Well, I don't think we need to blame the people who were expecting Pacer for this.
Or anyone. It's a teaser that people assumed pointed to a car, but pointed to a new feature.
It was in FH3, after all.
Given the upcoming second lease of life - and likely long one before the next FH - with Xbox Series, I suspect it will arrive at some point.

Perhaps we shouldn't have assumed that the fourth clip was a car from the film, but we did. And we're responsible for that assumption.

PG shouldn’t hand out clues to features that are virtually impossible to predict, especially when they are shared alongside actual car clues and reference movies that have iconic cars in them which already exist in other Forza games. It comes across as nothing but as an attempt to misguide fans, but what for? In light of all this, clues to new features just seem unnecessary.

Nielsen. That's why I quoted him.
Ah. No wonder I didn't see it.

All fine, but I don't see how teasing a new feature is a "middle finger attitude toward the fanbase" - and a lot of the fanbase was bitching about it being four American cars just 24 hours ago.
Yeah, I'm not going that far. As an AMC fan, I'm disappointed the Pacer isn't returning to the game (this update, at least), but I'm not going to throw a tantrum over it.

Seeing how people react to T10's social media activity really helps me understand why PD does things the way they do.
.

That's more so old school Japanese game development work dying hard, but yeah. I get that. Granted, PD are trying to make an eSports focused game where communication, fast communication, is needed. And not simply silhouettes Kaz posts every two and a half months.

Given the upcoming second lease of life - and likely long one before the next FH - with Xbox Series, I suspect it will arrive at some point.

And for some people, it will never be enough. There's always another thing that Playground should have added, and earlier.

So what if the assumption was true? Everyone would simply be demanding the next car on the leaked/most wanted list, and specifically speaking, considering your posts on the matter, you would have simply written it off and continued to find another thing to 'criticize' Playground over.

Then there would have been no problem per se. Of course there would still be things to criticize because that’s a big part of what forums are for when addressing the people who sold you a product.

They won’t add that because it’s a concept car, they’ll probably add this TRX though

You can both dream on, we all know the answer of what will be added is a 2019 Kia Sportage EX. At least, that’s what I’m pining for. Really though any pick ups production or concept would be welcome, especially the lightning. Also, I would love some fixes to the collision ghosting at some point, I trigger it myself swiping a wall more than getting rammed into corners does.

I feel like they're trying to be like GT where they have a bunch of concepts to drive. Might be a license thing or that they don't have enough spec information about them.

Given what was said in the stream these updates aren't as strong as some bigger ones are on they way, so they've had to juggle stuff around. I wonder if Halo being delayed has lead to an expansion for example being brought forward so they have something 1st party of interest for the XBOX One series SX launch. So hopefully something that will extend the game in a meaningful way is on the horizon (no pun intended), because even though its been great they've done free updates for so long, I would happily have traded the last 6 months for a paid map/gameplay expansion.

On to this weeks cars, well it is what it is if bigger updates are on they way. One thing I find odd personally would be the lack of consistency with vehicles of a similar model. The standard C7 was dropped after the Z06, which will likely face the chop with the ZR1 and likely C8 in FM, same with the lower spec Camaro and Challenger. Now I find these cars more usable from a gameplay point of view, more room to upgrade and more classes to fit into. I know they can't just put all 1000+ Xbox one LoD models in the game even if you took licencing out of the equation. So to a certain extent I can understand why an SS gets dropped for a ZL1, or why the classic euro, Aus, US and Japanese cars take a back seat to the British ones, however in DLC they then add a slightly higher spec ZL1 or a slight body style change (720/ Spyder, Syclone/Typhoon) and it seems like a wasted choice. It would be interesting to see how they choose what cars get selected for the game because it doesn't make the greatest sense to me. Too be clear I think Horizon has a great roster and this is more of just an observation.

Did I read correctly on the previous page that there's two new car pass car packs coming?
Just continuing of splitting up the Car Pass into smaller packs for people that might not want to buy the entire Pass. No New cars.

The new patch fixed the game again! At least I have not found anything broken yet.
The Velociraptor is huge. I don't think it will be much of a use. At least the AI seems a little bit faster in the Merc 6x6 when racing in A class.
Anyway, as a car enthusiast I'm happy for any car they bring. Even if I'm not going to drive it much.

Yes, it appears to have fixed the strange glitches in the previous update. That said, I only played for 30 minutes so I should probably not jinx it too much.

As I expected. A big meh.

These recycle car packs suddenly make me wonder if they’re gearing up for proper new car packs. The next generation consoles are coming and in Forza Monthly they mentioned something about forthcoming news beyond the ordinary, which had necessitated some slight rearrangements to the update release schedule.

Clearly just a wild guess it’s related to car packs, but I think it would make sense to once again monetize proper new DLC, since the Series S and X consoles represent a new phase for FH4. I know I’d buy it, because the amount of free content they’ve added does deserve some sort of wallet support at this point, unlike the extremely redundant Welcome Pack.

Whereabouts in the Forza Monthly stream did they mention that?

Patch notes:
https://support.forzamotorsport.net...057741393-FH4-Release-Notes-October-13th-2020

    • Prevented duplicate series rewards being awarded. Players will now only receive the rewards for the current series.
    • Fixed an issue where the camera would reset multiple times after exiting the player home.
I noticed it also fixed the car loosing control when joining live.

It was nice getting lots of Crown Victorias while they still had a decent price on the auction house, but I was rather getting sick of accumulating ATS GTs which are practically unsellable now!

I never had a problem unloading my extra ATS GTs. They were always the first to go when I would put several cars up for auction. However it doesn't seem the fix has happened yet. I just got an extra Diablo GTR for getting 50% in the weekly Forzathon.

Yes, I can't remember a credit fall in terms of percentage as big as that ATS! Think I bought two extras at 138k and they had dropped further to just under 80k the last time I loaded up the auction house.

I'm not sure if it's just me. But doesn't it feel funny to fall in love with the IS-F and GT86 all over again?

That's how I feel right now after getting them today. I used to not drive them as much back then, only to start now. Guess I'm just glad they're back. :)
