This message reads to me like it could be someone's Make-a-Wish car. Owen could be a gravely ill child. He's a huge fan of Horizon. Parents contact Make-a-Wish (or the British equivalent), ask if PG can make a special one-off car just for their son, and they deliver with an "Owen's Edition" McLaren P1. Now it's out in the open and there are obvious privacy concerns with the family. This is obviously just conjecture, but it fits with what's known.
I would like this to be true :)

That's very cool of them to do that if that is the case.

Bethesda did something like that in Fallout 4, there's a location in one of the DLC maps called "Evan's Place" that has a friendly NPC in a shed with a bunch of supplies for you to take. Story goes that a kid named Evan was a massive fan of the game and died of cancer or leukemia a few months before the game came out (If I remember correctly anyway) and they honored him this way.

(Hopefully this isn't too out of context itself as it's the only official word so far, thought I'd screenshot it)

Part of me thinks it's a tribute only intended for one person.

Serious Retro is best Retro. <3

Yeah, this was a bit of an oversight on the team's part, since, as the HS cars and the special Senna demonstrated, it was possible for cars to leak in such a way by looking at Advanced Restrictions. But it was not nice of AR12 to exploit this oversight. If it had stayed at the Advanced Restrictions screen, it'd have been fine, but AR12 went out and about leaking secret parts and files... Pretty bad stuff.

That's very cool of them to do that if that is the case.

It's probably based off the story of the ill child who was visited by Lewis Hamilton and his F1 car. If this is the case, it's something I'd love to play through!

I just got a ton of achievements from this update. Mostly from the season playlist and a few story ones.

Finally a good reason to get 100%. The interesting part is how Xbox Live registers a whopping 0.02% of players who have this achievement, that is, 200,000 out of more than 10 million players. Which is more or less how large the FH4 community currently is.

But the best part of the update was the changes in wheelspins. One year later, that first crappy update that increased their price is finally compensated! First thing I did was to buy lots of Super Wheelspins to test it, and it works perfectly.

Took them long enough to reimplement yet another thing that was in FH3, but now at least I can say it loud and clear that FH4 is a better game than 3 in pretty much every way, apart from lacking Blizzard Mountain.

I got that, too. They came in two waves. After I got the first set of achievements, I let the XBox sit for a couple minutes, and then another waves of achievements came through.

Oh man. The Race Central seasonal championship had an I.D. R in it. It just took off and I couldn't catch it, even in the MC12 Corsa.

Well, in an unexpected twist, I won the Ferrari Spa 330 in a wheelspin. So now I own every car in the game.

Edit: Sorry for double posting

If anyone plans on doing the Mustang Trial, be warned it is a dirt trail event.

Also the McLaren 600LT is in the Track Toys division. Interesting placement.

All the Vipers sound atrocious in game, like a misfiring dirt bike.

I noticed this charming piece of work while installing a rollcage on my 993GT2... I don't think it's meant to be that way.

Pfff, that is really bad! On the other hand, I wonder if installing a rollcage on any model really impacts performance.

It undoubtedly adds weight. Which impacts speed and handling.
