Instead of name calling like my little six year old does try actually being a adult and argue the point 👍 I thought the 1st one was FM3 for a second I know they have a new lighting system but why do I keep getting these FM3 feelings during these videos?

I don't understand. Its like saying "I keep getting these Gt4 or GT5 prologue feelings when I watch Gt5 gameplay". But, to be honest, the game looks really different to me. On the Camino track video itself, I can tell they improved the lighting, shaders, car sounds, tire sounds, atmosphere, hud, sense of speed, cockpit Pov,vibration effects, smoke effects.

*edit* also JDMKING13 and II-zOoLoGy-II, stop bickering.

And if you said that I would not have any problem with it or quote you to try to call you out. Good for you buddy 👍 Again that's why I said I You know this is a forums where people post up their opinion did I say it was a fact? all I said these videos keep giving me FM3 feelings. If you read my comments in This section I give FM4 props for the graphical upgrade so please don't try to make me as someone is who trying to hate. @ Bogie thank you 👍 I never use that feature so I had no clue

I was not talking to you. Read it again. Thank you.
Not talking to me? Maybe you should think about how you post. You don't say something like that after my quote.
If you have no idea what I am talking about. Do I have to take a screenshot for you?
smh.

Yes, take the screen shot. Then read right above where I quoted you and see what it says.

You're welcome for the in game video I posted for you by the way.

Zonda Cinque Rivals Mode (beating Chris's time :) )

Sorry for the poor quality of the Zonda vid. I didn't realize it came out that bad. I will re-record and repost a better vid tomorrow.

 He think the other side is FM 3 he does not know that's Fm4 with a day setting and a dusk setting comparison.

@Sele1981 I'm laughing because when I 1st saw the video I thought the same thing, until I realized the track wasn't in FM3.

Oh ok, I thought it´s a FM3 with FM4 comparison :dopey:

^^^ And you guys really thinking that FM4 is a good looking game? To me it was like "WTF?". AV mode is good but in-game...They didn't get grays right (road surface and color in general). It looks like it's black and white and reminds me GT4, where no matter what you do you didn't get good saturate colors.

Now all my bets only on game-play...I've forget a dream about a game that looks better than GT5P.

Of course it's my opinion. I've said all this not to start complaining wars. I (almost) don't like GT5 graphics ether.

Im sure it doesn't look like that in the retail game/actual demo. This is a hacked/modded version of the game. The video that I linked might be alpha or prealpha version. The lighting seems to be off in his videos.

And yeah, I think this guy might play around with the graphics a little. He has a few FM3 videos as well with modified lighting(Example), so he might be doing the same with this.

Well, I have the demo and I can tell you from experience:

The interior lighting is crap in just the STI. The other vehicles are accurate and easy to see.

Its fine in cars like the 458 that have colored panels. But in the STI which has a black background I cannot make out any of the numbers or redline unless the "sun" is right on it.

You know it may just be the modeling of the texture of the STI's instrument panel. That one is horrendous. The Eliminator I can see fine. (It is black as well).

Also, the rear view mirrors are probably functioning at around 30fps. Since the game is at 60fps it is quite noticeable. Not really that big of a deal but just something I have noticed.

After putting several laps into this... I am not totally convinced they "reworked" their physics. That same "too much grip though corners at full throttle" problem is still there.

Yeah, the STI is indeed dark. That is the car I have spent the least amount of time with actually, but I need to spend more time with it.

Ya I think the lighting with the STI is just bad. You cannot make out the instrument panel. I am playing on a 42" 1080p tv.

Most of the time there is either an excessive amount of glare or it is just too dark to make out.

I just double checked all the other cars and none have this problem, so I retract my previous general statement. The STI just really stood out to me.

Hopefully there are not many cars that suffer from this problem in the full release.

The STI is better, but not perfect, on a PC Monitor, on my 46" TV, the video processing tends to make the contrast that little bit too high to not make the STi look definitely too dark for comfort.

And I agree the Zonda full throttle grip is a little higher then my brain is saying should be right, but the Eliminator dispels any notion that they haven't taken a massive step on in default tyre grip levels, that thing oversteers if you sneeze near the throttle..

And that's not going into the massive raft of physics improvements in general car feel, the way weight transfer, grip , braking all combine feels really good to me, not iRacing vicious, but very good indeed.. I'll reserve judgement, I expect a few things to be top notch, some to be arguably not perfect etc, overall, I can't see this being anything other then very well received.

Agreed completely.

Also, everyone knows the telemetry model is available in the demo right? Just use the d-pad or similar on wheels to access it.

Damage is awesome. It is definitely localized to the point of impact. I just snapped the driver side mirror off the Zonda!

Am I missing something? I am playing the demo on my Samsung LCD TV, and I get the same thing, the cockpit is pretty dark. If you look at this video at 2:15, everything seems perfectly visible

makes me wonder what build the demo is. Definitely seems like a different build when compared to the one in that video, at least when it comes to the cockpit lighting.

Physics is a nice improvement though

Ahh, I was correct.

Pictureghost1 captured his footage in the wrong colourspace, making the blacks too dark (A problem I have had before).

He mentions this in the description.

If it's too dark, you probably need to adjust some settings on your TV.

It could be my TV(I did increase the gamma correction on it). It's definitely not as dark as those in Pictureghost1 videos, that's extreme.

This is what I see

which is quite darker than

Did you try the demo? what is your experience with the cockpit lighting?
