I mean loading screens and the like. You are still aware that they exist...correct?

I never felt my progression was halt and that I had to spend real money to continue. I don't support micro-transaction by voting with my wallet. I don't buy any. If someone is stupid enough to spend 32$ on a car, I don't give a crap

I'm glad you are like that pal, cause I am the very same. Micro transactions are the absolute devil, and GT6 doesn't 'win' in any way really cause it still has them.

I'm just glad that you would have to go into the PS-Store and find out if they even exist rather than the game pointing it out.

Pushing it ? I've been playing Forza 5 non stop and I never saw a pop-up or a message telling me : Buy this or you can't continue. Plenty of credits for racing. Tier 4 reward was 4 millions credits this month.
Do you have VIP status? I could be wrong, but I think that since it comes with an automatic payout bonus, we're saved from seeing it pushed in our faces. It's almost like paying to get rid of ads (not that I'm agreeing with this practice).

I do not have VIP status. I bought the regular digital version. that's it. I got lots of credit from racing and rivals. The trick it to try to drive with the same car manufacturer and get the affinity bonus going. I am also racing with expert level drivatar and almost all assist disable. the payout is much bigger.

It takes all of six minutes for them:
The damage control of the other side has been even faster.

Naturally, I don't expect many people to use these credit packs, but it's absolutely not surprising that the outrage that surrounded FM5's tokens is not echoed in the even more expensive GT ones.
You are surprised that this:
Eurogamer
The issue is, will Gran Turismo's progression system be adversely affected by microtransactions? Eurogamer's Martin Robinson has been playing the game and tells me GT6's economy works exactly the same as GT5's, with progression, payouts and car prices very similar.
I can confirm that there are no signs of credits being buyable, it isn't even obvious in anyway that you can do so. Not like an EA game or Forza or anything.

Don't gets the same criticisms as this?

I, and most of the gaming universe not...

Yes, I am surprised that the most expensive car(s) in GT6 (of which there are at least 3 costing that much) will cost over $100 each. I'm unsurprised that somebody like you wouldn't find that appalling, since those blinders of yours must be so big you have to deal with constant tunnel vision.

I've yet to see any sign that car gifting is back, and if it is, if they'll stick arbitrary limitations on it again.

When I will be force to buy a DLC or do any transaction to complete a game. I will complain. Otherwise, this option is only for lazy gamer who doesn't want to go through the career. I am fine if they want to pay for it. This is my stance whether is in GT or Forza series.

I just checked the relevant thread and all I have to say is let's hope things are turned around just as quickly as they were in FM5.

Oh, the irony... :)

You should rethink your arguments.

On-topic: rethink what? Are you actually trying to use a mock-up from the manual as a source for the credit pack prices over the prices currently listed on a website with them available for purchase? I know you'll attempt to twist any aspect of reality around to suit your fantasy dreamland, but this is new even for you. Yet again, not that surprised.

Do you want to talk blinders to the person who traveled for 10 hours for the chance to meet Kaz this past September? Or the person who, unlike you, is mature enough to appreciate more than one racing series, not thinking they're some sort of significant other you have to stay loyal to? You can find my posts here detailing my disappointments with FM5, and they don't resort to the stumbling and backtracking you're so fond of whenever you're asked to back up your regularly-scheduled made-up claims. Go on, tell me again how a proper tire model is a "minor aspect" of the physics engine.

A fan of a series wants to see it improve, and isn't afraid to offer criticism with that goal in mind. I recognize this is probably too complicated a concept to grasp, but maybe I'll just use some of that good old fashioned "hope" that finally, miraculously, you'll get it.

Oops! They had time to update the printed manual weeks ago but not these prices?

Update: Gran Turismo 6's Most Expensive Car Costs £120

I'm not making the case this is any better or worse. Just deflating your argument.

Important to me that all the cars were available in "Arcade race" or "Time trial".
Therefore I do not like gt5 and I liked fm4 .In this FM5 - no, but why not make the passage of 80 % or 100% career mode , all cars have become available for a test drive on any track ? So it was in fm2 ,
and it motivated me to do a completely " career mode". I am sure that if there are people in the world who are willing to pay $ 40 per car cheat , they will do it by passing a career mode . I do not want to , but I want to use all the cars after the career mode

You should rethink your arguments.

Said by the person who used the fact that PD didn't fix anything about GT5's horrible game economy for GT6 (to the extent that they didn't even bother removing the stupid credit cap) as proof that they aren't trying to push the microtransactions. The microtransactions that basically amount to being the only thing they did change.

I don't, I own the 2 games and whereas GT5 provides me 0 challenge (apart from avoiding the turtles mid-corner in my chase of the rabbit), FM4 has me fighting for position most of the race without having to implement lame "pass all cars from the back before the laps runs out" formulas.

I bet for FM5 vs GT6 it will be just the same sadly...
I think I will believe the video rather than you

I think I will believe my GT5 experience as regards whether the AI will be challenging or boring.

I went down to get a copy of Gran Turismo 6 this afternoon but my local HMV had none in stock. It doesn't come in until tomorrow.

Unfortunately they just got some stock of Xbox One in so now I have something to play my FM5 on.

I hope GT6 addresses some of the gripes people had with 5 but I'm expecting to be too busy playing Forza to worry about getting hold of GT6 now. Hopefully they at least ditched the paint chips.

They didn't, though at least now, a chip doesn't disappear once you use it. Yep, infinite uses now, but you still have to collect them all, Pokemon style. Unsurprisingly, this small change is enough to satisfy some folks.

Its GT5 with more duplicate Subaru and Skyline. I am glad I am skipping GT6 this time around. I am too busy with Forza 5 anyway.
Oh, really? So that's why there's only one new car between Imprezas, Skylines, Miatas, S2000, etc.

you do realize there was enough of them already right ? Seriously,I am a GT fan but this is not worth 60$. They should have skip the PS3 version and release on PS4.

Neither are compelling enough for me to buy honestly. FM5 has really underwhelming graphics (considering the hardware) and the drastic cuts in content make the cost of entry a nonstarter. GT-6 is a no go simply because of the sound. I would probably buy it otherwise, but it's too poor and too distracting. Perhaps GT7 and FM6 will bring me back. Until then I'll play...oh wait, I'm in grad school, I won't play anything.

Underwhelming graphics on Forza 5 ? Are you nuts ?

The production version is nowhere near as good looking as the E3 build, as has been posted all over.

It is easily the best looking racer EVER on consoles and seems to give Pcars are run for it's money on machines twice the price. For a launch title it's brilliant looking...If you think back to Forza 2 and how Forza 4 looked were in for a treat in the next few years!!

Exactly. This is gtplanet after all. Things wont' change. If Forza was on the playstation platform, I bet it would be a whole different discussion. Forza 5 is a superior games in terms of gaphics , physics and customization. Anyone that said otherwise needs a reality check.

I don't doubt that. Launch titles always look pretty previous gen
