Do you really need the ghost? I turn it off to get a fully clear vision in front of the car. Turn the track map on and glance over at it on the straights. The red arrow is your current lap and the yellow arrow is your ghost lap.
Yes I know about the red arrow is your current lap and the yellow arrow is your ghost lap, but with me I found following the ghost car without the blue lines all over the place is a lot better and that why I am doing this. Well at lease I can follow the ghost car and concentrate on the line of my ghost than having blue lines especially on the corners.

About an hour ago I was neck and neck with @Sidebrowns' ghost in the FGT TT until I choked at the final chicane and lost 7 tenths. I got so nervous trying not to spin that my hands started shaking. That had never happened to me before, it's totally crazy.

Hahahah, yep, that's the adrenaline speaking  just try to control yourself when it kicks in, nothing easy to do but I think for me it's a lot about controlling my mind AND my body under pressure, I mean I have done such mistakes on final corners that you wouldn't even believe

Adrenaline is like double edged blade, in one hand it makes you really really sharp, strong and just basically makes your senses better, on the other hand it's quite a job to handle yourself while it speeds up everything in your body and mind (I'm not a doctor but I think it goes something like this) And under an adrenaline rush the last thing you should do is to think too much, I mean the best result will probably come if you can just follow your instinct, it's just unbelievably difficult to do most of the time, but I think only way resolving that is to practice as much as you can and things will get easier and easier...

Hell your previous best time was neck and neck with me up until the chicane too lol. I choke most of the time going into it but somehow manged to keep it together on my fastest lap.

I dunno, man... sounds like a lot of work. :embarrassed:

This is exactly how I do it too. There is no need to delete all of your friends, that is just silly.

Am I the only one that likes to run with the ghost car, and lines preeminently on?
Lol you have no idea how many T1s I've missed from crossing the start line, seeing the ghosts kick in and me go reaching for the button to nix them before I hit turn one. Aaaand I'm in the sand trap.

There's no way that chowder head wouldn't get banned. I imagine they're sifting through his GT6 history. I'm sure a lot of data for what we do is stored.

After more than 200 miles on the Silverstone track, I've been able to run a respectable time of 1:33.095:)

I began with my own tune, but switched over to @Betty blue 's tune, and was able to find more time (thanks!!)

I'm continually amazed by the faster laps put in by our resident aliens.

I wish I could apply more throttle like they do, but whenever I try, I find myself up against the armco after a spin.:ouch:

Well, at least all of my off-track excursions has mowed the grass at Silverstone, which will have given the track-side maintenance crew a well earned day-off!

See you on the tracks!

@hall90 there is no reason to delete everyone from your friends list. Just tap the UP button on your D-Pad as soon as your lap begins and the lines will not be displayed. Even if you choose to hit Start Button > Restart it will remember that you've turned off the lines of your PSN Friends. This is what I do because I find the lines extremely distracting, especially considering 95% of my friend's list is faster than me! Haha

Mr P1 hasn't yet brought out his optimal setup... he is giving you all a chance, take it folks!

I said at the beginning when people were doing 1m 31s, and I'll say it again, 1m 27s is the target!

A simple SINGLE change to a couple of the setups I've seen will take 1m30s to 1m28s ;)

At the end of the day, @IMMORTALPILOT and the like are the best drivers in the world, why not just share the set up?

If I was THAT good, I'd love to post my set up and still be at the top and know it was because of my driving, not my tune etc.

I'd LOVE to drive the car with @IMMORTALPILOT set up just to see how far off the pace I really am

And only RTRacing can beat them? We certainly can (as we showed in this car around Tokyo) but so can you if you had their setup... but will they share?
No, I wouldn't beat him. That's why I lost every race against him in the stock FGT series.

Thanks to @dddsprayshop for the info of the cheater whose time has been deleted, it was the question I just was going to make 👍👍:P

Just wanted to know: If you remember, there was a guy on that famous Andretti´s Car Seasonal Event who went #1 using a Ferrari F430... Was his time removed as well?

Thanks

The issue is that he wants to still be able to see his own ghost line while removing everyone else's. Luckly there's a workaround, as posted earlier.

I am using a G27 and with my disability I have found following the ghost car helps me improve a lot, my times are coming down because of doing this.

Oops! Please forgive me @hall90 I missed the part where you said you wanted to keep YOUR ghost active and eliminate your friends ghost lines. I thought you wanted them ALL turned off. Sorry about that...
