and gt academy) or yas marina (eye candy).
As for former circuits Imola, and as for old versions Monaco exactly like it is made in rfactor2.

He had nothing to do with silverstone it was a completely different company called Poplous or something.

Populous won the contract as well as had a hand in the redesign but the new arena layout was first conceived by Tilke at the turn of the millennium.

Details have changed periodically ever since then so its not entirely clear who was responsible for what. The reprofiled abbey to the right was definitely Tilke's work as well as the idea to cut out bridge by joining up with the National Circuit.

My guess is Populous changed the design for the straight after abbey (edit: maybe abbey itself as Tilkes original design was a slow right hander as the pit complex was originally planned before abbey) but that slow section at arena has Tilke's paw prints all over it

Since Monza and Spa are already in GT5 (and I must say PD has modeled them brilliantly), I'd love to see the 90's version of these tracks i.e. Monza with the double chicanes after the start straight and Spa with the classic bus stop chicane!

I would love to see some classic F1 tracks, such as Silverstone, Interlagos, Estoril, Paul Ricard, Kayalami...

Also, after watching some random races at YouTube, it would be nice too to have that Aussie track where they race V8's (forgot name). Seemed to be a lot of fun.

As for the Tilke circuits, no thanks.

More F1 tracks would be fantastic in GT5. Its unlikely we will get them all but any would be a bonus. Spa is fantastic in the F1 cars and FGT's :D

Tracks are great regardless of what series is run on them, but considering GT is more about road cars than specialized F1 type cars it would make sense to have more of the former yes? Like the entire schedule of courses from the LeMans Series and the Petit LeMans as well, and some more Rally courses as well. I would be ecstatic if GT had the entire Paris to Dakar run. Complete with having to navigate the course via eyesight and using a map and just watching to competition be your guinea pig, lol. But to limit the courses to just F1 is a bit limiting in and of itself.

That said Kaz needs to streamline GT track selecting, why on earth is each variation listed separately, that just makes for a bigger mess. I know I'm not the only one wondering why they have to see 4 versions of La Sarthe, 5 of the Nurb, and multiples of fantasy courses because they go in both directions. Make it a bit simpler please, choose the course, then layout and then time and weather if it supports it.

Right because if it was a F1 game he would have to use them but since it isnt he can use better ones like the Ring...

But GT isnt a F1 Game... isnt a DTM game... isnt a Le Mans game...

WAIT A MOMENT.....

HMMMM.....

THERE IS NO EXPLANATION FOR THIS KIND OF SORCERY.

But GT isnt a F1 Game... isnt a DTM game... isnt a Le Mans game...

And that's exactly the reason why they shouldn't focus on F1 tracks with just 2 F1 cars (and possibly the FGT) in a huge roster consisting of a wide variety of cars which would mostly be much more fun to drive on a completely different type of track than most modern, smooth and frankly dull F1 tracks.
With Monaco, Spa, Suzuka and Monza we already got the most interesting ones and which all are unique and suited for other types of cars as well.
I mean, if your argument is that it needs to replicate one series in its entirety, why not have all NASCAR tracks, all the WRC stages, etc., etc.?
And we won't get any more F1 cars outside another Ferrari one due to licensing anyway.

Oh man, wouldn't that be something? LeMans Series, Petit LeMans, British Touring Cars, Aussie Touring Cars, German Touring Cars, JGTC, and more, with all their courses in glorious detail... what a game that would be!

Much rather have

-BRNO
-Dubai Autodrome (much better than Abu dhabi IMO)
-OSCHERSLEBEN
-ZOLDER
-PORTIMÂO
-Autopolis
-Bathurst
-HOCKENHEIM
-ROAD AMERICA
-Infinion
-San marino
-Targa Florio

CIRCUITO DA BOAVISTA too!!!

The F1 tracks is not only for F1 you know... there is other type of championship and races that use those tracks as well.

I cant possibly understanding why you dont want them, there isnt a choice here, I'm not asking you to choose between track X or track Y.

I can say, at least for me, more tracks of the most famous world championship of the planet, much better the game gets.

I certainly wouldn't say no to Sepang (a track for SuperGT as well), Hungaroring, Interlagos, Imola or Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, but overall, most F1 tracks are too big for the many hot-hatches and sportscars in GT and so they don't top my wishlists. I'd just as much like to see national circuits like Brands Hatch, Sugo and Zandvoort, or other courses not used by F1 (like Guia, Road America, Bathurst and Mugello).

F1 circuits are fine, but I wouldn't want PD to focus on only large F1 tracks.
