It doesn't take that long to amass that many points. 2000 points is doable with 5-6 weeks of completing daily and weekly challenges if you have Lake Lodge.

I'd consider having to play a game for over a month to accrue the points needed to be a pretty long time.

Kinda arrogant of PG to think their game is good enough to hold that amount of interest 10 months on for that many people.

Not least because the store cycles every week...

Like I said, anyone who has 2,000 FP at this point is likely to own the car already.

This leaves Forzathon Live as an alternative. You can get the necessary points in a week, but you need to play a lot. It makes Playground (and Microsoft) happy to see those really cool player stats, but at the cost of making people grind online events to do so.

In the end most of those who will buy the car will be speculators. Indeed, it's a good way to force them to spend FP on it, but chances are they're the same ones who will list the cars for 20 million in the AH anyway. So who exactly is Playground trying to help here?

I can't for the life of me get to 80% to get the Tuscan. I've done everything there is to do and I am stuck in 75%. I wish I didn't spend 10,000,000 on my Nissan Z32(I really don't regret it though), because now that I've completed almost everything, including Fortune Island, money is really hard to get.

This cannot be literally true. If you had done everything there is to do, you'd be at 90-something percent, missing only the few daily Forzathon objectives that aren't available yet.

I could win it for you and put it up on the Auction House. I'm like 1% away anyway.

Well, never mind. I finally managed 80%. I had no idea the Top Gear thing would count towards it. Everything else was gold. This is by far the most painful thing I've ever done to unlock something in a game. I just hope no other car that I want (the Honda Prelude) gets the 80% prize spot, because there is no way I would reach it again. And grinding for money is out of the question as I've exhausted all the easy-money races and special events the game has to offer.

Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it.

Ah, the Top Gear Story. Yeah, you have to get all the stars on that to get a good percentage to the Season and Series. I got it all done right after it was released :)

I normally get the higher events done first like the Rivals, Adventures and (In this case) Stories because most of the time they're easy and they stay when you move to the next season.

Live stream starts on youtube in about an hour and a half. I can't catch it live because I am at work but I figured I'd spread the word.

I really don't like being required to get all stars on the story for the playlist. Thankfully I'm not trying to get to 80% for anything because on some of those missions I simply cannot get 3 stars.

I like being encouraged to play the story, and I did enjoy it, but why require 3 stars on the whole thing? Why not require 1 star on each mission so you are least complete them or require a lower total overall so that those that have trouble with certain missions can still get credit by 3-starring other ones?

It just occurred to me that this update has no returning car from FH3, which there usually is, and it's one of the things I want the most every month. It's hard to lose great cars... That said, two completely new cars and two classics carried over from FM7 is not bad at all.

New cars for the next update:

Aston Vanquish Zagato
Aston DBS Superleggera
VW Karmann Ghia
VW Type 3

Four interesting cars but when you see some previous updates and when you know that two of these come straight from FM7, I think that that's a bit lazy in terms of cars; some rewards like "already given out" cars could be replaced by other port overs from x1 gen or new cars ;)
Don't get me wrong, i still want to drive those.

Only two new cars this month, great cars though, I do wonder if we will be seeing the Nissan and 917 before too long. The classic VWs aren't my bag, hopefully we'll see the S800/Opel GT/Datsun 2000/68 Monaro come back in one of these updates.

Mind you as much as I don't like the Lego cars (in game) you have to admit they look fantastic from a photo realism side of things, just a shame it doesn't extend to some of the real cars.....

Joking aside I hope they fix the M5 eventually, I knew the front lights where messed up but I didn't realise the back was so bad.

Isn't the 2012 Aston Martin V12 Zagato from FH3?

Only 5 new cars? Weak update, but the 2 new Volkswagens are new to Horizon.

We used to pay for eight new cars every month. So five free cars are not bad at all even though two of them already existed in FM7. It’s a nice mixture of new and old.

Free cars in GTS (returning or new) - "PD is the best", "amazing update", "can't beat free"
Free cars in any Forza game (returning or new) - "weak", "boring", "why didn't PG add...[insert car].....?!"
