Dang, looks like the jig's up for me. PG finally suspended me for 30 days for time travelling to get the Divo. Not saying I'm in the right, but they should really take my example and several, SEVERAL others and maybe actually find a way to protect their incredibly broken and fragile season system. It is far too easy to take advantage of and it wouldn't be an issue if they bothered to check for oversights and exploits.

Welp, back to playing offline as usual!

I think this is why the DeLorean isn't in the game yet ;)

If you time travel to get a time machine, then you always had that time machine. That paradox is exactly what's preventing PG from adding the DeLorean - players can already time travel, it's been there all along :P

So...

The Rossion Q1 is fun to drive but it isn't really anything special, this exclusive system makes things special when they shouldn't be. The model shows its age in quite a few areas and the engine swaps are generic.

The only "rewarding" thing about winning it was having enough luck to win the PGG on my first try. All 10 players in the lobby were Prestige 1-3. Read: newbies don't care.

The event's twist itself was surprisingly interesting, though. I expected the hypercars to fare much worse in the gravel, but they had acceptable handling and enough power to resist the nerf from extended periods of time as King.

Regarding the new story... I keep telling you this studio gets highly praised for such little effort, I find it all sad. Two months of teasers in #TorbenTuesday... for this. Something they probably took a week to make. At most.

Very clearly aimed at newbies, and very clearly a reflection of PG just trying to get by with dressing up common stuff as "special". Even the flavor text is recycled from the Upgrade Presets screen. And, in 2019, people fall for it. EA was criticized for much less in the past.

At least it features Alex, which is by far the best character in the game. So there's a very slight plus to it. I would have enjoyed it better if it had been part of the game's progression upon release, but today in FH4 I need more than that to wow me, especially when Top Gear was great fun.

Sorry for double post but it's a different subject. Since they don't have the ability to control the playerbase (it's large) you can be sure someone saw you in the Divo (whether yourself or your Drivatar) and reported your gamertag to PG.

They had a whole game to inspire themselves on, which was Pokémon Black/White. It had seasons and you could also time travel, as usual in Pokémon games with internal clocks. The difference was that Pokémon didn't have timed online events and the timed events it had didn't impact online gameplay. So the ability to tweak the clock on your DS and time travel didn't really make any difference at all.

Unfortunately the clock in FH4 seems to be controlled by the client, not the host. It's very weird actually. The day-night transition is the same for everyone (or at least feels the same) but you can change the date at will. An easy way to fix it would be to have everything handled by the server... An expected way, actually, considering PG's parent company is Microsoft, which owns a huge server network. But Microsoft doesn't even give PG enough disk space to make the garages hold thousands of cars, designs and tunes, so it's also possible they didn't think of such a solution.

It must be something else. I got banned for one month on my second account too and that account is always offline.
I would never complain about the ban because you still cheating. I just don't think it is the right solution to the time travel exploit.

One thing I noticed. The red team will most likely be the strongest team. I'm not sure but lately the red team would have higher level players and also the most players when uneven number of players join the games. But maybe it's just a coincidence.

I was on blue team and we were at a disadvantage both rounds.

So... Apparently after winning the new story/business chapter 2 Audi Quattro you cannot delete it from your garage, neither the one you (potentialy) already have... :odd:

Mmmmm...

Yes, that is an unfortunate problem with Barn Finds. Put it on the Auction House and leave it for 60 days (I think) and it will be deleted.

You too, huh? I got suspended as well, until November 22nd.
Ah well, good thing I was working on my second account anyway. :P

So what happens when you get suspended? Like what are the things you can't do in game?
You can't enter Horizon Life, use the Auction House, download designs, and a few other things.

Well at least I'm not the only one.

It's strange, though. Because I know for a fact I was still offline after everything was said and done, so maybe they're actually looking into players' garages now...which is once again such a bass-ackwards solution to the problem!

Hmm, looks like you got hit harder thsn me. I can still use everything you mentioned, but the Club stuff is grayed out, and I CONSTANTLY get disconnected from Horizon Life.

Oh, that's just the FH4 servers being the FH4 servers, I'm afraid.
Thing is, it ONLY happens on my main account, which is the one I was temp banned on. On my second account, I almost never get disconnected. I seriously can't help but wonder if the game is trying to keep me out of Horizon Life by frequently disconnecting me.

Oh for 🤬 sake! They did it again, made it so I have to win the "Playground Games" to get a dlc car. I hate it when they do this!
I can't win these, it's impossible. I am bad at things like capture the flag and I'm usually parried with players bad as me with the other team always being so skilled.

Prize Cars as such should only be for events with A.I. opponents where I at least have a fighting chance, not any of this nonsense.

I totally lucked out: I wound up on a team that had 6 players as opposed to the other team's 5, and after we won the first round the opponent team dropped two players out of what I can only assume to be frustration and we wound up sweeping. I think it might be karma for how long it took me to finally get that hillclimb Volkswagen in the Trial.

I just kept dropping out if my team lost the first round of PG games. Usually the losing team will lose a few players after round one and then the rest is easy.

Okay, I actually won on my second try and it was a close one oddly enough. My team ended up with less players at 5 versus their 6, but it ended up being a tie 2 to 2 being broken by the final event. I now have a Rossion

With that said, I still HATE that event and having to win it to get that car.

Judging by how the Pumpkin Head is the prize for 50% Summer completion, and clothing is usually the prize for PGG/Trial rather than completion, I think it was either a (convenient) honest blunder or someone changed it at the last minute...

I won first time but the opposition made me work for it. Best to hope for is landing in a good team against a bad team, which is completely random and not likely if the trend I saw in the PGG I won (all prestiged players) is the norm for most Games.

As it stands IMO, PGG should not be such a big thing in the game. It's, as Naughty Dog said of The Last of Us' multiplayer mode, a "fun distraction", but not what most people are here for. Having to win with random people is just... not what I'm looking for.

This goes for Trial as well since you need a party of six to run your own party, if it's any less you're matched with randoms and there's no synergy within the team, which leads to losses and frustration.

Decided to load up Horizon 3 after so long and the nostalgia just came rushing back... Everything about it is amazing in my eyes. The cars, the map, the expansions, it's all so good.

I stand by saying the Hot Wheels expansion is the best one they've ever made, bias aside and all :P

Really makes me wish they would've done an even bigger one for Horizon 4 instead of Lego. It's not that I dislike Lego, its just lacking in comparison to the "other" crazy expansion.

Horizon 3 really is still one of my favorite games of all time!

I played FH3 off my brother's account with the Hot Wheels expansion only and on the OG Xbox. A couple of weeks back I got the Platinum edition with everything and the map for like US$20 in the One X (regular price more than US$110!)
