The new oval brought me back to my olden days...

Daaaaaayyyyyyytoooooonnnnnaaaaaa let's fly away....
Yup, I was singing that stupid "dodo-do-do-do-do-do-dodo" song all the way through my first lap like a cheap 90s sampler.* I kinda missed the rolling numbers over the checkpoint though... it would've been funny if they mocked up a Horizon slot machine over the finish line.

*There are no cheap 90s samplers
I just had my worst trials ever.

in the first attempt I won race one but the other humans all came behind all 6 AI. Never had that before... gave up when the second race was similar.
in the second attempt we won race 1 easily, just lost race 2, and race 3 was looking like an easy win when I crossed the line.... only to see that the mid pack humans apparently all crashed out and came in below the AI so we lost 2:1.

apparently hot hatches are not drivable by FH denizens?
Nearly half my team was similarly sadly lacking in Focus and noped out second round. The other Ford and I still managed to bring it in on the third though. Next time tune your cars, ya imbeciles!

I wasn't sure about the STO. Now after spending a few hours driving I'm really loving it. My new favourite RWD car.
But the Misson R is what I'm waiting the most now. The Monthly Rivals is just fun. It's going to be my favourite EV for sure.

I really like the 2021 Lamborghini Huracán LP640-2 STO. Very planted and grippy at high speeds, even though it is RWD. Downloaded a official livery based on Chris Harris' review of this car on Top Gear. I feel that the additional diamond-shaped decals on the livery suits the car's over-the-top aerodynamic design more.

This makes me wonder, which car model has the most variants in Forza Horizon 5?

In DiRT Rally 2.0 there’s 7 Ford Fiestas (out of a total of about 80 cars).

Depends on whether you count generations. If so, the 911, skyline gtr and mustang probably. Else it is the Mustang (s550, rtr, gt350r, gt500 along with drift versions) or Aventador (700-4, sv, j , svj and technically veneno, centenario, sian etc.) or huracan (610-4, evo, performante, sto and technically the italdesign).

Actually they sold the Huracán Evo in AWD first then switched it to RWD: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Huracán

Similarly the Gallardo was sold in RWD as the Valentino Balboni edition, again the lightweight track focused variant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Gallardo
Gallardo VB is a bit less hardcore than the SuperLeggera which were the really hardcore one; even the « Ultra Hardcore » Super Trofeo Stradale was AWD.

For the Evo it’s more of a facelift of the Huracán and the Evo rwd a facelift of the 580-2 which is the « entry level » Huracán. They didn’t switch it; they offer both variants

🤷‍♂️

I just remember all the supercar kids flipping out because FH4 had the gall to include five different Porsche 356 variants (even if all of them were largely distinct from each other in body style and, in the case of the Emorys, the level of restomodding). Meanwhile I'm over here reliving all my happy memories with the PC version of NFS: Porsche Unleashed.

On another entirely different note: has anyone else suddenly started to experience Low Streaming Bandwidth errors on PC as of the previous season's update? I'm running it from an SSD and my specs are up to the task (my GPU's an RTX 3060), and I don't think I changed any configuration on my end before it started happening. It's aggravating and I don't know how to stop it from happening, considering every solution I've seen offered has either not worked (turn down the detail -- which I had no reason to do before), seems counterintuitive (move the installation to an HDD?), or is just not possible (I can't set FH5 to run as an admin because Windows 11 won't even let me access the folder).

No issues here on PC. Game runs the same as always (RTX 3070)

Edit: I play the Microsoft Store variant, since I cross play all the time between PC and Xbox.

Mine seems fine on Steam

I used to run the game off an HDD and since I moved to a PCle SSD to be expected the game runs and loads so much better. No graphical enhancement ofcourse but game loading and instances of slow terrain loading (Especially with Jumps) have pretty much gone

Whenever theres an update (and almost every time the game does the Optimizing PC thing on launch) the game always seem to change my graphical settings and effects my performance. So the first one or two times I play after an update I always got to try and remember what I had it to. I really should screenshot them.

I don't see how going to HDD can do anything but get even worse results.

Edit - Also to anyone who knows. With the Oreo Pagani promotion. I received an Xbox and Steam code via E-Mail. Can both be used? I have used the Steam one but if anyone wants a Xbox one I'll post here (Although I Imagine most of you have the Zonda by now) 😊

I used to have the same problem, I haven't tried it after the recent update, though. Microsoft Store version, running on 3060 as well.

I had the game installed on SSD as well, so I assumed it was my CPU, which is i5 6600K I bought in like 2016. I think lowering the video setting might have eased my PC a little, but I just ended up reinstalling FH5 on my Series X.
