As you cycle through the views in the FM4 demo, they nailed the sounds when comparing hood view, 3rd person view and cockpit view. Cockpit it becomes very muffled in comparison. Then again, it makes sense. The sounds they recorded for the cockpit view were recorded in the cockpit.
 
Are these cars that loud in the cockpit in real life?

It sounds like the engine is in the passenger seat :/



Sounds about right.

Well, when you consider that this guy isn't pushing it since it's his car.

Even my '02 Blazer is loud when I've got it to the floor.
 
If that Rx-7 is stock, it is way too loud. It sounds good, but too loud. I'm anxiously awaiting 3 rotor 'music'

It was in no way 'music' in the last two games. It sounded like an S4 13b with broken flowmaster mufflers.

This is what a stock FD should sound like



PGR4 nailed it perfectly. Shame T10 doesn't seem to be as crazy about sound even with the guys from Bizarre.

Turn 10 seems to be extremely anal about sounds, especially considering some of the shifting and turbo sounds we are hearing, which seemed to be absent in many cars in PGR.

However, they still need some wind/drafting sound improvements.
 
He knows that. But it's Forza...he has to try and find something wrong with it.

I'm serious. You do nothing but praise something you have no connection to and completely dismiss/attack anyone who points out any gripes they have with it.

Get out more. I'm not saying this as an insult. I'm saying it as some genuine friendly advice.

Really? So why don't you get all jiggy with it when I was posting about all the great stuff I like in GT5?

Or why did you purposely not point out that I have critiqued Forza for:

  • Lack of Draft/Wind Noise
  • Missing instrument panels
  • Steering assist in FM3
  • Flickering shadows in FM3
  • No pit options in FM3
  • No choice of private lobbies and hoppers in FM3
  • Poor visuals in tire deformation
  • Lag in some 8 player online races
  • A grinding career
  • Glitched Auction House
  • Removal of wheel choices in FM3
  • Inability to color some body parts in FM3
  • Shifting liveries in FM3
  • Slow loading games and liveries
  • Cars that are too easy to recover
  • Ring that is too wide, innaccurate
  • and many more

I have complained about plenty, but ironically, you only seemed focused on the things I like. Why is that?

Your right. But atleast its a proper rotary sound. but not on the right car when its condition is stock. its going to be tuned anyways. so I'm happy.

How many cars are on the demo?
I don't know to be honest. He may actually have the game & is calling it a "demo"/using the Alps track to cover himself from a NDA. Or maybe the demo has a few cars that are locked from players & he hacked it?

I'm curious about the 2 Home Screens being shown & whether or not those are available in the demo, though. I wouldn't think so, but maybe someone with the demo can set the record straight.
 
So the fact that the Speedo needle disappears into the face of the dial doesn't seem like a problem to you?

FYI, that exact same thing happened in FM3.

Even better, the boost gauge is working (Middle of the 3 smaller dials towards the right)..

Apart from the ludicrous contrast (tm), when the sun does illuminate them, they look pretty spot on!

The rev counter seems OK, The speedo looks OK, so I'm also not sure what is broken??

When the cockpit lacks finite light, you can't see anything anyway.

180-200 is where it's disappeared if memory serves, I watched it a couple hours ago when I was downloading the Demo at my mates place (net still capped)

There is nothing to debate. It's a fact that it's happening and it's a fact that it happened in FM3.

For those with poor eyesight, try the 720p.
