Missed out on the ItalDesign in the Auction House for 400K. Soon after that I managed to snap one up for 300K. Nice car. That sorts out this weeks efforts!

It's the Monte Carlo SS you get from the LaRacer stories, the vintage tires are Goodyear NASCAR slicks.
Aw, jeez, now I've got to check my Monte Carlo when I get home tonight and make sure I haven't accidentally sold it as a duplicate.

My team managed to win the Trial on the first attempt, thankfully. The 918 is MVP once again. Came 1st in race 1 and 2, then came 2nd on the last race.

Does anyone know how the points system works for Online Adventure (team)? I'm at level 12 and trying to get to 10 (Star Card non-sense), but it seems impossible. When my team wins, I get a small amount of points, reached level 11 at one point. But then when my team loses, I lose alot more points.

What gives here? Are the other modes easier to achieve level 10? (like Solo adventure, drift adventure, etc)

I'm trying to get qualified on drift adventure and it seems to be taking forever. I've been at it for five days and I'm still at level 4. I recall it taking me just a day or two to get qualified on team, solo, and free-for-all.

I'm rather proud of figuring out a drag tune for the Regera for the seasonal speed trap, even if just by 0.3 mph (I got it easy with the Rimac in another account.)

It is really simple. If you manage to beat a team with strong opponents (rank 10,9) you will gain a lot of points. On the other hand if you beat a team with low level players (unranked,20..) you will gain zero points. But if your team lose to lower level players you can lost hundreds of points. Also, you can win every single race and still lose points at the end since is a team based.
I would recommend solo adventures. When I qualified for this season Free-for-all I got 900+ points and jumped from rank 9 to 7. Also in solo you mostly gain points even if you end poorly. The most I lost in solo was 19 points. You will lose 20+ points if you quit any adventure so it's really not that bad.

It's the same as others. You need 10 adventures to qualify. Maybe you were doing Quick Adventures instead of Ranked?

I'll have to double-check, but I thought I was doing the unranked adventures necessary to get ranked.

Realized I still had some Horizon stories to finish so I went back to play the LaRacer one. But why did they not use the Ferrari F50 for the Project Gotham Racing chapter??? I mean come on, it's not only the cover car for the game, but arguably the most prominent video game that people resonate the car with.

Also, I like how they mentioned the kudos system as a similar aspect of the Horizon series in regard to earning skill points. However they didn't mention most important part, to which I also believe Horizon took inspiration from PGR, which is the radio stations themselves! That was such an integral part of the game, just like it is for Horizon. It's nice that at the end of the chapter, the girl says that even though she wants a PGR reboot, having Horizon isn't half bad, which is really true. It does have some of the great elements of PGR.

Still want a reboot though...

I checked on my second account and you can't missed it. But I did saw that you can join an adventure already in progress. So you can do two races for nothing. If you don't complete all three races it won't count towards ranked progression. Same can happen in Team Games too. Such a shame.

Yeah, I noticed that. It's my luck that I seem to always join while the first race is in progress, so I have to do five races to get points.

When doing the trial to get the 917 I found a special character. We both quickly got to 1st (him) and 2nd (me), and were easily making a break away. But then I tried to overtake him, to which he tried to take me out, failed, and took himself out. So I finished 1st, he was 4th or something, and our other teammate scored nothing, so we lost the first race. In race two I placed first again, he was third, and we won. And then for whatever reason he left for the final race, and in the end I placed first and the other guy placed last once again which proved to be enough to win overall. If he'd just kept on going he would have gotten his 917, and the third guy got a 917 for placing pretty much last every race and scoring nothing.

I do enjoy the chase of dealing with bad players though, because it reassures me that I don't suck. :P

I'd really love to know what is going through the mind of people like that. Honestly, in Trial races I don't even care what position I finish in - I just try to race as fast as I can, and keep an eye on the score in the corner.

I just got the 917, 8 minutes after being too late by season change (started 5 min before). Racing without the safety net of "retry" is always the best :nervous::D

Anyway, the new shop (Autumn):

The Sprite Forest remix event is now !"#$% impossible!
The main reasons that make this event difficult are the fact that Sprite is a very light car and the gear ratio of this car is not suitable for this course.
Until you enter the quarry, gears of 4th or higher will not be used. Basically you will drive while switching between 3rd gear and 4th gear.
Since the acceleration performance is quite different between 3rd gear and 4th gear, basically you should downshift to 3rd gear when the speedometer falls below 150 km/h (93 mph).
And this car is so light that it is susceptible to puddles and bumps.
Try to avoid a puddle as much as possible and find a route that can run smoothly.
And this car is easy to disturb posture even when jumping, so it is necessary to approach the ramp as straight as possible. Let's repeat the rewind.
With proper driving, you can overtake the first rider downhill ahead of the quarry. Good luck!

The fact that it is a rear wheel drive car in the mud doesn't help either.

This game will, eventually, reach the end of its life-cycle. What will happen will all the exclusive cars then? For a late adopter, "If you didn't get them, tough luck"? Or will they make them available on the Autoshow (or unlockable through events)? Just something I thought about yesterday.

Forza 7’s exclusive cars became available after about a year, so I think it’s likely.

Great S2 and S1 races and a Drift event for the Playlist. Looks like I won’t be doing much this week. At least I hit over 60% last week so I may still manage to land the overall 50% Porsche.

Just in case, I managed the 356SL from the Auction House!

The Trial right now... impossible to win despite winning every single race. On another note is FH4 running just terribly on PC for anybody else? Very little runs properly on the game it's a joke.
