The EventLab things this week are surprisingly decent. The one night track feels almost like it could be base-game content, and the mountain one is kinda cool but unfortunately has some framerate issues in a few spots on XB1, but not nearly as bad as many of the tracks PG has selected.
For anyone who has messed with the EventLab thing much, is there any way to force off the driving line or TCS or something? I can't seem to find a way to do it but maybe I'm not looking in the right menu.
I'm going to try something new for the Season Change article this week. Please let me know if it's helpful or not.
I found the new table of contents very useful. I mainly use your weekly write-ups for the treasure hunts and finding where to go to smash things and so on to save time hunting around fields... but then I'm pretty jaded/miserable/burned out and do the bare minimum to get the new car and be done with it.
You put in far more work than these RNG-quality weekly lists deserve and I do appreciate that dedication and the work it takes, but sometimes it took some scrolling around to find the section I needed so this makes it much faster/easier to find.
I don't think I have the mental capacity to go through 2 more updates with James Pumphrey in them. He's the very definition of the word cringe. The story mode this time was embarassingly bad and I hated just about every second if it.
I haven't even done either of the Donut ones but this is how I feel about basically every Horizon story. Listening to them chatter is painful and I often find myself talking to my TV. I just did the... one with the douchey street racers like 2 weeks ago for some reason, and after listening to them talk I start the race and 30 seconds in my idiot character says "ANNA call Jaimin" (or whatever his name is) and I found myself pleading out loud "nooo ANNA don't call him... just everybody stop."
I prefer to think it's because he knows how much we all hate him.
Being slightly more serious, I did see something on YouTube the other day from another channel they were doing a collab with and James was surprisingly tolerable. I never intentionally watched Donut stuff beyond like 2 "Up To Speed" videos so maybe they have dialed it back a bit lately?
