An interesting point. Moreover, the Indy 500 itself was part of the Formula One calendar - there wasn't a US Grand Prix until 1961. Good call though.
It could also be argued about Le Mans, but I am not sure which circuit was ran. I'm fairly sure though that it is not in GT4 or GT5.
Those two belong to the most boring, most blant and most soulless race tracks in the world.
The day Magny Cours was announced to be not part of the F1 season anymore was one of the highlights in the F1 history.
Now only Barcelona, Hungaroring and Valencia missing then F1 races will be full of joy again!
Atleast they already get rid of Imola (How can anybody like this stupid track? its IMPOSSIBLE to overtake someone! check up Alonso vs Schumi Imola 2005 and 2006...) and Magny cours...
It's not a great circuit for cars, better for motorcycles, but it would be a welcome addition since a third of the circuit is already modeled completely. Plus La Sarthe is far too large for French hatchbacks and most other European sports cars, so the course could be useful in-place of the full course for smaller races. The Formula One race at Le Mans was on the Bugatti Circuit which uses a small part of the full circuit and then splits off but it would be a nice addition, I think some of it is already modelled at a low quality.
You understood my poor wording (I blame how late it was). I think French tracks are poorly misrepresented by Circuit de la Sarthe; it's just too big. I'd like to see Dijon-Prenois, maybe Paul Ricard or Magny-Cours or Nogaro, even Pau or Opera Paris, to complement the big Le Mans track (anything but Albi really). Something that would be good to drive/race in all the great French hot hatches.I know what you mean about it not being great for cars as it is mostly used for motorcycle racing but with some of it already modelled it looks as if it would be much easier to add this then to start a track from scratch. It would be much better for the slower cars rather than 2 minutes of boredom on the long straights.
