I have the game and have wrote a review on the game myself, and subsequently, I have also ditched the game about 4 months ago. Predictions only allow so much foresight. Forza 4 is a better game. Simple. But, there was a time where that wasn't the case...why can't the tides switch again?

I dont know if you've seen the gameplay footage and reviews but even with night and weather gthe simulation is still lacking. From what i've seen so far it looks like a mix between Grid and NFS HP.

Not even close (mix between Grid and NFS HP), no resemblance. I can tell you don't own pCARS, and to say "...the simulation is still lacking" is not fair especially for a game that is in development. The goals are high and it "may" not end up as the sim leader (on PC) but it won't take much to beat GT or FM for a "racing sim" (and I am a FM fan). GT and FM are more of driving/racing/car collecting games which isn't a bad thing, pCARS is not competition in that area but as a racing sim it's ticking all of the right boxes.

You're judging from videos, which means you have no idea which cars have placeholder physics and which are near complete.

I've played both games and GT6 stood out. It just needs 900 degrees interior wheel rotation like RFactor... Forza feels like NFS games...

Yeah that looks pretty good until you see it from chasecam. I'm not saying it's **** because it looks great. The last trailer they released looks sublime. But my impressions are it's not going to be as fluent and engaging as a Forza game. Just my 2 cents.

Ps: I dont just play Fm fyi. I've played a lot of sims and Fm feels closest to real life to me.

Based on what? The exterior cameras aren't perfect right now, no, but they're still being worked on. The fact it only looks a bit iffy in one view suggests it's the view that needs work, not the physics itself, surely?

If the models don't sit in the environment properly or textures are too large/shiny etc then yes, PC games can look very clinical.

Forza 5 has a very natural look for such meagre specs.

I've looked through the PCars photo thread and apart from shots taken on really hot specs, it just doesn't look all that good on lower end set ups.

Yes. On Max settings ofcourse it will look good but not better than Forza or Gt with a locked 60fps on a premium track with a premium car. The enviroments and carmodels look amazing if you max it out like the guy did in the triple screen video but other than that it holds no candle to FM5.

Thats not saying i wont be going to buy it. Like i said im not a blind Fm fanboy. I play multiple racing games (sims)

You really don't know this till the game comes out, there was PS4 footage in the last trailer and it looked absolutely staggering. There's still a long way to go, and even though it remains to be seen if the PS4 can hold a native and locked 60FPS 1080P game, if it can, it could be on par with FM and GT.

I wouldn't be quick to call it stale. It's their first title on next gen, which continues to improve with more content. I think, to some extent the hardware prowess of the X1 as held them back somewhat.

Maybe a PC or PS4 Forza is the answer. Just speculating.

If the X1's hardware truly is as inferior as they say it is, then it's sad to know the FM franchise doesn't have a whole lot of room for innovating. However, I am of the opinion, that rather than just prettying up the audio/visuals and physics, they really should focus on more content and features. More stuff to do.

^^ MORE reasons that would make you want to go back to FM again and again. Much like the way FM4 did. At least, I thought FM4 had ridiculous shelf life. And it completely plummeted GT in that regard, among other departments.

Well Slip let's keep it real do you really think is base my opinion on that? One only has to take a glance at that thread to see what even the 'Hardcore' fans are saying about GT. Second, my logic is not just based on a mere meme thread . For those who dont know i bought a PS3 solely for GT. So i base my opinions on actual experience. I'm not even going to get sucked into making a long post with faults etc. We already know where GT is lacking in regards to Forza. T10 just does it better.

I actually agree that Fm4 is a more complete game. Most of that has to do with the lack of content. Fm4 had about 700+ cars with all the dlc, FM5 now about 260+. So most of the lower score has to do with the fact that they now have less content.

You are forgetting that GTP isn't the entire GT6 clientèle, to be perfectly honest I am betting most of the casual people who buy the game(and make up the majority) don't really care if the car sounds like a hoover. Only the hardcore fans are complaining because they care the most about the franchise, not because they want to rubbish GT6 for no or little reason(which is what I seem to grasp from you, suddenly rearing your head and bashing the game when it became 'standard'). Although, I really don't get why you also bash pCARS so harshly when it shouldn't be a problem if Forza is so ahead of the pack?
