Does anyone know what's going on with the 812 that was supposed to be the Forzathon car? When I look at the store I see the Porsche that's supposed to be next weeks car. Hopefully we're not seeing a repeat of the Type 2 from FM7. :nervous:

I have a feeling that the 812 will be added in once everyone gets into the game on Tuesday, and then the Porsche will be put back into the rotation for next week so everyone else can grab it.

Welp, the underbody active aero flaps on the LaFerrari and the 488 are bugged. You can see that they're there but they're not animated.

It's weird because they worked fine in FH3; and front aero flaps on the Giulia and the Senna are fully animated, even though you'll never really see them in gameplay.

Similarly, the VW Baja Bug's exposed engine is also completely unanimated (the visible fans and belts and such). You can the pieces all move as expected on all the other offroad buggies.

Is that nitpicking? Maybe. But the cars are the stars in a racing game and the lack of consistency makes the bugs and oversights stand out that much more.

Going by recent Forza games, Playground Games seems more attentive to accuracy in the details than Turn 10 does. This probably leaves some hope for fixes in the coming weeks, but it needs to be reported in the right place of course.

I'm having trouble with the final Summer Forzathon Weekly Challenge. It says "Use your lightweight agility to earn 3 stars in total from Speed Zones with a Retro Hot Hatch car." I've used the Fiesta XR2, VW Corrado and Acura RSX, all of which are Retro Hot Hatch, and I've gotten a cumulative three stars in Speed Zones with each one, but the game isn't giving it to me. It's the final challenge and it's worth 100 Forzathon Points, so it would be nice to get it.

EDIT: and now I've got my second game crash, while browing the Forzathon challenges.

You have to get three stars on a single speedzone

How well optimized this game is? I was able to run Forza Horizon 3 at a solid 60 FPS on the Ultra setting, except on the forest.

I can't even do the ultimate speed skills challenge. I tried doing it on the highway with a Integra but i could only get awesome speed skills. If someone has a tip to make that challenge feel free to share it.

Thanks, that worked. That is one badly worded challenge.

Acura RSX with RWD and Turbo I4 engine conversion. It does 220 all day long.

For the ultimate speed skill challenge, I've been using the Mk.2 VW Golf GTI with a rally engine swap (I wanted to try out the widebody kit). It can do 200 mph, but it's really hard to do it. The Golf is really tailhappy, it just wants to slide whenever I reach a turn down the highway.

Speaking of speed why is there a Peel P50 that does 6,362 mph?

Also I’m getting a sound bug on my Xbox, if I let off the gas after staying on full throttle a long time it’ll lag and still sound like I’m accelerating even though I’m not. It happend so far with my Aston DB10, Koenigsegg, and Hoonicorn Mustang.

YES!!! I don't know how I did it exactly but FH4 works with my CSL Elite.

After I tried the temporary fix that was suggested via the official forums I got my Fanatec wheel, pedals and TM TH8A analog handbrake working but no FFB anymore and the Fanatec wheel tab was missing in the control setup tab....
Then I decided to completely uninstall and reinstall the game from my PC. About 20 minutes later a new benchmark and setup session. Huh? The Fanatec wheel is recognized again and the settings of config1 are still in place. It works!! Now tweak to my own preference. DOR, FFB etc.

I spent about only three hours in this great game. Then it was bedtime at 3AM. What a beauty of a game with a very high fun factor. Lots of details both during racing but also in the menu's. This is my first Forza Horizon game and I like it a lot. Very addictive. Now I have to keep my son thinking the game does not work yet ;). Daddy wants to race.

Yesterday my glass was almost empty and now it is filled again. That easy

With the dynamic optimisation and the ultra preset my RX580 sits between 60 and 90% load with v sync on.

I have to say I really like the the Forzathon Shop. I got the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed FE and the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS for free. And the Union Jack t-shirt, too, why not.

I was striving to get the Bentley, but then I won it in a wheelspin. Super Wheelspins instead, then.

Since release, i just drive arround in a old 83er volvo, this car feels soo amazing, i not even tuned it, finished all race events with this car:) Awesome physics!

Someone know what is the longest race available? Im little disapointed, unlocked the last race but it is only a 20km race :( Is there a race arround the whole map? If yes, how to unlock?

VXR
I'm disappointed with the winter physics. They seemed better tuned on Blizzard Mountain. You'd slide at low speed under braking as you should. Now cars feel too secure.

I'd like to add that I'm not feeling a noteworthy difference between surface types during different seasons. The autumn prologue begins with this Alex character inviting you back to experience how the same dirt circuit should now feel entirely different compared to summer. I'm not saying it didn't feel different, but not to the point where it's like having four games (four seasons) on one map.

If I'm honest, I actually feel a bit bored by it already. All they had to do was make the car slip a bit more on ice and it would've felt a little more authentic and worthwhile. It just feels dumbed down in all ways. It's a very good game, I'm just not sure it's what I wanted it to be. Supercars are fun, but Britain is fairly unique in that the size of the place makes humble cars feel exciting and we have what, five naturally aspirated hatches?

To me it was fine, just what I expected. The scenery looked different, there was more mud on the ground and some puddles to avoid.

That prologue with all the seasons already feels so long time ago and it went by so fast since I also collected all my DLC cars during that time, I barely played in autumn due to the massive car collection influence from that;) I'm starting to get really used to the common parts of the summer map now, I'm absolutely looking forward to how they will look in the other seasons!

I think the season changes are brilliant to pump extra longevity into the open world map, in FH3 I think after 1 week of playing I already got very used to the map. This FH4 map already feels more complex (more roads, more elevations) than the FH3 one, so add the seasons to that and it will feel fresh and new for a longer time.

There comes some strategy with it as well. Like drift zones, what season are they best to do them in? :) Actually do the points to get 3-stars change with the seasons? Or barn finds, do you go find them now when they are well hidden in thick forests with leaves? Or do you get them in winter when those trees don't block the vision? And hopefully then those barns don't turn into white iglo's so you don't see them anymore. :P

Absolutely loving the season system and I don't want to have it any other way anymore in future FH games. :)
