Which says nothing about the non-issues that people seem to apply to them as they come up. Really, all it is is the wheelspins in a different guise, something that is no stranger to the Forza series.

Maybe my interpretation of the "corporate stupidity" remark is way off, but the crates ultimately came across as an unimaginative attempt to mimic industry trends just because. More could have been done at the time, and the recently added Race Shop sort of proves it.

Which doesn't take away from the fact that they've been in Forza games for quite some time now, just under a different name. So for people to be up in arms because the fact that the name issimilar to one that had some extreme controversy circling it in another game, yet literally have very little in common with it, just strikes me as kind of odd.

I would agree that the crates in FM7 were frequently criticized for the wrong reasons, but their inclusion in the first place was unnecessary.

FM6 level up prize spins were on point, much like Horizon Spins. FM7 should have kept the prize spins while adding suits into the mix of cars, mods and credits.

I really don't see them as any more necessary than wheel spins. Both of which you were able to purchase on your own if you wanted that little extra boost.

What's wrong with the current method of offering you a choice of credits, a car, or driver gear?

I think you're both kind of agreeing with each other. Prize crates were included because they're in other popular games and they thought it would translate well to FM. FM did them right by not tying any real money into getting them. The problem is that prize crates are often microtransactions in those other games, and that tainted how people saw them in FM7. People still erroneously think FM has microtransactions because of those crates. Instead of saddling the game with something that has a bad connotation, they could have done something different from the start. The fact that they swapped out the prize crates for the race shop shows they realized that. It also shows they're willing to make a change when most other games aren't.

New car pass + seasonal/Forzathon cars. Not pictured are two variants of the Final Fantasy Quartz from FH3.

The prize spins in FM6 had jackpots, the three choices in FM7 never do.
Ah that's right, I actually forgot about that. Not that it was hard to get money in any of these games, though. FM6 had me sitting on millions, and was gaining more than I was spending, I think FM7 was a lot more mellow in that regard, in a good way in my opinion.

What, like Quartz and Quartz FE? (I actually liked the Quartz. Still holding out hope for the Chryslus.)

Edit: Or maybe a Forza Stories version of the Quartz?

So freakin' happy to see many returns and new additions coming to FH4. This is freakin' awesome!

And I'm not too surprised to see some of those people not liking the Quarts. Just more blah blah blah from them as usual. For me personally, I'm glad it's back. Heck, even my little bro (who is a big FFXV fan) is happy to see it again.

For any photographers, at times, the Forza Subreddit can be quite cruel to you. I got instantly downvoted straight after I posted a photo of the 2017 Ford GT. This happens nearly every single time I upload anything on that Subreddit.

You know we love you, but seriously, you were sitting on this:

And all you could think to say was this?

That's called "burying the lede."

I wasn't actually sitting on it, but rather didn't have a picture handy and expected someone to post it before I got around to it

I wouldn't take it too personally, it happens to me too. Sometimes I'll take a photo that I think is amazing and it instantly gets buried at 0, sometimes I'll take something I think is decent and it'll hit 200+ upvotes. The popular stuff at the minute appears to be one guy who overly edits their shots and posts them constantly (bad IMO), and another who posts old vs new pics (good IMO). There's no real rhyme or reason to what others like. Just take something you are happy with and share it, regardless of how it's received.
