I'm having some trouble with the drift zone challenge this week, I'm not a good drifter and have used a variety of cars such as a few Hoonigan cars and the Formula Drift cars and my best score just over 95k points when the target is 128k, I struggle with the speed of some of the cars when drifting.

Any help welcome.

Unfortunately I'm no help. I've tried that one but I just can't do it. For the first time in thirteen weeks, I'm not going to get 100%.

The Formula Drift Viper is what I used. I put AWD on it and some other upgrades, but it's my go-to car for drift zones. Just dont over throttle, drift left, then right, etc. Remember you can rewind in between the start and finish if you don't like a particular drift.

Due to Game Pass, I started playing Forza Horizon 4. This is a game that wouldn't have been on my radar AT ALL but I thought, thanks to Game Pass, what the hell?
I've gotten hooked. It is such a fun game that doesn't take itself seriously and has such a depth of vehicles and customization. I feel like a whole new world has opened up for me and am so thankful.

Welcome!!! Most have us have been playing since launch. Nice to know people are still finding the game.

Used a FD Viper fully tuned and was able to get it.

I gave it one more try last night. I used the Hoonicorn V2 and surprised myself. On only my second try I beat my previous best run by almost 10,000 points and got the achievement.

You know what. If I could pick 4 cars I would choose to buff up the Modern Rally class, especially since it's 3 manufacturers and seems like it gets picked for seasonal championships on a weekly basis.

2019 Citroen C3
2019 Hyundai i20 Coupe
2016 Volkswagen Polo
2011 Skoda Fabia S2000
2010 Peugeot 307
2009 Suzuki Swift Sport

It would turn the least diverse class into one of the most diverse really quickly.

An evening of doing ranked unranked team adventure later and I now have the Porsche 906. First things first I lowered it and made a 1000km Nurburgring livery for it. :D

After hating the idea of festival playlist for months, I've now decided it's actually not that bad. Though I won't partake unless it's for a car I really want, and because the rest of the thread is doing wishlists at the moment for those few cars they might add or bring back, I thought I'd join in.

Bring back/add from FM7:

Renault Alpine GTA V6 Le Mans
Renault Clio V6
Volvo P1800 (maybe add an ES instead, because I'd wet myself for that)
Holden Monaro (HK)

New:

Alpine A110 (new one)
Citroen DS23 Pallas
Lotus Europa Special

At the moment I don't have any cars I wish to see get added to FH4, although it's a lot. But if it's one car I really want back into the franchise, it's the 2009 Nissan Versa SL.

If PG can just bring this car back in its full HD form (with its engine and other compartments modeled), I will be the most happiest guy on the planet because I own this car irl (though it's a CVT). The one in FM4 had gears and an aero trim.

Also I'm really loving the list of cars you all are coming up with. It will be a dream come true with all these cars being suggested. :D

Finally managed to got the seasonal objective on the drift zone, I used the FD Viper with an AWD tune, it all clicked on one run when I got over 142k points.

Thanks for your help guys. 👍

I'd even like to see a few of the traffic cars already in the game become available, particularly the Mazdaspeed 3, Subaru Legacy GT Spec B, and BMW 323ti. I'm a bit biased, though, as I have a Mazda 3 (but not a speed) from that gen and test drove/considered buying a Legacy GT and a BMW 328i. So it could be a mix of kind of close to reality and what could have been.

For some more personal nostalgia, I'd add to my pack a 2000 Honda Accord Coupe, 1992 Nissan Sentra, and a1976 Plymouth Gran Fury ex-police car.

As for this week's Forzathon I decided not to keep trying the Trial nor the drift zone, so I won't get to 80%. Did the others, though.

As for drift zones, it is better for beginners not to try Formula Drift cars AWD conversion.
Many of the Formula Drift cars have very high horsepower and there is a risk that the AWD conversion will make the car too fast for the drift zone.
Because of the large steering angle, these cars are difficult to spin even if they are RWD, so if you are going to play the drift zone, it would be better to use Formula Drift cars with relatively low horsepower, such as #98 BMW.

For beginners I would recommend the 65' Mini Cooper or the 68' Abarth 595. Tuned to A class with drift suspensions and AWD those two are really easy to control and can make those drift zones less painful.

Cars to bring back? Drumroll, FM4!

-2004 Cadillac CTS-V for Retro Super Saloon and NOT RETRO MUSCLE. (c'mon, we have the Audi R/S4's, E39.. It's right in class and direct competition)
-2003 Hyundai Tiburon/Tuscani for Retro Hot Hatch, as we don't have enough V6 sport compacts.
-The DMC DeLorean, of course.

New content:

-the 1989 Nissan March SuperTurbo as a Cult Classic
-1990 Plymouth Laser (or Talon, or Eclipse) for retro hot hatch. Why does everyone turn a blind eye on the first generation??
-2018 Lincoln Continental as a Super Saloon.
-1968 AMC AMX for Classic Muscle.

Haven't noticed before, but there is a Mini Convertible to grab if you get ranked in Adventure. Also an AMC Rebel, but you need to grind till legue 15 which can be a little hard.

Nice to get two cars that are not available in the Autoshow in the shape of the 2019 Macan Turbo and Fairlady Z (300ZX type).

It made a pleasant change to get some easy event to participate in. The Extreme Off-road proved easy with the Regalia off-roader. Tuned to S1 801 with full front and rear downforce it was up against a complete field of A Class cars! The Porsche SUV was relatively easy as well. I used the “old” Macan Turbo, A708 from the Autoshow. I added full front and rear downforce, wider rear tyres and some heavier wheels to bring it back to A708. There were some A740 Cayennes but the Macan had the measure of them.

I now need to find a suitable sub 25K car for the last series.
