So... turns out that NISMO Wordle thing is just the GT-R LM if Japan continues to lead in the cup...

Kinda disappointed...

I feel that they had to add the #NewToForza tag because everyone was thinking that it was going to be the GT-R LM.

So there's still hope for the new GT-R NISMO or even the 400Z NISMO concept.

Which leads me to believe that it would have been added eventually and we are just getting it earlier than whatever other rewards they had planned.

I'd lean more on the GT-R Nismo since the 400Z hasn't been out that long and they've scanned a GT-R Nismo, iirc.

Edit:
Looking at their Facebook page, it appears the cars are not new to Forza. The Cobra is for the US and the Nismo GT-R LM for Japan....

I hope they clear this confusion out soon, cause if the reward car is going to be a car that’s already in game, I’m gonna go down to Leamington Spa and they gonna catch these hands :grumpy:

Was more or less to be expected. But that doesn’t mean the R35 NISMO is out, it might still show up some day.

I have already long given up on this silly World Cup event. I just do the events in whatever car from whatever country. What’s the point of it all anyway.

I would like to hear about the DLC soon, I really enjoy the game but I am getting to the end of the content available. (200+hrs)
I still enjoy doing the weekly Forza playlist and Trying out the new CarPass stuff but as soon as I finish that I feel clueless of what to do next.
Yea I’d like a word on the first expansion as every other Horizon game got their first expansion 2-3 months after release, hopefully we get news by the end of the month for Forza Monthly/Let’s Go. But the Nismo tease seems like it’s going to be a season reward and not part of an expansion…

My XBox One has died again and this time I think it's for good. I should be able to pick up a refurbished XBox One X for under $400 this weekend. Hopefully I won't miss out on anything in the weekly playlist.
Are there no Series S available for purchase? That would future-proof you, and any digital purchases from your One would play just fine (better, actually.) Then again, getting a One X in good condition would get you by if no S/X is planned, even if no 4K display because it downsamples.

Just for comparison's sake:
release | exp1 | exp2
FH2 10/30/14 | 12/16/14 | 03/27/15
FH3 09/27/16 | 12/13/16 | 05/19/17
FH4 10/02/18 | 12/13/18 | 06/13/19
FH5 11/05/21 | ? | ?

FH2 and 3 were both on a two year release schedule, so it made sense their expansions came out when they did. I'm sure FH4 was supposed to be a two year game as well, until the pandemic threw all the monkey wrenches into everyone's plans. I'm fairly certain it had a later release of the second expansion compared to the previous games because they had already decided it was going to be a three year game and they needed to stretch things out. I'm guessing FH5 will also be a three year game (at minimum) so they're really stretching the expansions out to prolong game life. I don't think they'll actually do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they started releasing expansions at the game's release anniversary so Expansion 1 becomes the focus of Year 2, and Expansion 2 becomes the focus of Year 3.

I've decided if I'm going to get a series S|X, then I'm getting the X. The One X is a good halfway point between my One and the Series X until I can find one and have the money for it.

The S is good enough for me. I also bought a 1 TB storage drive for it so I can swap out some of the big games I have. Maybe once I had my fun with FM7, I'll move it over to it to save up space for the new Motorsport.

That's good thinking, I'll be bold and suggest that upon getting your One X, then save for a 4K TV (specifically the LG CX/C1). Trust me, your console will be forever thank you, and you'll be ready for 2024 when the X will be at last widely available.

I’d be shocked if they don’t at least announce it soon with Gran Turismo coming out next month.

AR12 Nick appeals to kids and young teenagers.
(But yeah, AR12 is just… awful. Sorry, AR12 fans.)
:grumpy:

I'm 21 and still watch his videos regularly. He was one of the first YouTube channels I ever subscribed to over 7 years ago because it was good quality content for a gaming franchise I couldn't readily access. Things have changed now that Forza Horizon is available on PC but that hasn't stopped me from watching his videos. It may not be the most entertaining thing out there but Nick is an honest guy who consistently delivers, hence why I've never unsubscribed.

And you should keep watching his videos. If you're enjoying them, then don't worry what I or anyone else thinks about them.

