I don't get the auction house. When I'm on the market for a car I'll fight with others just to obtain it, but when I put that same car up for auction no one bids on it.
The truth of AH.
They don't bid on the same price or a cheaper "no bid" auction, and they bid on the auction where I'm bidding.
And when I submit the same car, no one will bid.

I'm sceptical as to whether FH4 should change so that it actively excludes players from events they could previously participate in with no restrictions and then tell them to go away and "git gud" if they don't like it. That's bound to lead to increased resentment and dissatisfaction with the game.

If competition is needed then perhaps PG should introduce new events and structures in multiplayer where people are intentionally competing, instead of introducing hourly deathmatches.

I completed my 7th daily Forzathon challenge last night to go along with the weekly, and you guessed it, there were no bonus points. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next patch.

I enjoy doing the hourly Forzathon thing. I always feel compelled to join in when the message pops up. I wouldn't mind seeing some additions/tweaking though - things like more locations and a greater variety of challenges would help keep it fresh. It might be fun to have restrictions on car types/classes. Of course the target score would need to be adjusted appropriately. Doing a speed trap in only P50's, for example, would need to have a lower target score than normal. I'm not sure how to deal with supplying the cars if people don't have them, though. I guess just offer an event "rental."

I would also like to see a leaderboard per challenge that displays the top so many scores. Maybe give a couple points or a free wheelspin for the top 3 finishers for each round. It might encourage people to try - I hate seeing people parked off to the side leeching away.

For me, the most important fix for Forzathon Live should be the fact that you can be in the circle with a whole load of people, then as soon as it starts all but a couple disappear - but they're still visible on the map! The result is they fly (sometimes literally) through the stages while you and the other rejects do your best but inevitably fail. It happened to me last night for the first time in a while, two other drivers and I got about a quarter of the way into the third round when we failed, such a waste of time. I wanted to take it easy and use my 288 GTO but when I saw that I got the F40C out and attempted to carry them but it didn't quite work out!

@raven214 extra rewards for contribution would be great, although easily exploited: if you measured contribution by the speeds you reach or distance you jump, players with the fastest cars will always win. If you do it by the number of runs you do, people could cheat speed traps by doing loads of slow runs instead of a good number of fast runs, and conversely getting good distances from danger signs would work against you as you'd have further to go to get back - or you use fast travel, disadvantaging people who haven't unlocked it yet.

I think that just adds up to a system that would either give mediocre rewards or one that would involve too much work to make it hard to exploit. That said, with appropriate restrictions it could work.

The game's already doing that, though. It's not uncommon to show up to a crowded Forzathon and, after the count down, be left to do the challenges on your own as the other cars all disappear.

I think Forzathon Live is pretty much fine as it is. Any attempt to add leaderboards or rewards would take the fun out.

What fun? The recent sentiment even here has been mostly "it's boring and repetitive."

And, in my opinion, the "everybody wins equally just for showing up 9 times out of 10" structure of it is part of what makes it boring. It's the inevitable "I get the same rewards no matter if I actually contribute or if I AFK for 15 minutes" conclusion that saps the fun and anticipation out of the next hourly Forzathon.

My best guess would be next week on either monday or tuesday on one of their live-streams that we’ll get something on that.

I’m just going through and getting all the race series levels to 20 including drag racing. 👍

I love how every time I speak the truth about Forza Horizon 1's car packs being terrible on the Forza Subreddit, I get instantly downvoted. I know Forza Horizon 1 was and still is a great Forza game, but the amount of rehashed cars in the car packs is indefensible.

Easiest fix, I think, for the leechers that let everyone else do the work would be to introduce an idle timer during the event. Haven't moved your car or attempted to score points in over a minute? You're booted off the island and you don't get a reward.

I actually really like Forzathon Live. Problems I have is the campers and no sort of system that keeps score. I'm curious who does the best and which car. A system that somehow rewards the highest score would be fine too. Some kind of motivation to keep you gunning for the best.

Never really understood those that go to the events and don't participate. It's an event that you WANT to join and have some fun. People actually go there and do nothing but collect points acts like it is a job is lame. Yes we should work together to blast through the event. But in the end most of us that do the event have a good time I would think even though those campers still get their free ebt forzathon points.

It would be nice for them to have a system to kick those freeloaders off. But then again knowing how Forza is they could never find a way to deal with those scumbags like rammers etc. Or they just want to make their game some safe space so everyone is a winner and gets a participation trophy. Just like first place and last place reward is just a tiny difference. They want to make it appeal for the soy racers I suppose.

PG, if there's one car that desperately needs track width options, it's this RS4. Poor thing looks undernourished.

It's weird seeing a car with a number plate that has no Brake Lights.

Imo race cars shouldn't be on Horizon keep it to road legal stuff, it looks stupid, I'll take their engines though lol.

I love the FXX, been waiting on it to come back since FH2. There are plenty of cars in the game that I could do without (AM General) but Turn 10 knows enough put in a wide swath of vehicles, I love that FXX, did I already say that? :dopey:

That's hardly the same thing though, and booting cars out on purpose would be just as bad.

I haven't had a chance to fire up the game yet. Anything special for the seasonal championships?

That’s great to me, I’d take a another step if you don’t post a score for a portion of the event you get no points for that part. So if you only post scores in 1 and 3, and do nothing in the 2nd you only get 20 points. Skip 2 events get 10 points. Just drive around get nothing.

I would totally drive this IRL, the challenge to not be a road block on the streets would be hilarious.

Another too easy drift car, could be a good car to make a truck series race with the Hoonigan F series though, I guess.

You know there is too many Hoonigan cars on this game when they have two 2016 Focus Rally Cross cars that only have a difference in livery for the gymkhana video it was in.