Or maybe not....

So after all, this is coming to FH5...

Isn’t a brand new Series S cheaper than a One X? And even at the same price point I would highly suggest to get the Series S instead, even if you get a Series X later. Like Nacho said, it’s more future-proof. The fidelity in games is also better in most situations and it has a fast SSD inside instead of a slower HDD. Besides, the portability of that thing is amazing, I already have a Series X but was even lurking at websites to possibly buy a Series S to go alongside it for travels (instead of a laptop and Play Anywhere). Also the resell value will be higher if you eventually get a Series X since it’s a current gen console, the One X (even though a flagship at the time) is a previous gen console.

I also have my old One X still around but that is mainly because it support 3D blu rays (and I have a few of those disks in my collection). The Series S of course is diskless but the blue ray drive in the Series X doesn’t support 3D blu rays anymore.

Either way, I hope you can get into gaming again soon!

My collection of consoles in order of purchase date : (I haven’t gotten rid of any of them yet)

*PS3 (unplugged now but recently I have been tempted to play some GT5 or GT6 again)
*Xbox One (plugged in my sim racing rig in my second bedroom but that rig has been unused for years now)
*PS4 Pro (was idling for several years but in use again now for GT7 and Horizon Forbidden West)
*Xbox One X (used as a 3D blu ray drive)
*Xbox Series X (my main platform)

Then I also have an aged gaming PC with a steam and Battle.Net account. I’m sure old stuff like Warcraft 3 and StarCraft 2 can still be played there. 😆

Do you think the leak on new Audi , M8 is for the month of March? or will they be added later?
It's not even confirmed those cars are coming to FH5. They could come in March or they could not come at all. For now only a Nismo is confirmed. And even that is still a mystery.

I doubt that this information is true, as there is no valid evidence in the game files.

No way....VULTURE?! One of my all-time favorite Hot Wheels cars?!?!? Okay, please let that be legit and not some throwaway leak...

Would anyone be willing to sum up that video in a post on here? I’m at work currently and can’t watch it.

I’ll give that person a happy meal as a thank you :D

Okay... this dude claims that he's found textures of more Lego Speed Champions cars including:
  • Ford GT Heritage Edition
  • #2069 Ford Bronco R
  • Ferrari F8 Tributo

But, he's also found renders of these cars in the FH5 files too. I doubt that these files are genuine as I have never seen these files in the badge/wheel texture files

Person with 400 subscribers and no more than 800 views on any video puts entirely unreferenced 3D images in a video to the kind of music you'd normally hear in a presentation of a new mobile phone, with no evidence of where they actually came from.

He does give credit where credit is due, but it's still a bit clickbaity, especially since I believe he's not even a member here and he's basically leeching views from the work of our community.

Did a few Horizon Open thingies to get the points and I didn't know the Enzo is now OP in off road stuff...
Hi

I do try to give credit where it's due, it's only recently (within the past couple months) I realised this forum is where quite a lot of the leaks are from.
In the past I've got most of my info from other YT videos, reddit, and DM's i receive, which often never really mentioned the original source as this forum.

I completely agree my videos are slightly clickbaity, however my titles are true and as @Apple Slipper said, I'm simply just trying to get all the info out there, to my audience :) especially with the current state of FH5, quite a lot of players need some hope for some big upcoming updates & cars etc. Leak videos are always good for that.

I will continue to give credit, and I'll always appreciate everything @TheAdmiester, @Kelpy D & all of you find in the files.

Always happy to take constructive criticism if any of think I should be doing anything differently.

Thank you guys, appreciate it! I’ll get you both a happy meal :D

As I was expecting, nothing worthwhile, just another attention seeker.

There's a new update for the game (4.93GB on win store). Seems kind of big for what its fixing:

"PC:
Fixed an out of memory crash that could occur when racing The Colossus on PC
Fixed a crash that could occur on boot when the profile contained a high number of cars in their garage
General:
Fixed an issue with the 2018 Audi TT RS Sport Bumper disappearing
Changed some restrictions in the Festival Playlist to make them more appropriate to the countries being represented "
